I was pleasantly surprised at the food served here. Soup, sandwiches, and Salads. Individual menus for sandwiches with multiple bread options, wraps, salads, serve your soup, pick out your desserts, and any chips that you would like. Each person gets their menu, which you turn in. They make your food hot and fresh. You pay after your sandwich is made, and you tell them all the side items you picked up throughout the dining area. after you get your freshly made sandwich, they have a full condiment bar to go put your own lettuce, tomato onion, pickles, peppers on your sandwich. The soups and the desserts in the sandwiches are made fresh in-house. After you've enjoyed a delicious meal, they've got a full grocery store with a creamery, a confectionery, a deli, and a meat counter.

I was driving across Ohio on back roads and happened to look for an Amish market and this place popped up so I thought I would check it out. On the outside it looks kind of big and sprawling. Like you think you were going in Walmart. They have some cool little artifacts and kitschy stuff outside. You walk in and they funnel you through this weird little alcove that has some refrigerators and food in it and I was thinking that was very weird. They also have some soft serve hard candy that you bag and weigh yourself. When you walk inside this is the gold mine of Bulk Foods. I love these places. I love Bulk Foods. I get so much crap that I don't need but I can't help myself. They also had a bakery and I think they were serving some hot food but I didn't try it. I did get two rolls of Amish butter and some almond cheese. They also had a bakery and everything looked pretty good. The store was very Full of stuff. Like it looked big on the outside but it was not big on the inside and the isles are small and there's a lot of people inside so it was almost a bit claustrophobic. There's people milling around in front of the hot food counter ordering their food and there's no way you could have a shopping cart in there so you have to hold one of those arm baskets which gets very heavy very quickly. The people that work there were fairly friendly and I don't even care about all those other things because this is a kick ass amish store and I love them.

This review is for their baked goods. They're usually available at the Huber Heights farmer's market on saturdays. Everything i've had was delicious. Their banana breads and zuccini breads are moist and dense. Their cherry pies are not too sweet. Their blackberry pies are also good, but if you don't want seeds, get something else. That's normal when you eat fresh blackberries!

I can't believe all that's in here, so much variety around every corner. You can shop to fill your pantry, fridge, freezer and get something freshly made to eat when you get home like hearty chicken noodle soup. It was so good. Look at this size of the pumpkins for sale, there're HUGE! This Amish store is jam packed with variety and friendly staff to help you.

So disappointed with the hot cross buns. Way too much frosting and no candied fruit in them, just raisins.

The customer service could use some work but its always worth a stop when I pass thru. Their mums are huge ... and price of those 1/4 the size. But I came for ham seasoning my mom needed. I found it and more. The guy checking you out as u leave is a character .

Steiners is an Amish (Mennonite?) deli and market owned by a local family. Some of the positives…read moreare available local meat (frozen) and eggs, locally baked pies and a variety of breads. Unfortunately you can't tell if the bread was baked yesterday or three days ago. There's a secret color code on the label and I asked the girl at the checkout what days each color meant and she said she didn't know. That's a problem when you're dealing with no-preservative items. Lots of jarred pickle and preserve products to tempt your taste buds and all from small regional producers. In summer there's a fair amount of farm produce but nowhere near what you'd find at a farmers market. They have lovely seasonal potted flowers and of course the sturdy, handmade, bank-breaking Amish outdoor furniture. They sell a lot of things like frozen vegetables, baking mixes, spices, candy (huge amounts of candy), chocolate melts, in small bags with their own label. Unfortunately this stuff seems to be bought from big wholesalers. I have seen giant Sysco and GFS trucks in the lot. They use a weird dating system on these bagged goods- just a number where 15 would be January 15 and 360 would be December 26; get it? But you have no way of knowing if that means this year. Or last year, ick. So it's a mixed bag here. Not everything is going to be local or GMO-free. Look carefully before you buy.
