    Melrose Pasta

The portion sizes for pasta were amazing for the price (12-13$ for per entree including sides for many items). The pastas were perfectly cooked, and the sauces were rich and creamy. Everything, especially the seafood in the Fettuccine Milano, was extremely fresh. Even with the busy lunch hour, Ana gave us great service and brought our food out fast. We'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of their entrees!

In the area for work and wanted to find something walking distance. What a gem! Small place but perfect for small groups or just me. Excellent service, quick and pleasant. Had the Soup & Salad, $10 out the door. The minestrone was delicious and the Caesar refreshing. Don't know but came with delicious garlic bread. Will be back when in the area.

I've been going to the place for a year now and I love it. Very great service, I love their pastas, and affordable!

The office brought in Melrose cafe for lunch and it was well received. The menu has a lot of variety at reasonable prices. I had the salmon salad, which was very filling. So many greens. It traveled well and maintained its freshness in their to go packaging. It's a good basic lunch location.

Looked at the reviews when ordering Postmates and decided to try the Rosemary Chicken Breast. I added two sides: Fettuccine Alfredo and Steamed Broccoli. All for $12.00!!! I paid under $20 for lunch and tipped my delivery person. I absolutely loved the crosshatch grilling method. My food was delicious and it hit the spot. I had leftovers for dinner. I will try another lunch option. The minestrone soup seems like a good option and a Cesar salad. The food is satisfying and I'm able to treat myself at a reasonable cost (especially in Hollywood).

    Cook irate

I went inside to have a soup salad and burger. As my food was being prepared I walked to the window and noticed the lady rinsing off the silverware with just water. She didn't use any soap and stuck the silverware in my soup and salad. Also the cook wiped his sweat off of his head and continued to make my sandwich with no gloves on. I'll be contacting the health department. Also the cook got really irate. He also told me to leave and fanned me off with his knife after I asked for my money back. I won't come back...

Ceviche Tuna salad. Really good. Will come back. Thanks again!!!

This place is a culinary gem! The food is absolutely delicious, and not only for the incredible flavors but also for the great value you offer. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Keep up the fantastic work! My favorite plate is Fettuccine Milano. So Obsessed!

We met up on a Friday morning right when they opened and had no trouble finding parking in the lot behind. You did have to pay but it was cheap by LA standards. Not very many people since we came around opening, very chill vibe. Friendly staff and lots of great menu items. There is no bathroom in the restaurant! Chairs are just stools so not the comfiest place to chill but we spent a while just chatting and eating. Prices are kinda up there for the portion but it's trendy healthy LA food, so it was expected. I ordered the miso bowl and it was yummy and refreshing! The way it was served did confuse me though just because there was a scoop of hot rice and cold chicken and the veggies had no dressing. Are you supposed to mix it all up like a salad even though the rice is hot or are you supposed to eat it like a rice bowl? Idk it was odd. It wasn't till I finished most of the rice that I just mixed the everything together and it was better, like a salad. The cold chicken and hot rice really just threw me. But the miso dressing was delicious nonetheless! 4/5 Overall, I enjoyed this place but probs wouldn't go out of my way to have it again. But I am glad I tried it and it did fulfill what I needed: a chill place to catch up with my friend and refreshing food.

But I paid $20+ (including tax and tip) for a breakfast bowl that wasn't satiating. And to be honest, I just really don't like the fact that a bowl named after the community could leave you still hungry.

To end the night before we headed off to dinner, we stopped by The Semi- Tropic bar for drinks. The parking situation was difficult to say the least-- there is no street parking or parking lot. And the neighborhood behind the bar is filled with park cars. We were lucky and parked at a parking lot that was for the surrounding business (so sorry to the pizza/ weed shop!). We arrived at around 6:30 PM so it wasn't too busy. We were greeted by one of the servers and she gave us options to either sit at a lounge table area or hightop tables. We opted for the hightop tables because we knew we weren't staying there for long. The server was friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for drinks. I've been sober for about a year so I only had water, my boyfriend ordered a Naoshima Dream, his cousin ordered a Mango Cart, and his cousin's girlfriend ordered a Lemon Drop Martini. The bar was super cute and hipster! I honestly would have loved going to this bar back when I used to drink. It's dimly lit, had a vintage 20's speakeasy feel to it and the music was a vibe. I'd recommend coming here for a little date with your partner or even coming with a group of friends. My boyfriend had been here once before and he said the food was really good and affordable. He had a panini and said for bar food it was a 10/10. We waited maybe like 10 minutes for our drinks to come, we were having such a fun time chatting and enjoying the environment that it didn't feel long at all. My boyfriend, his cousin, and his cousin's girlfriend really enjoyed their drinks. They said the drinks tasted "light" insinuating that there was barely any alcohol in it. Don't let the taste fool you, after finishing half of their drink there were full of smiles, giggles, and had a great buzz going. The prices here were all pretty fair for the cost and quality of the drinks. Would defintely recommend coming here for drinks and dinner for a date night or a night out with friends!

We got here around 1:00 pm, fortunately just before a large line formed. This place can get really busy! And I understand why - the food is so fantastic here. We ordered the Bodega Chopped Cheese, the Korean Hott Fried Chicken, and some Waffle Fries. While at the cashier we saw in the window display the Black Sesame Chocolate Chip Cookie and we had to try it. We were so hungry - we actually ended up having dessert first! The cookie had the perfect texture, a mix of crunchy and chewy, and the perfect taste - not too sweet and the savory black sesame paired so well with the chocolate chip. The Bodega Chopped Cheese was mouthwatering and the ground Angus beef was succulent and flavorful. The fresh shredded lettuce and tomato brought brightness to the sandwich and balanced the beef and melted American cheese so well. We also ended up trying the chicken wings, which were juicy and delectable! They came with a Yuzu Crema - a top tier sauce. The wings were honestly delicious on their own and didn't need the Yuzu Crema, but that sauce did make the wing even better somehow. It was pretty busy here on a Saturday afternoon so I would like to come back on a random weekday and try more sandwiches. The coffee here is also good. I got the black sesame iced latte, and they put a lot of black sesame foam on, making it a decadent, rich, and nutty way to get your caffeine. I would highly recommend for a morning pick me up. I came here to grab a quick breakfast after walking the Silverlake Reservoir and it was the perfect way to refuel.

Both times the waitstaff were strangely rude, like remarkably unfriendly, and hard to get a hold of. The entrees we ordered were oddly small portions, like bizarro small.
