I stopped in here for a shopping bag full of items. Used my Aldi bag bought months ago for .10. They carry many items and more for the kitchen, outdoors for summer or inexpensive staple items for pantry. In my photos show items I buy such as Bakers Corner which is their brownie and cookie mixes. Easy to make and taste great compared to betty Crocker so save money. Their cereral is comparable also and tastes fine to try and save money for families with many children. Granola bars are semi dry. Wine bottles taste great for 4.99 This particular location in Eastpointe was fine with happy hard-working employees. it was pretty clean, not dirty or overloaded with supplies or boxes. it was pretty well stocked and 2 check out lanes open to accommodate a fast check out. if you're looking for a certain sale item in a location should be available. If an Aldi doesn't have it then you can always try another location, because they do rotate their inventory. I've had a Aldi location as an example on Hayes at 18 Mile Road not have something in stock but they were willing to call another location near or far to check for me. I discovered Aldi eons ago, but I used to poo poo it because of no national brands and the plain way they presented the products. OK, I was stupid. I have learned that sometimes the brand doesn't really matter..Pasta, for the most part is still pasta, and sometimes all you're paying for is their advertising budget. Who needs that? I have discovered Aldi is a place where a fin can go a long way. I love Mac and Cheese, you know the kind that comes in the box with the powdered cheese? I have perfected a recipe that makes it taste like the national brand only at 1/4 the cost. So now, as a result of making a sow's ear into a silk purse, I refuse to buy anything but Aldi's version of Mac and Cheese. Aldi is good if you need to eat and are low on funds. It also helps if you are creative in the kitchen and can make a dinner out of a few rag-tag items. I am right now studying ways to make ordinary Spam into palatable dishes, and I am learning from no one less than Sam Choy and his wonderful website. Only one of my friends knows who he is since she also happens to be Hawaiian, or at least from Hawaii. But I digress. I would give them 5 stars but that damned quarter cart trick really annoys me, and I do not like the idea of paying a dime for a plastic bag. 4.25 Starts A while ago I had a friend who was tight on money at the time who shopped at this weird place called Aldi's, I found out the prices he was paying and I tasted some of the stuff he bought and I couldn't believe it was so cheap and it tasted pretty good. Later I checked this place out and I was shocked at how cheap I could shop with no coupons required. Some things are actually name brands relabeled to their own name brand, some things are not so good quality but for the price you get more good hits than misses. The employees here are amazing. They are fast, well trained, efficient and super helpful and polite, never experienced better. They save money by using this this system where you either use the boxes lying around while you shop to carry your food or you purchase some cheap bags (still worth it) Also, you put a quarter in to get your cart and get your quarter back so that you bring your cart back. A neat efficient system. A German company, figures why they are so efficient. They also have (or had) a double money back guarantee and they honor it. I had to bring back some tuna fish that was not very good quality and they reimbursed me no prob double. Recently some cheese was moldy and they replaced it no prob, I didn't ask for the double back because I just wanted it replaced. The frozen fish is hit or miss, sometimes it sucks but I haven't gotten lucky anywhere with cheap frozen fish. Hello, my name is Bob and I'm a Aldiholic. Keep in mind that Aldis has mostly just your staples and a few surprises each time you go in. Firstly their German beer is fantastic and usually about $2.99 for a six. Tastes like Spaten. Secondly, read their labels most items are German imports and usually very high quality especially their sauerkraut. Third, they are basically Trader Joes as they are owned by the same family. Yes you pay a quarter for a cart but since you want your quarter back you kkep the cart out of the parking lot, I wish every store did this. This is your typical all be nothing too special they do have great prices on certain things. make sure you look for the stickers that are red that means the item is either on sale or on clearance. remember when you're shopping Aldies you have to pay a quarter to get your shopping cart and pay to get your bags bags are $0.10 for plastic. But I have to do is return your car back to get the quarter and bring reusable shopping bags if you're really cheap lol. read more

Works for me, true staff not the best or as friendly as they should be. But I go for the prices the corner stores and or gas stations will rip you off because they can. This location has the worse customer service I have witnessed in a grocery store in a long time. The cashier was a very unprofessional, rude, young black female who only said 3 words to me, "is that it?" And the amount I owed. No expressions not even a thank you have a nice day, nothing! I wish I had gotten her name. Also, they didn't have much stock of the items they had advertised in Sunday's paper. I went on the following day (Monday). I ended up driving to Ferndale location to get the items I wanted and received much better customer service there. read more

If you shop at Aldi's you know value. You're not shopping here because of the big Brands your shopping here because of the big values. The store is clean the people who work here are friendly and it is always well stocked. Yes you pay $0.25 to use a shopping cart and your $0.25 is refunded when you return the car. That means the carts don't wind up away from the store and banging into people's cars in the lot. I like the fact that all these carries a lot of specialty items during certain times of the year like Christmas new year's Thanksgiving and Easter. There's always a bargain if you need a special dish or if there's just some flavor of ice cream you love around Thanksgiving. You can depend on all these two always scout out the top trends and deliver them at the right price. I think aldi is the place all smart Shoppers start their monthly shopping for groceries. It's true you can save a lot of money at Aldi's. The prices are cheaper than the national food chains. It a little inconvenient having to bring your own bags or using boxes but, it is worth the savings. I have used the Aldi brand food items they are the same quality as the national brands. The employees are helpful and friendly, when I need help I never have a problem finding someone to assist me. I have never had to wait in a long line like I have with the national food chains.
