So glad to see the quality and greatness of this place has not suffered due to pandemic issues. I recently came back to Augusta and the stuffed meatballs were a must as soon as I arrived. The were just as I remembered if not better. The place in VERY clean, the staff is always friendly and ready to help. I was able to try their pretzel bites by of their Yelp check-in offer and OMG. Now I can't pick which I love more the meatballs or the pretzel bites with their flavor packed beer cheese for dipping. If you need amazing pizza with a super chill vibe this is your spot. Plant based eaters beware!!!! Personally, eating pizza is a treat. It's not something that we eat all the time. There's nothing like having your mouth ready for pizza, then waiting longer than expected for a cold, raw veggie topped pizza with meat on it. This is our second time ordering from the Mello Mushroom in Evans. The order is always the same: (large) VEGAN VEG-OUT, No Onions, Artichoke Hearts, Caramelized Onions, Roasted Tomatoes, Crispy, No Butter No Parmesan. The 1st time we dined in, they gave us a pizza with non-vegan cheese. Since we dined in, we waited for another pizza. It was delicious and with the wait. This time we ordered online. We arrived to pick up the pizza only for them to not have our pizza ready. After waiting an additional 30 minutes for them to bring it out to the car. What we got was a cold pizza with hard ass toppings.. like they took an old cheese pizza, and tossed raw veggies on top. These veggies never felt any type heat from an oven...ANNNND it had chicken (not the plant based chik'n). No apology from the manager on duty. We've been to other Mellow Mushroom locations and the pizza is typically delicious, with amazing customer service no issues.. If you're ok with subpar (plant based) pizza options & a staff of kids playing around with the food then this is your spot. Otherwise, you're better off going across the street to Kroger and getting a frozen pizza from Wicked Kitchen. read more

Thanks to my Yelp check-in enabling a special offer, Mellow mushroom gave us free and tasty pretzel bites. Out of the Holy Shiitake mushroom, Pepperoni and vegetable pizza slices, I liked the most the vegetable option. All toppings were fresh. The Holy Shiitake mushroom pizza slice was too greasy and could use more mushrooms. I would not reorder it. At the end of the meal, our waitress brought without us asking one pizza box. There's two parts to this review and I'm not sure how to average them together. After the location in SLC closed I was happy to visit this one when visiting family in Georgia. They had the menu items that we've always loved so that was a major plus! We were able to sample two beers that we were torn about before making a decision which was super nice. (Unheard of in Utah!) we started with the pretzel bites with beer cheese (Yelp offer). I could drink that cheese if only it was socially acceptable to do so! We the ordered a half and half pizza. It's super nice that we're able to do that even though our base sauces are different. Half potato and half cosmic karma. I'd suggest getting light cheese on them because with the pesto drizzle and olive oil base/spicy ranch, things do get a bit greasy. The second part of this is that the tables being seated were close together. There wasn't much effort in spacing them out or blocking some out for spacing. It would have been nice with the times to have a little distance between my table and the one next to me. I've been to this location three times and now feel I can give an honest review. On all three occasions the pizzas were the usual mellow mushroom quality and very good. The funky q bbq chicken was my favorite. I'd stay away from the cookies though because they were hard and tasted old. The service however needs work. On the last two occasions there were four young ladies, that appeared to be high school age, working the front. Three of the four were more concerned with chatting with each other acted as if customers coming in were interrupting them. The fourth was friendly and was trying hard to help customers. I have no problem with young people working but they need to have some guidance, supervision, and training on customer service. It was obvious that these young ladies had not received any training or being supervised in any way. This is a failing on management and not the young ladies. Kudos to the fourth young lady who was trying hard. One final comment I have not specific to this location but about mellow mushroom in general. The online ordering system needs a major overhaul. The online ordering site is clunky and hard to navigate. If you want a good pizza and don't care about customer service then you should eat/order from here. read more

To harken back to one of the most popular words from the early 2000's, it's aight. Look folks, I'm from Illinois aka land of deep dish pizza so the standard is pretty high. As far as pizza goes, I've had it a couple of times and the crust doesn't impress me, a little greasy and lacks flavor. I've had the Greek salad and it's aight. I will say I appreciate that they offer two sizes for salads: small (correct portion) and large (portion for at least 3 people). My hubby swears by the buffalo chicken calzone and loves the beer selection. As far as service goes...average to slightly above average. I want to write more details but I'm so neutral about this place! I would return because it's an easy option for families and has a menu to appease most taste buds. Extra points for a clean bathroom! Clean bathroom = Clean kitchen Update: I like Mellow Mushroom, it's good pizza and you get a consistent experience. I really like the Great White and Kosmic Karma pies. This was my first time ordering from Mellow Mushrooms. We picked up the pizzas so I can't comment on the ambience or service. We got a large Holy Shiitake Pie which was my favorite. Overall flavor was spot on, the aioli swirl on top was a good flavor enhancer but I didn't detect the truffle oil. I love mushrooms so wished it had more mushroom topping but would definitely order this pie again. The crust was good - flavorful, just the right thickness, not soggy. The Veg Out and Mighty Meat were decent options too. They have an extensive menu which include burgers, sandwiches, calzones, salads, cocktails and they provide vegan as well as gluten free options. Pizza and beer is always a great combination and Mellow Mushroom brings you just that, but with colorful walls and paintings of mushrooms and the like all over the place. This place looks like it's a bit Alice in Wonderland meets pizza. Thankfully, there's both good pizza and beer within these walls. We did a half-half pizza of the House Special and the Magical Mystery Tour. Hands down, House Special wins in taste! This pizza is no joke! You can taste all the ingredients from the tomato sauce to all the delicious meats and veggies on this pizza. The crust was great-- a crisp bottom with a doughy top portion. The Magical Mystery Tour was good at first slice (I'm glad we were able to do half-half!) but really not as good as the former. This is a different pizza that's cheesier with a flavorful crust. The jalapenos give it a nice contrast of flavor, but I wish there were a bit more. A medium was well-enough for the two of us, since we also shared wings in a Thai sweet chili sauce (I'd skip the wings). I also got a beer-- their Monday Night Nitro Drafty Kilt was delicious and just the thing I needed to settle into my travels. Service was excellent and our waitress was super nice! Definitely a kid friendly restaurant with a lot to look at. Pretzel bites were a great appetizer to share but it wasn't pretzel dough. It does come with a decent cheese sauce. A medium pizza is good for 2 people. We ordered the pacific rim pizza. Mellow red sauce base with mozzarella, ham, bacon, caramelized onions, pineapple, and jalapeños. The caramelized onions & jalapeños didn't really add to the pizza & it could have used some more pineapple. The pizza did come out hot. The crust did not really have much flavor but if you need a kid friendly restaurant then head here. read more

We wanted to try a local pizza place, and MM did not disappoint! Their pizza is very yum, the dough was perfect for me it was semi soft inside and perfectly crispy on the outside without being cardboard hard. The sauce was full of flavor all the meat on top was baked to perfection and not one piece charred. All my life I have hated crusts and never one that ate the crust no matter where we went but this pizza was so good I had to eat every last bite crust and all! How does one begin to tell about the most amazing dinner of ones life? The evening began with an incredible group of friends gathered at the mellowist of mushrooms. It ended with this dope picture of us with the mushroom guy. We didn't even have to pay to take a picture with him unlike the scam artists in NYC Times Square. I mean please explain to me how buzz lightyear is worth $20 to take a picture....anyways, the service was amazing for our larger group. I'd say this was an average visit compared to other locations. The service was quick and friendly but there were a couple of small things like dirty plates and random dirty areas on the table/seat. We had a lil Greek salad (yummy---thanks Yelp!), which was enough for us to split and a small half buffalo chicken half modified house pie. The house side of the pizza was pretty awesome with toppings that were piled high. Because I saw so many buffalo chicken pie pictures I wanted to give it a try for the other half...It may just be me but I didn't think it tasted all that great. Not sure but the chicken seemed pulled with little flavor (greatful for the buffalo sauce) and the ranch was not a good combo on the pie. Either way I am going to chalk it up to preference. First off, 20 dollar difference ordering 1 large pizza delivery online compared to calling it in and having to pick it up. They are less than 3 miles away. Ordered a large pizza delivery online and it was over $50, only 5 extra ingredients added to an $18.99 pizza. Called them up and asked how much the pizza would cost ...$33. HOWEVER...that was for pick up. They said they don't do delivery over the phone. Do they only do delivery online so they can charge a $2.99 delivery fee, a $4 something digital fee, then a $2.95 some other fee? To charge 20 bucks ON TOP of the 20% tip I put into the online service is ridiculous. I was a pizza delivery guy. That is freaking insane. read more

This was my first time coming to Mellow Mushroom in what seems like ages and it is definitely a lot better than I remember! Servers were sweet and helpful, the restaurant was clean and the decor and wall art was off the chain lol. Although they are know for their pizza, Mellow Mushroom does serve other things such as calzones, hoagies, burgers and more. Plus, military discount! We started off with the pesto aioli cheesy bread and spinach artichoke dip. Although the cheesy bread was good, the dip was to die for! It was one of the most incredible dips I have had at a restaurant. It just seemed to melt in my mouth with each and every bite I took. For entrees, we all had pizza! I ordered a small house special, basically a supreme. My husband had one called Pacific Rim which was something like a spicy Hawaiian pizza, our friends shared a buffalo ranch chicken pizza, and the kids all had a small cheese pizza. Our food can put in a timely manner and it had good flavor. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and we are ready for our next trip to Mellow Mushroom! read more
