All the fabric got sold to one person. For all the people that I saw in line who were angry at them for selling it all, that is their job to make what they can for the people who hired them. It is not to please us. I've been to Estate Sales where an entire curio cabinet full of miniature clocks was sold to one person. I was hoping to get a couple of them. It happens!! They are the nicest people and fair pricing. Thanks for all the hard work you put in to these Sales. Let the negative comments roll off your backs. You all do a fantastic job!!!

I recently used Wade Estate to help clear out my parents' home. While the family who runs this…read morebusiness were very kind and personable, there were significant issues which, had I known about beforehand, would have caused me to go with another company. First, Ian toured the house and gave me a verbal quote for the "cleanout" after the sale. My family and I had already cleaned out much of the house, including all of the trash and personal items. This was definitely not like some of the packed houses I'm sure Ian has dealt with. When I got the final contract, the cleanout fee had increased significantly because I told him we would not be including my mom's gold jewelry in the sale. Ian tried repeatedly to get me to include it, and I kept telling him no. I agreed to the higher cleanout price, but in hindsight I realize this was classic "bait and switch." On the day of the sale, Ian already had two other sales being held simultaneously. Ian was never present at my parents' house at any point during our two day sale. It was clear to me that he was overbooked and not able to fully staff our sale. As an example, there were several items in the shed in the backyard that were never brought out or priced. Ian knew about the shed beforehand. I personally brought out some of the items on the first day of the sale and asked Ian's mom to price them. Also, there was only a tiny piece of tape indicating that the garage had items for sale. Most people never saw it. So, I took it upon myself to make a bigger sign and to sit in the garage so that people were aware of those items. Ian's mother actually tried to get me to leave, even going so far as to get Ian on the phone. She gave no other reason other than "some people get very upset seeing their loved ones' property being sold." I assured her multiple times that it actually was very comforting to me to see how much people were enjoying all the stuff. Eventually, Ian agreed to "let" me stay. (On my own parents' property!) On day 2 of the sale, two friends of Ian's came and bought multiple items in bulk. All of the books went to one very nice lady, and all of the furniture to another man. I have no way of knowing if they paid the stated price or got a "bulk deal." I am glad the things are gone, but it seemed suspicious. The house was fairly well cleaned out after the sale, but several items were left behind (items in dishwasher, items in garage, etc...) Messages I sent to Ian about these were not returned. In all, Ian and his family are personable and appear to be kind. They told me multiple times about their Christian faith. But it strikes me as not very "Christian" the way some of the sale was handled. Our family is dealing with significant grief and stress. Dad is going through the final stages of Alzheimer's disease. Thus, I was probably not as thorough as I normally would have been when setting up the contract terms with Ian. I'm sure this happens with a lot of the families Ian works with. In the end, we earned a "profit" of less than $400.00. This is from an estate that had many antiques, vintage costume jewelry, silver, Waterford crystal, quality furniture, etc. Did Wade Estate take advantage of us? I'll never know, but perhaps this review will help someone in the future to look further when searching for a company to help them in their own time of need.

Sequels Estate Sales solved a major problem for us, and they made it so easy and profitable we can…read morestill hardly believe it. The daunting task of completely emptying our home of more than 21 years of accumulated stuff had kept us from putting our home on the market for at least a year. Enter Tom and Penni Yanessa of Sequels Auctions who reassured us that the process could be relatively painless. All we had to do was identify and remove what we wanted to keep. They would do the rest -- sift through everything else, sort it, photograph it and list it for sale on their auction website. Considering the mountainous nature of what we left in that house, we were astounded at how well Tom and Penni were able to wade through it all and stage it for an effective auction. It WAS easy - for us, at least - and unbelievably lucrative. The final sale result hugely exceeded our expectations. We enthusiastically recommend Sequels Estate Sales if you need help turning stuff into money. Working with Tom and Penni was a complete pleasure.

Sadly, we lost our mother two years ago and our 96 year old step father recently passed away. We…read more were needing to prepare our childhood home to be sold. We called Holly because our mom used to enjoy going to tag sales. Holly came to the house and was very nice and explained the process. She even told us that if individual family members had things they wanted to sell they could bring them and just put their initials on those items so her team could track them separately. The two team member who set up the sale were terrific(Bridgette and Brandon). They did a great job organizing and pricing things and they were both extremely kind. Unfortunately, when we reviewed the sales after the two day tag sale we discovered that the tracking and descriptions were vague. We understand it can be difficult, but we should not have been promised things that would not be done. My siblings (Anne Grayson and Tom St . Pierre and I) called Holly to share our feedback. THIS INTERACTION is the main reason for the bad review. HOLLY became angry and said she has been doing this for 40 years and never has complaints (see the other bad reviews to know that is not the case). She yelled and said she did not want to ever hear from us again. We were her customers. In all of my years in customer service I have never seen a business owner treat a customer this poorly. We were not calling to ask for a refund... we were simply sharing feedback that most business owners would welcome from paying customers. Bridgette and Brandon were the bright spots in the process, and we would hire them to run any future tag sales, but WE CANNOT RECOMMEND TAG SALES BY HOLLY. She makes false promises to get the contract signed, but does not follow through and doesn't care about her customers.
