Next thing I knew I was scheduling a second appointment to come back with my bridesmaids and father to get their opinion on the 2 dresses I had fallen in love with. (After going to so many shops, friends and family stopped wanting to hit the road with me, so the first time I put on my dress it was just me, my mom, and a couple sales associates). The boutique itself is small, but don't let that fool you they have the best selection. A variety of dress fits, colors, and styles - a little something for everyone. To get hem shortened, there was 2 months to wait, so don't delay, ladies. The seamstress Jessi seemed very nice and like she knew what she was doing. When I came back 2 months later, it hadn't been done because the chalk marks had worn off, which sucked. Jessi said she could get it done later in afternoon but woman you make appointment with said that wasn't possible and I had to come back a week. It was still a month before my wedding, but I would just tell women to give plenty of time in case of delays. When I did get it, it fit well and the price was right, so I'd still recommend if time isn't of the essence. Parking is super minimal and almost no street parking, so if possible, hand someone else be able to quickly pick you up so you don't walk several blocks carrying a dress. Right now they are appointment only and keep door locked, so again, early preparation is critical.

Her seamstress was amazing and the alterations were perfect. The store has a loft feeling, large windows that let in a lot of light and four racks of gowns that I had not seen anywhere else. Elsa also allowed me to take pictures of the gown, where other shop owners forbid it . That alone made me feel confident that she knows her business so well and puts her customers first . I went to Grace Loves Lace to go shopping for a wedding dress. They ask you to pick 5 designs you'd like to try on while booking so the person who is in charge of your appointment can have them ready when you arrive. Picking just 5 was a challenge! When my mom, 2 of my bridesmaids, and I arrived we were greeted by a young lady named Hannah. I was shocked to see we were the only people in the entire store! Hannah explained it's generally only one bride at a time. The entire place is decorated beautifully and we were immediately offered drinks (champagne, water, tea, etc.). As we sat down with Hannah she asked questions to get to know me better and get an understanding of what I was looking for. I explained that this was my very first time shopping for a wedding dress and so Hannah broke everything down and explained what our time together would look like. She set me up in a beautiful fitting area and let me begin trying dresses on. 2/5 fit me so well and my bridesmaids, mom and I all fell in love with them. Hannah let me try on the 2 we loved most again and we found some veils that would match them both. Hannah did not rush us at all and she really let me take my time trying on the dresses and veils until I made my decision to purchase one of the five gowns I tried on. I had no intention of buying a dress the very first time I went shopping but the gowns are so beautiful and such nice quality, I couldn't help it! They are so flattering and shockingly comfortable. Also, because Hannah was truly so wonderful to work with (kind, funny, relatable, oh so friendly!!) it felt good to buy a dress from her and the Grace loves Lace team and support their business. I ended up feeling bad that my future MIL missed out on our shopping experience and so Hannah once again went above and beyond and booked us an appointment for the following day just so my MIL could join us and see not JUST the wedding dress I bought, but the TWO dresses I loved, because Hannah really wanted to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I plan on taking my bridesmaids back there and having them try on some of their bridesmaids dress options because those are equally as beautiful and elegant as the wedding dresses are. Plus, they're designs that could be worn again and again, not just as a bridesmaids dress!
