It's overpriced just because of the location. Compare the menus for the different locations around Metro-Atlanta and you will see what I'm saying is fact. "I'm from the northern States, I'm trying to find a good pizza place." I say..Dry pizza- I asked for more sauce during the order; still was on the dry side. Waiter brought out a cup of extra sauce which made it better. The sausage was crumbled, which i don't care for. I would rather have chunks of the sausage. On top of that, the pizza was missing parmesan and / or the buttered crust for a golden look which was not mentioned for an option. Sorry, I won't go back. This is not my kind of pizza. This is the only Mellow Mushroom location I've been to, but I LOVE it. They have a great selection of pizza combos - my favorite so far is the red skin potato one! They sell soft pretzels which are SO GOOD. The environment is comfortable - it has a college town vibe, but it's also kid friendly. read more

Ours was a pick up order. One large house, 2 gluten free pizzas and the Meatball Trio appetizer. So disappointed, the crust on the regular large "House Pizza" was very brown and black in some places and tasted like cardboard. The bacon was under cooked and the meats generally tasteless. The gluten free was "ok" but again the meats tasteless. The meatball trio was the only good thing. I will not be eating Mellow Mushroom again. Should really be zero stars for me. read more

Every time I come here I am shocked by the incompetence of the hostesses. They are idiots! Having worked as both a hostess and waitress in the restaurant business for years I understand the challenges as well as the importance of accommodating the patrons. The hostess staff at this establishment never knows which tables are available, there's always confusion, and they seat people out of order. Recently, my family and I came in with our son and two newborn twins. We were told as soon as they could move two tables together we'd be sat. When two tables were open, the hostess proceeded to tell the two people who just walked in, they would be seated as soon as one of the tables were cleaned. I had to step in and ask why we would not be seated once that table was bussed since it could be combined with the table beside of it. The response I received was "those tables may be beside of one another but they are in two different sections." Really? Here I've stood for 15 minutes holding two car seats and you can't seat us at those tables because two different waiters have them? Uh...have you ever heard of having one of the servers give his or her a table in the other's section?? I had to get the manager involved in order to be seated!! This place sucks! I'm done with Mellow Mushroom. I can get better pizza elsewhere and not have to deal with laziness and ignorance. read more

The customer service is great, but the food is not that tasty to me. I didn't like the taste of the pizza dough and the meats on the pizza and calzones were salty. Also, the Maui Wowie pizza had this spicy dark sauce on it. I thought it was supposed to be like a Hawaiian pizza that was sweet, but it was not. The prices are a bit high for the quality of food. The pizza dough was a bit thin and made my pizza soggy and fall apart. Also the dough was a bit burnt. Plus, the waiting time for the pizza is just not worth it. I have been coming to this location since it opened and it has never once disappointed me, EVER! I am a huge pizza lover and appreciate fresh ingredients for the best flavors. You can taste the difference! It is a smaller restaurant and fills up quickly because everyone knows its delicious. Even if you are not in the mood for pizza, you can try their hoagies, salads, pretzels, wings etc. There is something for everyone. I have sat at the bar a couple times and the service doesn't get much better. The staff is attentive but not up in your face every 5 minutes. Behind the bar, the silverware, glasses, everything was very clean. It's refreshing to know that where you are eating has high expectations of cleanliness and upholds to them. I came here a few nights ago and was appalled at the lack of professionalism at this location. We sat near the bar area, where we could see part of the kitchen. I actually like that there's an open kitchen, it makes the space more inclusive, but in this case it made our experience suffer. Our server was very friendly and attentive, but at one point a kitchen employee was screaming and cursing loud enough for us to hear, yelling the F word and throwing things. I'm sure the whole restaurant could hear him. It was extremely disrupting and made our table very uncomfortable. No one came by and apologized, the screaming guy disappeared for a while, we thought maybe he got sent home. But then he was right back there back to making food. It makes a customer very uneasy seeing the people preparing the food so angry, as anyone's big fear is having their food messed with by an angry cook. Not to mention the profanity. There were children in the store, so it was just all around unprofessional and a bit ridiculous. I've worked in restaurants and if I were the manager of that store, that employee would have been sent home immediately. Despite the good food and friendly wait staff, unfortunately I will not be coming back. Get your employees to keep their outbursts in check, or they shouldn't have a job there. read more

Good food but couldn't believe how we were treated when asking to sit in a booth not by the door. I wouldnt have bothered with this comment had there not been 3 members of the wait staff giving us dirty looks. And we were told 2 people couldn't sit in the slightly larger booths and then halfway through our meal 2 parties of 2 people were sitting in both booths.
