Went into the store yesterday to receive a Western Union payment. The young man at the courtesy desk told me there was no one there who could work the Western Union machine. I asked him to check with a manager. He went into the back office. Was there a couple minutes came out, said no one has the ability to work that machine today until tomorrow after three. I asked him why only one person in the store was train. He snapped back at me and said it's not about training. It's because only one person has the code. I called customer service while in the parking lot. I spoke to the mail manager who was very nice and said oh no Tish is in the back office up at the courtesy desk. She has the code. I'll connect you with her. Tish, who has an attitude or Trish. She still has an attitude, no matter what her name is snapped at me saying I don't have a code. No one here has a code the machine shut down the girl who has the code left to half hour ago. So then I called Myers customer service. They connected me with the branch manager, who told me then that the girl with the code called off that day, but assured me someone would be there at 8 o'clock to next morning. He was very nice very professional, but he was covering up for his employees. I did put a call in to Western Union with my complaint. They also stated that there should absolutely be someone in that store at all times with the code and able to work the machine and that they were going to look into it. It's not even about the machine. It's about the trickle down effect of lies. I have just started shopping at Myers a month or two ago and I will never step foot back in the store beans I was treated so poorly so rudely. read more

Came to this location because 13 Mile didn't have what we need (as usual). Five of the self serve registers were open and two cashiers had lanes open. The guy running the self serve only has that many open because that's all he can handle, according to him. It was cute that he laughed about it while shoppers were piling up not being able to use the self-serve registers. I'm not sure what is so difficult about him having to run all of the self-serve registers - will he have to walk back and forth a bit more? Punch a few more numbers? Service a handful more people? That would be awful. So, while this store has a better selection, their service isn't great. read more

Picking up some basic items for the week or the next few days at least. No directional arrows down the aisles here. Here to get basic essentials here. Oat milk for coffee and almond milk for our oatmeal and corn chips with the garden fresh salsa. Looked for some peroxide, since I have seen it in ages at any stores. Did you have plenty of toilet cleaning wipes though. I had no idea that there could be so many varieties of tumblers and drink containers. Lady Gaga Oreos, really? Had no idea they Oreos was working with celebs to make special edition cookies for them. The aisles would make you think it's either Easter or Valentine's or both, heavily laden with both. It's late and as such only 1 manned register. Slow very slow to exit. 2nd in line but customer in front of us with her M Perks coupons. Too much stuff for self-checkout. Antibacterial dispensers here and there throughout the store. read more

This location is the best ! Everything I want is here, the prices beat the competition, and the staff throughout the store is very helpful and knowledgeable. I own an EV and when I shop here, I can plug into the ChargePoint charges located here. The first hour of charging is free, and a low cost is charged for every hour after that. The store is well designed, easy to navigate and allows for a quich checkout ! I highly recommend this location. read more

Absolutely cannot stand this meijer the staff is unfriendly and incompetent except for a very small minority. Products are on the shelf with codes and prices but you only find out at the checkout counter that they cant sell it to you because its " not in our system " and item i have previously bought on multiple occasions. If you could go to any other Meijer i highly recommend any other location but this one. read more

Walked in to do my usual shopping and I tend to stay away from the fish area because it's always very upsetting. But of course out of curiosity I peeked over. I was slightly impressed because the front tower of tanks is usually so foggy brown you cannot see any fish unless they come right up to the glass. But this time 2/3 tanks were actually mostly clear. But then I made the mistake of walking to the "betta" section. Not even sure if you can call it that because they were all just thrown on the shelves with no tags. They were absolutely horrible. Worst I've ever seen anywhere I've been. Green algae, dirty brown water, two cups weren't even half full for these poor fish. I asked to speak with a manager from the animal section and the man they sent had originally had to get someone higher up. I work at a pet store in the area and also have been keeping fish for 8 years now and was willing to take the fish (because they are definitely going to die in their care) or even buy them at a discounted cost. The manager they sent over was very short and didn't seem to care much. He told me he would have someone clean it and that they do not discount fish at all. Then he said they would be able to take $5 off per fish and the fish were "probably like $20" but he couldn't check the price. They had 7 dying fish sitting there being neglected but oh well I guess? read more

There's Something About (This) Meijer The 12 Mile and Mound Meijer seems to be the favored Meijer on this side of town among all Yelpers, and Google reviewers. (I hope mentioning them doesn't get me shadow banned or something.) I'm no exception, though I'm hard pressed to say exactly WHY this location is better than any in Macomb or eastern Oakland county. There's a couple Meijer's I could make complaints about, but why is this spot better than any without any glaring flaws? This Meijer is nice and big and clean, and it's one of the newer ones around. But the 10 Mile and Schoenherr Meijer is even newer and that one is somehow dingy and depressing. But that's a topic for another review. I do most of my Meijering late at night, so I don't fight crowds and can't comment what this Meijer is like during the hustle and bustle of peak hours, but it's a breeze to get in and out of during night owl time. It's just a mile from I-696 and on 50mph Mound Rd. so it's easy to get to and from - or it was til I had to junk my truck. I really don't know what's so extra good about this Meijer - maybe there's some hallucinogen they put into the air ducts to make shoppers believe it's better when it's just a run of the mill Meijer. And really the only reason I can't give it 5 stars is a general distaste for big box stores and the companies they do business with. It's probably not the best for Mom and Pops and the workers for a lot of these companies but that 24/7 convenience, oh! I never get that nagging feeling of being a weirdo when I'm at this particular Meijer late at night either. There's just something about this Meijer. read more

This is the most conveniently located grocery store to my house, but I am now choosing to go out of my way to better stores. They are constantly rearranging the merchandise so you can never find anything, the quality of their produce is almost always bad (Walmart seems to have better produce than this store) and for a 24-hour store, they always seem to have empty shelves. I have shopped at night and early morning and the shelves are bare. They seem to prefer to restock around 11AM when the stores are packed with people. It is a shame because I was very happy when this location opened, but they have slowly pushed me towards their competition. read more

This Meijer is just like any other store... It definitely has the new feelings to it though. It was built a couple years back now. This store is super busy. I stopped in for some work supplies at 2pm in the afternoon on a Thursday and it was just packed. Hard to find a close spot, and had to dodge about 20 pedestarians. The one thing I do like about this store is the drive thru pharmacy, which is super convienant, but be prepared to wait a few, because there is ALWAYS someone waiting inline at the drive thru. Also this Meijer offers a Chase bank, a nail center, and has a gas station. This can definitely be the place to do one-stop shopping. Their grocery section is huge, you can definitely do some damage in there! They offer tons a prepared foods to take, and sushi which doesn't taste that bad! read more

I like this Meijer. It's always clean, stocked and has a friendly staff. Also, the cashiers are helpful and always want to make sure you found everything you're looking for. There is also a Subway in case you get hungry while you're shopping since it's best not to shop on an empty stomach. I've noticed a huge improvement on clothing sizes and sales. I've found quite a few bargains over the last few weeks. Don't forget to scan marked down items. You just might find a better bargain than expected. read more

Can't post a review with no stars? This place doesn't even deserve a star! This is the worst Meijer I have ever been to. Bottles returns were all full but one. Greeter helped me a bit not rather lose the greeter and get a another cashier. I will never return to this Meijer again. I recommend everyone to go to Kroger instead of this store. read more

I upgraded my rating for this Meijer location from a 3 to a 4 because the last three times we shopped there, my husband and I were lucky enough to have a really great sales associate, Aparacisio, D. (Not sure of the spelling) This sales associate is always a perfect gentleman to his customers. He always asks if we have coupons or bottle returns and if I buy wine he takes special care packaging it for me. He is a wonderful asset to this store and we love it when we end up at his register. Always kind, always friendly. He does a great job always packaging my "similar" items together. That makes my job easier when I get home and have to put every thing away. I hope his bosses know what an awesome employee he is. Now, if they could get fresher strawberries, I'd be very happy. read more

Chaotic. The women's bathroom was disgusting beyond measure. I could not bring myself to even attempt to use said restroom. The smell was atrocious (no, it wasn't from fecal matter), as if they hadn't cleaned it in weeks. If this is how they treat their bathroom hygiene, I could only imagine what their deli and fresh food sections are like. I'll drive out of my way to NOT use this meijer. SICK! read more

Just used the bathroom to wash my hands..... so I thought after getting the soap on my hands I found out that all the sinks are broken. Which seems to be on par with the fact that the bathroom is flooded and filthy! This made me notice the drinking fountains outside of the bathroom that seem to be plugged up with what looks like old coffee grounds or more likely chewing tobacco I think I'll buy my groceries somewhere a little more clean read more

During my most recent visit at the store I was looking for a particular holiday set of Essie nail polish, they had MULTIPLE signs showing where it should be however it was no where to be found. Had I not read the sign I would have thought it was something else. I went to ask the nearest sales associate if I could get some assistance and his response was "The person that works in that section called in today." Having worked in customers service for 10 years now I know that is never an appropriate answer. I had to ask him if he could get someone else to help me to which he responded "I guess I could call a manager." I waited five minutes only for no manager to ever provide me with any assistance. They're a big chain and it seems they just don't care about their customers so I guess I just won't be one anymore. It is unfortunate because they do have great prices and a good selection. read more

For me at least this is 'THE' Meijer Thrifty Acres, because it is, in fact, many acres of thriftiness. A newer building in an aging fleet, this store has enough room to actually move your cart around in and not be saying 'excuse me' every 12 feet. Full grocery, clothing and accessories, toys, sporting goods, hardware, pets.. if I left anything out, trust me, it's here somewhere. Staff has always been helpful and outgoing but not needy. I don't think i've ever come in here looking for something and them not having it, so that's as far back as I can remember. If you're debating on a Meijer to go to for your best experience, this is a great store. read more

My go-to store for grocery shopping.. Best prices around. Can be a bit a zoo, but every grocery / superstore around here is. Far better prices and quality of food than Kroger, so it's worth the extra few mile drive. I usually find a lot of items in their weekly sale ad that I regularly buy to be on sale. I'm here several times a month. Biggest bummer of late is that they raised the price of those addicting little Jeno's frozen pizzas... formerly $1 and now $1.25. But for my biggest complaint, that's not bad right? As for the parking, keep an eye out for the crazy drivers who frequent Meijer, as well as the huge community of geese who make their home in the back of the parking lot and will NOT move out of your way! read more

This Meijer is well stocked in the grocery and clean overall. They usually have what I am looking for and the cashiers are usually friendly. The cashier that helped me tonight though. Not nice or helpful at all.! When it was my turn she turned around and was checking her cell phone. ( This didn't irritate me, as I know it may be an emergency). I brought two pillows up to the checkout. I told her i changed my mind I didn't want the two pillows, just wanted one. I didn't want to just set it anywhere. So she threw, literally chucked , the pillow to the floor indicating her annoyance with me. (Hopefully no one ends up buying that one). Eeek , she was pissed. Next , I had a case of water on the bottom of my cart that I told her about as I couldn't lift it too many times so she handed me the scanner to scan for her. No big deal, I've done this before as a cashier at busy times. Next, I had a few medium sized items and asked for a large bag and she just stared blankly at me like I was asking for a trip to the moon. "Like no stupid lady I don't have a big bag" (exactly what her face was saying). She was not happy at work nor was she a good representation of Meijer. Maybe she got a message on her phone that pissed her off before she helped me. So she took it out on me ..? Yikes ... I hope she doesn't treat everyone this way. For now, Meijer is still better than Wal-Mart. That statement may not be true in several years. Between the fidgety scales on the self-checkouts, wrong prices marked, and lack of personnel for the fidgety self-checkout kiosks, they are working hard on degrading their status by cutting corners. read more

This used to be my absolute go-to for grocery shopping. But I've been really disappointed in the quality of the produce lately. Everything has been going bad really fast. And it's not just the heat as of late. Example: I bought two cucumbers, ate one right away, stored the other in the fridge, and one week later when I went to get it out, it had liquefied. Yes, liquifed. This is not the only variety of produce I've had problems with there. I decided to buy some cucumbers from a smaller local supermarket, and one week later the cucumber is still crunchy and firm. You can really save money at Meijer on some things, especially frozen foods, some dairy, and nonperishables, but I'll be buying my meats and produce elsewhere from now on. read more

Meijer on 12 mile and mound in Warren over all is great but their deli department where they slice the sandwich meat ,there is one person there that is very rude and cross contaminates the meat and her name is Samara. When I asked her why she put the meat that she dropped on the dirty counter into my bag she just looked at me and walked away.
