Detail: We reviewed four companies in the Austin area for a fence extension and automated gate for security purposes. Absolute Fence & Gate were outstanding to work with: they came in cheaper than all other alternatives, were the most responsive with clear communication, and were very knowledgable about the options within our space. Amanda was extremely responsive and helped us scope out our initial ask to coordinate an onsite bid walk quickly and helped sort out billing. Travis helped develop our initial concept for a gate into an efficient, turn-key solution that would abide by local codes and fit within our budget. After clarifying our scope, the project was completed at a lightning pace. They staggered the required demo of our old fence until the day they'd be able to erect the fencing to minimize the amount of time our house was exposed to the street. The work crews were very professional and Travis and his team clearly explained the scope each day and progress updates. In addition, Cade and the gate operator crew were outstanding. They set up the motor and made sure all items were functional tested. They did a terrific job commissioning the equipment and explaining how to use it. The commissioning team also noted that our gate operator had a minor issue and contacted the manufacturer for a same-day under warranty solution. During the construction, Travis would check in with the teams and ensure quality work which resulted in zero punch items at final walk. We were looking to remove an old chain link fence (with lots of brush grown in & around) and replace with a double-sided, capped traditional fence with a few gates. I researched 20+ companies and reached out for bids to at least 10; some ghosting or never responding. ABF's request form gathered enough information that they could provide me a pretty accurate budget right off the bat before even coming on-site! I appreciated that they then sent someone out once I confirmed the tentative budget and we chatted more about details and firmed up the numbers and project design. He even measured our car to make sure our drive-in spot was the correct length! The PgM gave honest answers about which materials we should invest in vs. where we could save. The building team did a great job with solid craftsmanship. We even asked if they could help connect our neighbor's fence and we thought we would come out to see a few patched boards... but they connected the fence in the same style as ours with a cap etc. which looked really nice. Our neighbor even reached out to see if they could get their contact info to fix their fence! The PgM was on site every day to check-in with the crew and us and addressed any concerns quickly. Once the project was complete the PgM came back out to inspect the work, marking a few boards to replace that we didn't even see fault with - definitely an eye for attention to detail which we appreciated!

I won't use them again, they don't stand by their products and the install was terrible. They had to come back 6 times during the install because they didn't cement in the posts as agreed and they wobbled back and forth. They then tried to mask it with a little surface concrete to make it appear like it was done correctly but they literally poured 1/4" concrete on the dirt, so it didn't take much to figure that out. I took videos of the issues if anyone wanted to see the problems. Disgusted with the install, quality of product and follow up support. Don't trust them to install a quality chain link fence.

On the way home one month or so back, there was a PRT crew working in the neighborhood and it motivated me to reach out again. They quickly replied through Yelp once I sent them a message and the estimator was here in a couple of days for an estimate and to provide guidance. He was very helpful in making the decisions we choose. We pretty much revamped our entire landscape. New Sod, removal of old sod and installation of zero scape/natural flat stones/gravel. Replanted all the beds, reworked sprinkler system and a massive trim out of existing shrubs and the sort. Not inexpensive, however they were still less expensive then another service, who suggested such things as a French drain, which really didn't make sense and came in a couple grand higher. The crew were numerous and were on time, courteous and knocked out the project in only a few days. One slight slip was the sod was not available on the last day, so we skipped a day and had the job completed the day after. It still was in the time frame they informed us on to begin with and let us know the day before the sod was to be installed. The result of their hard work will be truly noticed when the new plantings take hold. We have been fortunate with having several days of rain and cool weather. A couple of weeks in the sod has taken hold and none of the plantings have died and are all perking up from the transplanting experience. We are very happy with the results and the ease of working with PRT from start to finish.

We absolutely love it! The crew were super polite and professional folks working through extreme heat over two days (super quick imo). They did a cool underground drainage features with our existing gutters that I'm excited to see workout when it rains next. They truly did a wonderful job and picked up after themselves and even hauled some leftover rotten decking we had for us. Super appreciated and can't wait to reach out to PRT in the future to help us with refreshing our flower beds. They do have a bit a wait but you receive quality results it's definitely worth it.
