I really never used to shop at Meijer, but I had to switch my medication somewhere because my pharmacy closed. So I switched and service has been OK, it's not exceptional but it's OK. The store is always clean and never looks cluttered or looks like they're stocking as I'm shopping because they've obviously done it at night when no one's there! I wish Kroger would that! Anyhow, the only reason I didn't give them the fifth star is I'm really annoyed that they won't reopen their dressing rooms. As a woman we all understand usually that certain things don't look great on us or we're uncertain if we want to buy something without trying it on first. They've have a lot of sales on their clothes. It would appear that they'd sell a lot more if the dressing rooms would reopen. I understand it puts a lot of work on people, but Meijer really appears to be pretty organized so I think they could handle this challenge. Looking back when they started doing this it was 2020 of course. No one was allowed to use the dressing room for fear that it would be severely contaminated with Covid & we'd all die at Meijer trying on clothes. Looking back, you'd think they will want to fix this issue & allow us to try on cute tops or dresses, etc., etc. They probably would not have to open the men's dressing room because men don't really shop the way women do. But I would guarantee a big jump in sales if Meijer would consider doing this again. So please read this Meijer executives and know that we are very disappointed with this no dressing room policy! read more

That store is clean, the parking lot is clean. The carts are new and in great condition. The store has a fantastic produce, deli and meat dept. It's my favorite store. Dear Meijer, Your personal brand of "December Home" which is Christmas products leave something to be desired. You are letting your quality control slip big time. I bought several bags of your bows for presents that I have wrapped. We wrapped 2 weeks before Christmas. Number 1 your bows need a lip on the paper on the sticker so people can grab and peel. Making the cut even takes forever to get the paper off the sticker area on the underneath of the bow. IT took forever to get the paper backing off the bow‍. Number 2 your bows do not stick at all. I bought around 15 bags of bows and none of them stuck for more than a day. I had to use double sided tape to keep ur bows on the presents. Please fix these issues! I buy presents for 25 people in our immediate family. We have 9 children grown half are married with kids... that's a lot of presents! We have spent over $7,000.00 on Christmas this year. That's a lot of presents to wrap and put bows on. Please make mine and others lives easier at Christmas! Please make good products for us consumers! read more

I don't usually have a problem with Meijer in Springfield OH. Today I purchased an " 8 pc fried chicken sold hot" and had an issue. Someone didn't finish plucking the chicken prior to frying. I don't enjoy feathers when eating fried chicken. I will stay away from this product in future visits. read more

First time in 12 years I'm back home and getting the basics while waiting for the moving van. Cant sleep with the time change and I know what I need and Meijers is open at 6am Sunday. Upon arrival I am immediately asnd cheerfully greeted by a passing employee. Got what I needed and while waiting in line a checker offers to open another lane. Everyone had masks on at this early hour which was more than appreciated. Thanks for the great customer service and for b er ring there for me. Bravo! read more

Meijer is (in my humble opinion) the BEST grocery shopping option in Springfield. Cleaner, better stocked, MUCH better organized, more customer friendly, etc... I don't go here as often as I should, and every time I do chose to come here, I wonder why I bother with the other two (K &W) !! Prices see on par/better than the other choices in the area, and though I (not so secretly) might loooooong for some other, "trendier" local options (dare a girl to dream for a Trader Joe less than 30+ miles/minutes away...?!?) this is not a bad choice at all, in a limited choice locale.... Really, if it weren't for the (IMO) pesky M-Perks, along with no options for gas price discounts here locally, they'd get five stars for sure!! read more

I like Meijer. It's like a Target-y Wal Mart. Rarely busy, I can get just about any general purpose thing I need. I like the self checkout setup quite a bit. The scanners are user friendly for me. M perks is sweet and I have earned many discounts for buying stuff that I was going to get anyway. Sign up for that thing. Also worth noting this is a great spot for noticing the sunset and sighting rainbows for whatever reason. Pretty colors are pretty. This is where I get my groceries and stuff now. High standards, lower prices I agree with that statement. I mostly shop in Meijer for my grocery, shoes, and other desirable products. I buy clearance items. Their mperk and Meijer credit card are great to use. The store is fairly clean. Most of the staff are friendly and trained... I said most of them, not all. Oh well, not everyone is perfect. Only cons: some staff probably need more customer service training and some food are expired but still present to sell for the customers. read more

A step up from Walmart in terms of cleanliness and atmosphere. I usually pick up misc things for house, meds, hygeine, small electronics goodies like cables, adapters here. As I generally prefer Target locations, this place has an in store pharmacy, and I have my medications filled here. It just so happens they're on the GoodRx list of cheapest places in Springfield to fill the meds I'm on. They carry very basic things in the lines of housewares, home improvement, electronics and budget clothing. But like I said before, for what I use this place for, it is overall generally cleaner & fosters a better atmosphere than the Walmart that's close by. Lastly, the placement of products are easier to find what your looking for as well as keeping shelves well stocked. read more

My shopping experience at the Springfield OH store is consistently disappointing. It's the closest Meijer store for me but I've started driving to Columbus or Beavercreek where my experience is so much better. The Hilliard, Oh store is especially clean, comfortable temperature, well stocked even the sale items, friendly and helpful employees, and good speed of service at checkout. They also periodically announce their customer satisfaction score in real time. It's phenomenal. The Springfield Oh store lacks all these characteristics. There is usually only 2 regular checkouts open with 4-5 people in a line who have many items so the wait is very long. The speed of service is absolutely unacceptable. Self check is also a mess. Items don't scan or scan the wrong price. Waiting for assistance for this or alcohol approval is too long. I've spoke with the Customer Service desk employees who tell me they have cut employees and admit they don't have enough staff. I've even spoke with the Store Manager who seems disinterested or powerless to fix issues. These issues have been present for many years so they really can't blame it on COVID which I've also hear used as an excuse. Shoppers talk among themselves about these issues and are unhappy. I don't get it... why are Meijer employees not wearing face masks? I went this morning during senior shopping hour and the employees for the most part we're not wearing facemasks. Unbelievable! The young man in the deli and the woman in produce were offering the rest of us protection. Almost all of we seniors were being responsible but not Meijer employees. I try to be a positive person. However, the Meijer in Springfield has disappointed me on a fairly consistent basis. When Meijer switched from the old style checkout lanes to the new rotating - lazy susan - type checkout lanes, I stopped shopping there for awhile. I felt that it indicated a drop in service level from a store that charges exorbitant prices for nearly everything it sells. Ultimately, though, I returned. Next, they produced several u-scan lanes...nice when you want to quickly get in and out and have more than 12 items, admittedly. However, recently, after a late night shopping expedition, we found only the u-scan lanes open...again, something presented to us as a "convenience" is being used to save Meijer money - with no reduction in grocery prices. If I feel like bagging and scanning my own groceries, there are other stores at which I will receive a discount for same. At the very least, Meijer should post the hours when this will be happening. The u-scan attendant offered to scan in my groceries for me - but, given the other people that needed her assistance I didn't feel right having her scan in my large order while people waited for her help. When I spoke to a manager to offer my two cents, she was quite terse with me, and offered nothing - I would have been thrilled if she had simply told me she would pass my complaint on to someone. Allow me to note that, having been in this superstore for about 2 hours, I was exhausted - I am a diabetic and I believe my blood sugar wasn't right. What I really wanted to do was sit down and rest...instead I scanned in almost $300.00 in groceries. About 10% of the time, the scanner/lane malfunctioned and the attendant had to come assist us by punching in override codes and whatnot. It took forever. We were finally on our way out of the store and we found out the doors by our car were locked. We headed out the doors at the other end to find blizzard like conditions. Cold and tired and at our car we began to unload, when the attendant called to me that my payment had not processed. I went back to rectify the situation and was told that we would have to bring the entire order back in and re-ring it. That was the last thing I wanted to do - but I needed my groceries. My boys and I brought everything back in, with some assistance and it was re-rung (this time by staff) and we were on our way...an hour after asking about a full service aisle. All this is really annoying, especially when you couple it with things like their tendency to put non-sale items next to sale items on end caps...making it look like all items are on sale. I don't go to the grocery store to be tricked or put to work. Just because everyone needs groceries and individual items don't constitute a major purchase, the staff and management should not assume they don't have to provide service or sell their image. Especially not when two blocks south or north their are far better choices in grocers. read more

I love this store and their prices are buy far the best in town. It's much cleaner and nicer than all the Kroger's and Walmarts in town. I like to shop late at night and the staff there is really nice and helpful. I will always shop here and no other grocery store comes close. read more

I love to shop at Meijer. I grew up going to Meijer with my grandmother every Friday. The store is always clean, the employees are very personable, their sales are awesome and I love their MPerks program. I take advantage of the MPerks every chance I can - and we even use their pharmacy as well. You can't beat free antibiotics for kids! read more

had a very degrading experience tonight with the store asst manager "Michael C." He immediately questioned my honesty when i was trying to return floor mats without a receipt. The floor mats are less than two months old and i was extremely obvious, with the exception of the drivers side. he floor mas came apart, 70% of the backing crumbled which of course causes the entire floor mat to bunch up under my feet/ even the car pedals, veryyy dangerous, these should be recalled asap.The asst manager looked at mats and said "these look like theyve been used awhile" HONEST, i DO have receipt and they were purchased late feb, i just didnt have receipt w me and had even brought various items to service desk to purchase w my anticipated store credit. Im a very honest person and the passenger and two rear floor mats ARE still in brand new condition. The driver side has no stains or tears on surface, it is all underneath where the backing crumbled. Sooo belittling for Michael to spew out accusations that i had used them awhile. I even turned the passenger floor mat over in front of Michael (all the while i was videotaping Michaels aggravated behavior) and i barehanded w no sharp fingernails proceeded to easily tear backing on the passenger side floor mat. I asked him what reason does he have to assume these mats were used a while. he said theyve been through a winter and gotten wet. LMAO, no, for one i park in a garage and for two i 99% of time am wearing 5inch heels,,,how much wetness can be transferred to any surface w just a stilleto heel? Apparently he was having a bad moment and i became his target for anger release. So sad. I did NOT get a store credit, because i said the F word he said he would NOT be excepting any return from me. I have to produce a receipt first (i have it so whoop de do) but it was still on the edge of being slandered, at least me character was!!! Just one last thing, even if i did (which i did NOT) shouldnt car floor mats be able to withstand the effecs a lil wet weather may bring about? This was just wrong all together and i plan to take it several steps beyond Michaels asst manager position. First time ive ever had complain about any store, i used to shop every 2 weeks at Meijer for several hours 2-5am ish and always pend over 350$ Unless the store or district manager requires Michael to apologize to me, they have lost my business and may be facing a slander/ degradation of character in a public setting lawsuit..(fyi, i hand wrote on paper while still in presence of Michael that i had been recording Michael, just so he cant say he didnt know. Anddd i also asked three times if i bought a new set floor mats for him, would he utilize them and preferably with his wife as the primary car driver,,,you know, since here are no legit issues w the safety of these mats (sarcasm but i really wanted to purchase them for him as an opportunity for him to learn a valuable life lesson primarily about prejudging and false accusations/ assumptions.
