And, I'm glad I decided to get tire services at Pep Boys in the Everett, MA location.  For starters I'd like to thank Gregory V. for his outstanding dedication in customer service, he demonstrated that he is knowledgeable of all the products, he is a man of integrity that shows he stands behind his product and the phenomenal customer service. Greg's transparency allowed me to have full trust in him and Pep Boys. I can reassure you that I will be a long-term loyal customer from this day forward with Pep Boys and that Everett, MA location specifically.  Before arriving at Pep Boys I spent a week shopping around. I looked into every tire company in the North Shore. I shopped online and called many locations to try and get the best value. A majority of the other competitors had long phone wait times, were unhelpful and directed me back to their site which can be overwhelming.  I called the Everett, MA location at 4:53 PM and spoke to Greg. The first thing I said to him was: "I've been shopping around for tires as a gift for my Mother's birthday, and I have no knowledge about what are the best tires that are suitable for her vehicle. I have had no luck with other sellers." I would say that my voice was rather desperate for some answers. His tone was very warm, and patient. Instantly, I felt a sense of ease and was easily able to ask all the questions I had and by the end of the 20 minute call I had a good sense of the tire I would be looking to purchase. I asked if I would be able to get seen today even after knowing that they close at 8PM. He said he might be able to get me seen before they close. I told him I'll call him back before 6PM, and  I continued to do online searches after the call for comparisons and measured knowledge of the various tire products; And, I found myself back at Pep Boys for the best deal and astonishing customer service.  I decided to go through with getting my tire service at Pep Boys, Everett, MA. I had already had my moms car because I borrowed it for the weekend and had to get the car back to her before the snowstorm began. I got to Pep Boys by 6:30 PM and was out the door before they closed. I got all the works which was the 4 tires, alignment, and road hazard warranty.  I drove straight to my mothers house and I let go of the wheel driving on the highway and WOW! I drove straight for 1 mile before having to curve and was very impressed with the alignment work. The car felt taller, had a strong grip to the ground, and driving over avoidable potholes was not felt, which is good because my Mother has a pinched nerve in the end of her spine and can be felt with the tires she had before.  My mother was practically in tears when I arrived and told her that I got her new tires.  Thank you Greg. and to the Pep Boys team in the Everett, MA location for bringing joy to myself and my family. But-overall, keeping in mind that safety was at the core of their work and it shows. I feel at peace for my Mother to be on the road and to get home safely to and from work during the upcoming Nor'Easter. I went over to Mavis the next day they removed my wheel removed all the plug and that I put on the tire to get home and install the patch . Customer service was A1 . My tire works fine. I believe I'm in good shape with the plug however, I'm a big believer in extra safety so the patch that they installed gives me a piece of mind. I was in and out quickly .

I actually had my daughters car there and installed a brand new set of tires, mounted balanced, and they give you warranty over and above the manufacturer warranty, including rotations for free every year and nail damage repair. This is the most amazing part of my whole experience. I found a set of tires online for an extremely good price. Michelin is a very high priced tires so I was trying to get the best price and have them shipped to me from the Internet so I called Town fair to see if they would install them , they told me that they have a price match guarantee so I told him the manager which I was getting and where I was going to get them from. He took it upon himself to say that he will order them and then they can install them mount them and balance them They basically charge me about $40 or so for mounting, balancing tire repair and some kind of extended warranty, including free rotation for the life of the Tire I definitely would use this Town Fair Tire if you were interested in purchasing new tires and having them installed

My appointment was at 2:30 pm. I arrived around 2:20 pm to drop off my car and was told the service would take about 1.5 hours. When I returned 2 hours after my original appointment time, I was then told it would take at least another hour. The original time estimate was not accurate, and in total it ended up being close to 3.5 hours before I got my car back. It would have been helpful to have a more accurate estimate ahead of time. If appointments are running this far behind, they should consider scheduling fewer cars or being upfront about realistic wait times. For a scheduled appointment, this was a big waste of time.

Arrived at 5:00 PM and immediately got off to a bad start when they made me move my car around without explanation. When I went inside to speak with the owner about the poor service, his attitude was absolutely horrible. He's clearly not cut out to be a businessman. Without even knowing what transpired outside (since he was in his office the whole time), he told me I need to "be nice to his employees" if I want help. He had no idea what his staff had said to me or how they treated me. The final straw was when I simply asked an employee to check if they had my tire size in stock so I could potentially come back the next day - and was told "I don't even have time to check." Completely unprofessional from top to bottom. The owner has terrible management skills and clearly doesn't care about customer service. His employees follow his lead with their dismissive attitudes. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else for tires. This is the worst tire shop I've ever encountered. They were SO great! The kid who checked me in was very informative and knowledgeable because I forgot what kind of oil I needed. I'm immuno-suppressed and high COVID risk, so the only reason I decided to stop was that I could stay in my car and not have to go into the waiting room. The kid even asked me if it was ok if he opened my door to scan my vin before he did it which I appreciated. The older guy immediately started running the check on my fluid levels and even checked my tire pressure in my four tires while the kid checked me in. Also the other employees if we made eye contact they smiled at me as they walked by causing a pleasant aura. Now, I don't wanna get anyone in trouble or anything-since it's probably not what they *should* do, business wise-but the whole visit was a great experience! Really! At that point the older guy told me that my oil was in great condition that and he didn't want to take my money and do an oil change that I clearly didn't need. (He even showed me how my oil was still golden honey colored). He still topped off all my fluids and told me exactly when to come back. I'm actually considering driving all the way up to Everett to get my oil changed there when I do need it-in 2k miles-despite passing multiple other places to get it done everyday on my way to work throughout Weymouth/Quincy and Dorchester. The website instructed me to call the location to make sure the tires were in stock. I called and reached the call center which then connected me to the Medford location. They confirmed they had the tires in stock. I showed up for my appointment and encountered not greeted by Shawn the manager. He said he was not going to make me happy because they didn't have my tires in stock. I could either upgrade my tire choice or come back the next day. He checked the online bookings that morning and didn't call me to inform me that they weren't in stock because, "he had a day." I can't decide if his demeanor was just rude or just totally devoid of any customer service at all. I reluctantly agreed to a more expensive option since I took the afternoon off from work and just wanted to get it done. The shop was running behind which can be expected but when he came into the waiting area after an hour he called me and another customer to the desk and told us he had bad news for us both. Basically the other man's car needed additional work so he had to pay more for additional repairs and then he turned and told me that because of that man I was being pushed out much longer. At that point, I asked for my keys and walked out. His parting words were, "if that's what you want to do then fine." I felt like I was in an alternate universe the entire time I was there. My recommendation is to save yourself time and aggravation by taking your car to someone who wants the business.
