The space is adorable, and as soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly and my appointment was confirmed. I was there for a gel pedicure, and even though I arrived 15 minutes early, she got me started right away -- no waiting! She offered me water, made sure I was comfortable, and was incredibly attentive throughout. But here's the part that really impressed me: I've had a splinter lodged in the side of my toe for what felt like forever -- through several pedicures at other places, no one ever took care of it. She noticed it, carefully removed it, and honestly, it felt like she worked a little miracle on my foot. I left feeling pampered, polished, and actually fixed -- not just painted over. To be fair the ladies who worked on my daughter and I weren't rude but you do feel rushed. The mani/pedi I received today was nothing special but not terrible either. My lady first grabbed the wrong color and if I hadn't noticed and corrected her she would have used it, she was also bit stingy on the nail polish; I had asked prior to choosing a glitter nail polish I liked was opaque and was told yes, but it wasn't. I had to ask for extra coats for both my mani and pedi. (I used the same color). Sadly even after the extra coats some small parts of my nails are still showing through. Luckily it's not noticeable unless you're looking closer, no one is going to do that, but for the price...‍ While some employees weren't particularly busy during the visit, they were mostly on their phones. It would have been nice if that time was used to clean up the unused areas which could elevate the overall atmosphere. At check out the lady was about to charge me 40 dollars over the amount it should have been. When I corrected her and the other employee who was standing there they just went "oh" and changed it to a smaller number. I'm pretty sure I was charged $5-10 dollars over the actual amount owed but since I don't have the receipt on me I can't verify atm. Not a terrible experience but definitely not great either. Once I arrived, however, the experience exceeded my expectations. The live piano player created a relaxing and unique atmosphere that I wasn't expecting and truly appreciated. When Nick asked me if I wanted to cut my toes down I initially said yes, but then I said actually no and he laughed and said something to the girl beside him and they both laughed. Other than that he was pretty patient and based off the other reviews it doesn't seem like that's the case for the majority. When I was checking out, the lady asked me how I would like to pay and I said card. I am standing there waiting for her to show me where to pay and she says "Ma'am?" and I continue to look at her because im not sure why she's saying ma'am. She says, "right here" impatiently and picks up card machine that's hiding all the way to the left as if I were suppose to know where it was. Nick calmly showed me where to pay. I paid, asked for a price list so that I can show you all. I know it can be embarrassing as they get very defensive when you ask what you're paying for. There is prices on the screen that tells you what you're paying for either and I feel like that's something each customer should know. I feel like they also should be informing customers that there is a price to take off the polish they already have before they do it. What would be better is if they provide customers with the price list when they come into the door. I have no idea how much their fill in cost. It's not on the list. I went on-line and made a same day appointment at S Nails. I had a wonderful gentleman who did my dipped nails for me. He did a very good job, I especially like how he shaped my nails. I also like the fact that the salon isn't super big therefore it isn't as noisy as some. It is also clean and everyone seems nice-both clients and staff.
