No matter what Mellow Mushroom location I have been to in "The Metro", they have never let me down food-wise or customer service-wise. I've only been to this particular location twice, but the statement still applies and stands...Annnnnnnd, they have a 100 current "Health Score" - Party on Mellow!! read more

Food was fantastic. Beyond what I expected. The white pizza is the best I have had in a long time and the wings were great. The service was excellent. Ambiance was a typical Mellow experience With TV's going and the kids. Love the vibe for a neighborhood pizza place. read more

Not good at all! I ordered half and half specialty pizza. The prankster and the steak house and neither side was good. I think we ate a total of four slices out of a large 8. My stomach was hurting most of the night! The rest went to trash. It takes some doing to make pizza inedible. We won't be back! read more

Came here at last minute because our first choice had too long of a wait. Food was good! I had the great white and added grilled ribeye. Next time I can leave them off because I don't feel like it was worth the up charge. Got a free pretzel bite from yelp and this was my favorite part of the meal! Came with queso. Everyone had a variety of things including wings, pizza, salad and burger. Everyone was pretty pleased. The drinks could have been better but they weren't bad. I plan to return! Nice family place and the service was good. read more

Had not been to Mellow Mushroom in years. IT WAS SOOOOOOOO GOOOOD!!!!! We had a 10pcs. wings. We asked for them to be naked(without and sauce). Then we asked for a few of their sauces(Sweet Thia Chili, Sweet Honey Hot Sauce and Jerk). They were ALL delicious and the wings were baked! Oh yeah! We also had pizza. It was good too! read more

The waitstaff was wonderful very attuned to what we wanted. It seems someone has changed the pizzas. The dough just was not good. There was hardly any cheese on our pizza. We had te same pizza previously and there was plenty of cheese. There was some sort of game thing at the front of the restaurant that made quite a racket. Finally, like most restaurants nowadays te music was loud making conversation very hard. read more

Ordered a medium holy shiitake and added italian sausage and regular caesar salad online to pickup. Arrived to the restaurant a little before it said it would be ready. Food came shortly. It was a Friday night and they were really busy with lots of people eating inside and getting to go orders ready. They have an area with extra to go boxes, paper plates, napkins, silverware, parmesan cheese, and pepper flakes ready for you to grab yourself on your way out. The pizza was delicious, could've used more italian sausage that we paid to add on. The sauce and crust was perfect. The caesar salad has huge french bread like croutons that make the salad taste unique but still like a classic caesar salad. Very thirsty after the meal. Would recommend this place! read more

The food never fails to impress. The overall feel of the place is great. The service is the best of all, I asked for a cherry coke, they said they didn't have it, apoligized, and then made their own cherry coke just for me with cherry juice. read more

Love this place. Not one of the prettier locations, however their food is great. They always seem under staffed so you will wait a while for food. The salads are phenomenal, the enlightened spinach salad is my favorite. So many vegetarian pizzas. Love it. read more

We come here pretty often and the food is great! No complaints there! It's the consistent understaffing here that breaks my heart. There's a few really awesome employees. Like the bartender at night! She's usually by herself and really attentive. The kitchen messed up her order for us which she brought the food back to them. Simple mistake, but you can literally see the kitchen staff poking of some of the customers through the window. Like mocking the customers. It can be ignored, but my order was completely wrong. And it was ordered by our bartender correctly! My peach bonfire mezcal cocktail was amazing! read more

Excellent evening! The servers were very fun and the food was fantastic! Thank you for a great meal.

This location offers gluten free brownies that are pre-packaged on their site and menu. I have ordered and received them correctly before. The last couple of times I threw them away because look at the pictures. Does this look safe to you? How is anyone supposed to know this is actually gluten free when it looks like a store bought brownie wrapped loosely in cellophane. I called about my concerns and annoyed having wasted money twice. The woman I spoke with could care less and kept talking over me and actually admitted to being the one who packed them that way but could not confirm or tell me where it came from. This is absolutely unacceptable and could get someone killed. Do not eat the gluten free brownies unless they are pre-packaged as advertised! read more

I've been here many times with various party sizes, dine in and take out and I have almost never had a trip where something didn't go wrong. The food is always late and sometimes we just don't get our full order. The food tastes good, it might take an hour to get though. read more

Let me start by saying I was greeted by a wonderful young lady along with my server I ordered a cheeseburger it looked wonderful looks can be deceiving the burger tasted horrible the beef was slimy and tasted expired or something it was totally off the onions was also slimy I didn't finish the burger I let my partner taste it to see if it was just me but absolutely not it was just bad I didn't notify my server because it was nothing dealing with her she was wonderful it has to be the kitchen not making sure the toppings are good on top of all that we got a pizza and a cheese burger plus the drink it was almost $60 I wish I knew the food wasn't good before spending that money they need to work on that asap before a guest get sick. :( read more

Been a patron of this location for many years. Pizza has always been great, Not ordered this time but I recommend the House Special pizza and for an app their Bruschetta is excellent. Now on a diet of sorts, I was with friends & ordered the Regular sized Caesar salad. While it made me whimper watching my friends eat pizza, this salad was excellent and very fairly priced for the good sized portion. Again dieting I only ordered unsweetened tea, should I compliment the generic Splenda? It was perfectly good splendaesque sweetener... My wife, not in attendance this trip loves their Moscow Mule. My crew said the pizza was great as usual... gee thanks for telling me guys. Restroom was clean as was the entire restaurant. Cute, typical Mellow Mushroom decor. Oh & the music was heavy on the 70's this trip, my era, so I could "name that tune". read more

Awesome love this place for years. Always good and on time. Their loves the GF prions

I don't like to leave bad reviews unless I really believe it's important to say something about the experience. This Mellow Mushroom has some fundamental issues with its kitchen. Where we sat, I had direct line of sight into the kitchen and I watched a worker with no gloves handles peoples food after rubbing his nose, coughing, putting items in his mouth, wiping his hands on his clothing, and other disgusting things that should not happen in any kitchen. He moved around either with an abundance of arrogance or sheer unawareness. Either way he should not be in anyone's kitchen handling people's food. Make him a busboy or something!!! After mentioning this to the manager, it seemed like other workers were well aware of his behavior because they came up to our table and thanked me for saying something. He obviously had a reputation. Now, why would a manager allow this person to continue to work in his kitchen when he obviously has cleanliness issues??? Disgusting!!! Poor training, poor management and accountability. I'm sorry but this is negligent and unacceptable. I won't be eating here again. read more

Hadn't been to this Mellow Mushroom in awhile and was looking forward to a takeout order of a Cosmic Karma pizza. Sadly we were disappointed. The crust was very soggy. It seemed like they'd at least doubled the amount of sauce, making the whole thing soupy and hard to eat. My wife said she'd rather have gotten pizza from Little Caesars because at least their bad pizza is cheap. read more

I use to love this place. But overtime the service has deteriorated. Especially if you sit at the bar. The last time I went there it wasn't busy. I was with my wife. She loves pizza. We sat at the bar. The young bartender I think her name is "Frankie"... yea, she blatantly refused to serve us. I have no idea why. Maybe she racist‍. It was soooooo weird. I gave her maybe 10-15 minutes but barely acknowledged us even though we saw her make other peoples drinks that came to sit at the bar after we did. I never been so embarrassed and I haven't been back. We left and went to Marlowe's Tavern and told them everything that happened at Mellow. We had the best time at Marlowe's. Anyhow, good luck. If you have to have Mellow Mushroom pizza, we recently went to the other location on Lavista Rd down by Emory. Much better vibe overall. read more

We had the best service at this location. The food is always fresh and super tasty. They give extremely large portions. They aren't stingy at all. Our server, Tim, was fantastic. He really gave us Top Tier premier service. The Holy Shiitake Pizza was legendary. It should win awards. And my Pacific Rim was amazing too. I will swap out my jalapeños for banana peppers instead next time. I loved The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh painting on the wall. It makes me so happy. The bathroom was a little gross, but honestly that speaks more to the customers cuz I didn't see trash piled up on anything like that. Great place for kids, parents and date night. I'll definitely be back! read more

My previous review was 2 stars I went back today and got a build your own pizza with mushrooms and bacon... don't judge lol... my daughter picked the toppings. I specified fluffy crust and stated that I did not want my crust to be hard... this time around my crust was exactly what I ordered. My only concern would be whether I would get the same pizza without the gift certificate that I received. The young lady that took my order asked how I received it, which I advised of my yelp review. But my pizza was great!! read more

First stop was the rest room. I couldnt find it. Its located in the cool wall painting. I like that they have the foot opener so you don't have to touch the doors. I sat at the bar and waited for my to go order. It was a 35 minute wait so make sure you call ahead for take out. As i sat at the bar, I saw other customers food around me. Everything looked and smelled good. Someone next to me had the steak and cheese hoogie...I wanted to take a pic but that would have been rude. It looked amazing! I ordered pizza and that hoogie had me re-evaluating my order. Lol As i waited, I looked at the menu and thought about all the other items I'd get next time. I think they forgot about me. When i got my pizza it didnt seem hot, like it just came out the oven. I was too tired to say anything. I cant imagine dining in and waiting 35+ minutes for pizza, especially when it wasnt really busy. read more

I have lived in this area for a while & I did not know this Mellow Mushroom existed. It's located on the opposite end of the Best Buy. Plenty of parking as it is located in a shopping plaza. I was in the mood for pizza & I seen the sign as I was driving by. You can never go wrong with pizza. My favorite is the House special. It's your typical supreme pizza at any other restaurant. I had an awesome mule. It was one of there specials that day. It was called something dude. It had me feeling nice & warm on a cold December night. The wait staff was awesome. But the kitchen was very delayed. Disappointed a manager didn't come out to speak to none of us about the issue but the servers were nice and apologetic. Every party in the area I was seated in had a long wait time for their food. I would still go back because baby I love pizza!!! read more

Best "make your own" pizza for many many years it's my go to place. If I'm going to go off my diet for a pizza it will only be for the best which is Mellow Mushroom. They have ingredients that most pizza places don't have. It's topical ambiance. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Been to Mellow Mushroom in other cities and food is consistent. Some are more people and boisterous clientele and some are more quiet and reserved atmosphere. read more

My son and I love Mellow Mushroom. Thankfully, we share a lot of these same food tastes. Mellow Mushroom came about in the 70s but didn't grab my attention until the 90s when they branched out to Snellville. One of my cross country teammates' dad owned the Snellville location, so we had a couple Cross Country parties there. Actually, his dad is a co-founder of the chain. With that said, we had a Sunday craving for Mellow. I found this location close to us. It sits off Lavista Rd, but more on Weems Rd. it's easy to spot if you look for the tall brick castle-like structure above its doors. It's located in the giant shopping center here on the back far right end. Parking is plentiful here! We got out of the car and I could seriously smell the pizza before we even came close to the doors. We opened the doors and I was delighted with the decor here. They have a Mellow statue to greet you on your left and then a really cool Silver Michael Jackson statue right after that. Lots of great seating options here! A bar to the right, with tables in the bar lounge and then booths off to the left, with a loooong bench and tables available too. There is also a patio that's screened in with high tops. TVs were all over. Unique to this location, and a theme to any Mellow you go to, is the music. This location serves up 70s hits. Every song was great! My other favorite Mellow Mushroom location in Sandy Springs plays 80s. You'll find each location typically has a certain decade of music attached to it. Our server, Jess, greeted us promptly and took great care of us. The only mess up we encountered happened to be an ideal mess up where our cinnamon pretzel appetizers came after the pizza (which we ate for dessert). The manager stopped by to apologize to us, as did our server, and I told them no problem! The fact he stopped by so fast after the error is another reason for my 5 stars. So, I ordered a lil Greek salad for my appetizer, along with a Terrapin Five-O from draft, a medium cheese pizza and the cinnamon pretzels. The salad was delicious and it's big enough to count as a meal alone (they load it up). The pretzels are my son's favorite and they come with a side of honey. I like them but feel like they could have used more cinnamon sugar on them. The pizza is why I come here. The crust is soooo good, and it honestly doesn't need much marinara. My son actually eats the crust here! Equally awesome, there is a FREE lil salad or Greek salad with your check in on yelp. I love the atmosphere and decor here, and service/management were spot on. I'm going to be coming back again for sure. My total bill for the medium pizza, beer, sprite, half order pretzels, tip and salad (comped with check in offer) was only $31. Highly recommend this location!!!! read more

When we arrived, we were seated right away. They had plenty of high chairs for the 2 year old with us which was great! The environment here reminded me of a cafeteria. Most tables were right on top of one another. The service was just okay as we had to ask for refills a number of times and had no silverware. We asked 2 different people for silverware and they said they were being washed. How are there no clean forks at 6pm on a Friday? Don't they have plastic utensils in the meantime? We ordered 2 appetizers: Pretzel bites and Spinach Dip. They were both quite tasty. We shared a Large Cosmic Karma Pizza which was pretty good as well. Luckily we had nothing but time, but for those in a rush to eat, might have a problem. I know a lot of people who love Mellow Mushroom but in my option this restaurant is just okay. read more

Food is amazing. Never have been disappointed in that arena. Customer service is typically very subpar. I've never seen the place busy so when I placed my normal togo order and saw it estimated an hour before ready I was surprised. Called in to see if that was accurate and was told they were very busy. Decided to go by 30 min before it was to be ready, found my pizza already boxed and sitting there when I arrived. Glad I didn't wait the full hour to pickup stone cold pizza. Also there were maybe 3 families there eating so not quite what I'd call busy even with one waiter working. read more
