Oscar and his worker were supposed to clean up the two large trees in my front yard and trim two bushes. I had him do work for me before so I trusted that he'd do a good job. I mistakenly paid him before really checking the work and later found that they missed several dead branches, including one obvious large one. There were also a few limbs growing into my neighbor's yard that they were also supposed to cut back. It's my fault for not catching this but when I texted Oscar to let him know I didn't think they had done all the work we discussed, he refused to come back. He wouldn't even come get the big dead limb that I ended up cutting down myself. I will never use him again and urge you not to use Oscar/Mejia Landscaping. read more

I got from Mejia Landscaping a while back and finally called about work on a rental property. I needed a dead tree cut down that died from the 2021 freeze. I called around 8 am and Oscar answered and was able to do the job that day! He cut the tree without leaving a large and they cleaned up afterward. I wasn't on the property for that job so after they were finished he stopped by my house for a check after showing me a picture of the job. He also fixes fences so the next day he came back with a crew and they finished replacing a fence on both sides of the house and a gate on one side. So both jobs were done right away and the prices were very reasonable. The crew worked hard and cleaned up after they left. I especially liked the hardware he put on the fence gate. Just had Mejia Landscaping trim some trees for us. Called on a Sunday thinking I would leave a message, Oscar answered the phone, totally unexpected. To further amaze me he said he would give me an estimate in about 1 hour. We recently had our trees trimmed by Oscar at Mejia Landscaping. They don't have a crew who can go way, way up in our huge old trees on ropes, but the four guys he brought did a lot more than I expected for 40% of what other companies estimated. I was really impressed and grateful! They are super nice and even came back to take more off one tree for me after I had paid, which they obviously didn't have to do. EXCELLENT AND IMPECCABLE PROFESSIONAL SERVICE !!!!! A 50-60 foot tree next to the back of our house split down the middle during the high wind last Friday morning, leaving a portion of it dangling over the edge of the roof and the other portion coming to rest in a nearby oak tree. I found a few people on Next Door recommended Mejia Landscaping so I called and spoke with Oscar who said he could come by after 5 that same day to give us a quote. After he inspected the tree and gave us a quote he said he and his crew could come at 8:30 the next morning to take it down. As his quote blew the other quotes we received out of the water, we asked him to do the job. Oscar and his crew showed up Saturday morning at exactly 8:30 and by 11:30 had taken down the tree without any damage to the roof or the nearby oak tree. They left to get lunch and empty their trailer and when they returned around 2:30 they loaded up the rest of the tree and cleaned the yard where you couldn't even tell any work had been done. Before they left I asked if they had time to trim a large tree in our front yard, which they did an awesome job of and they were done by 4 pm! To be honest, I cannot speak to the work of Mejia Landscaping. I am in need of a very large tree removal however, a group of 3 gentlemen were walking the neighborhood as I assume there was a crew working nearby. I was outside working when one of the gentlemen knocked on my door. He then turned to walk away but before leaving my property, decided to throw his empty POM plastic cup into the back of my truck parked in my driveway as if it was a public garbage can. There is now sticky juice and pomegranate seeds in the bed of my truck. Now, I know some will think this is petty however, I am in the customer service industry and I know that anyone walking around to promote a business is a representative of that business. I will definitely not be looking to this company for a quote if employees of this company feel that existing or potential customer's property is their personal trash can. We just worked with Oscar at Mejia Landscaping to remove two very large 30-50 year old ash trees that had died in last winter's freeze from our property. He was friendly, prompt and professional. He and his crew did an excellent job. The estimate was lower than any others we received by far, and the work was timely and professional. He came the same day to do the estimate, and the same week to remove the trees! Another tree company had us waiting 6 months out! The trees were difficult to remove as there were tall limbs over the house, but they were careful not to damage the roof or the house. They cut the stumps very low to the ground. They left the yard looking great using a leaf blower and rake to clean up small limbs, and were careful around the many plants we had growing around our back porch.
