Stopped in with some friends from out of town. Just needed a destination for things to do and so I decided to head towards yellow springs and ended up here to start. Did some shopping and this is a very nice place to get some fresh items. The place is very clean and neatly organized. Counter service was quick and the manually took care of everyone quickly. read more

This farm is a nice place to go and visit. They have very good produce such as apples. They sell local honey but and other products they get from other local farmers. They are on the pricey side but honestly, the value is there. Go check it out and enjoy. read more

Disappointed. We understood they had local, fresh picked peaches. After a long drive we found they have trucked in peaches from other states. We did not find them flavorful and only slightly better than grocery stores. So 3 stars instead of 5. Then need to make it clear that Peaches are not local but rather come from other states. read more

Love Pfeifer's! We visit Ohio for a couple of months every year (family is here) from California. A weekly trip to the market is always on the list. Very friendly people and fresh, wonderful produce. They have a great bread selection too - focaccia is amazing! Just picked up 13 ears of corn for our 4th cookout. read more

The farm market at Peifer Orchards is definitely worth a stop if you are in, or near, Yellow Springs. It was picture perfect on a fall day with all of the colorful gourds. The store is a mix of good smelling things (candles) and good tasting things (jams, pastries, fresh produce). I would love to go back to enjoy the actual orchards for seasonal pick-your-own berries, apples and pumpkins. read more

A beautiful spot just outside of Yellow Springs for all (most....) of your seasonal produce and "country style" goodies. I have put together a few "Made in Ohio" gift baskets, and this is a great place to find locally made treats, crafts, and more!! Limited hours, but definitely worth a visit, if you're in the area. Don't miss their apples in the fall... I even did a 5K through their orchard in the spring... HUGE!!!! read more

A wide selection of quality produce. Great pickling experience. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Apple. Cider. Slushees. They also have a great little market with pumpkins and apples and jams and stuff, but basically I stop here every year for apple butter and a slushee and I'm never disappointed. read more

I stopped by Peifer Orchards after a visit to the dairy in Yellow Springs. I think I prefer the orchards, it was far less crowded and had a wider selection. They have a nice variety of baked goods and the produce looked great! I definitely would have picked up some peaches if I weren't getting ready to leave on a business trip 3 days later. There is also a nice variety of gift items and canned produce from around the state and some from farther across the country. I got an intriguing lemon lavender cocktail mixer and picked up some vanilla jarred peaches. read more

When I was looking for Fall activities for us to do, I came across Peifer Orchards and knew this was being added to the to-do list. I grabbed my husband and our girls, dressed them in cute gingham dresses and on our way, we went to the orchard. Peifer Orchards is located in Yellow Springs, OH. There is plenty to do in Yellow Springs. What I loved about the orchard is when we arrived, it immediately gave us all the Fall and southern vibes. Pumpkins, a cute country store, gravel road, and an experience I will never forget. There is a long walk to the orchard but it was great family time walking and talking. It was hilarious to listen to our little ones talk about apples and what they thought the orchard would look like. We finally got to the end of two-lane gravel path, and there stands acres of apple trees. WOW! The girls and I were in awe. None of us had ever seen an orchard in real life and boy were we amazed. It was a field of green trees with the cutest apples hanging off of them. Some of them even looked like Christmas trees. This was such a picturesque backdrop! They have a few different apple varieties as well as apple colors. My kids enjoyed apple picking to the core! They immediately ran down the rows and started picking apples off the trees. We had our buckets and were ready to fill them with delicious, crisp apples. We all picked a few apples and tossed them in the buckets. The kids did more than their fair share of picking, but they enjoyed themselves and that's all that matters! I'm not sure that we were supposed to be eating the apples while picking, but my youngest, sweet Robyn, did not waste any time indulging. Let's just say she snagged the best apples for her afternoon snack. LOL! Once our buckets were full, which did not take long we headed back down the gravel road to head back. We could not leave without heading inside of the country store. They have food, plants, and all things Fall. We even tried their Apple Cider Slush which was amazing and bought some Amish baked goods! Needless to say, our time at Peifer Orchards was nothing short of amazing. The staff was also very nice and they had a food truck on site to purchase food from. Great idea! read more

I stopped here when I read there were cookies! We bought the oatmeal raisin. They were not cheap but they were delicious. They have a lot of other things like honey, jam, etc. Fun, quick stop. read more

Very picturesque orchard! Went a couple months ago in the beginning of October. They had tons of fall pumpkins and gourds. There were two apple varieties to choose from at the time that we went and both were great! Inside the store, there were homemade goods, like maple syrup and candles. The cider was my favorite thing I got though. The cider was crisp and delicious! read more

I visited Peifer Orchards for this first time this fall. I love orchards in the fall, and I was totally blown away with this awesome place. It's so beautiful, inside and out. There was such a wide variety of items to choose from. Wonderfully fresh fruits and vegetables, jams, other foods, gift items, and numerous types of unique gourds. I couldn't resist taking a ton of photos. What fun! I will definitely be returning next year! read more

Love Pfeifer Orchards. I always go there in the fall to buy apples. They have a great selection and you can find everything from apples, honey, jams, candies ov pumpkins and gourds. The staff is super nice. Overall it is a great place to shop if you wanting to buy local. The prices are more on the higher end but I guess that's what you pay for shopping local. read more

Stopped in here to check this place out. There's a bunch of cool things here, produce to buy, oils and a bunch of other stuff to purchase. Overall I think that the items there were overpriced. We were there for 5 minutes at the most and walked out. read more

We drove about 45 minutes to go apple picking to find out that they ONLY do the orchards on the weekends. Sadly their website doesn't reflect that and we had a car of unhappy children. Please update your website to reflect the hours for all activities. Don't advertise something that you only do on select days during the week. read more

Cute little market with jams, salsas, fresh fruit and vegetables. They have a few baked goods. I was looking for a pie, but they did not have any (at least they didn't have any when I was there). This is a fun market to stop on your way to Yellow Springs. read more

We stopped here several years ago and thought it was great. Went back today and it has changed a lot. The prices seem pretty steep. They have a large selection of products (fruit and vegetables, syrup, honey) which is nice but we remembered the dozens of crates filled with apples and were disappointed there were only about 6. Maybe it's because it's still early in the season and as more varieties ripen they'll have more crates filled with apples. Still, a nice farm stand to visit with very nice looking products. read more

Great produce selection, delicious apple cider slushee, and berry picking was a lovely way to get some vitamin D!

Not sure how long they've been open and how long they're open throughout the year but they're open now (officially July 11th)! As the name suggests, yes, they're an orchard where you can pick your own free-stone peaches, apples and pears, but their storefront barn sells a lot more in addition too. Let's dive in. Fresh, local produce, some even organic. Get there on a Saturday morning and the tomatoes will still be wet from the morning dew. Corn, peaches, squash, tomatoes, potatoes, blueberries, raspberries, cherries (berries available at the register), to name a few. Some grown by them, some by other local farmers. Great thing about this is if you can't make it to town for the early farmer's market, you can still get your produce here. It's great knowing there's another option, especially if you're driving in from Dayton, Springfield or even Columbus. They sell other local goods like candy, honey, jam, preserves and maple syrup. I don't think the pears and apples are ready yet for there weren't any available picked for sale. Neither was there any freshly made cider in their coolers. Apparently they have 25 varieties of apples available, when available. Definitely a fall destination! They also pride themselves in decorative and functional slate items, something I'm ignorant about. Handling the few pieces I did they felt and looked of quality. Some painted, some cut into "farm shapes." To hang on walls or serve as trivets. A great way to support local farmers and a place to look forward to this Fall! read more

My absolute favorite market. Beautiful fruits and veggies, local honeys and Ohio maple syrup, jams and jellies and lots of cute gift items. A regular stop for us from June through the holidays. Love this place and the people there! The best! read more

I always enjoy stopping here, especially in the fall! Their Apple cider, at $8/gal, is the absolute best you'll find! They do not pasteurize their cider, so you need to keep it chilled and drink it quickly (shouldn't be a problem!), but it blows away the store bought junk you'll find for half the price. Their produce prices always seem fair. They had fresh local green peppers for $0.89 each. I don't recall if they were organic, but they did look nice! My wife noticed that didn't have a trash can on-site and then complained when she spotted a sign that read something to the effect of "we don't want your outside trash." That's kind of snotty. Not surprisingly we noticed trash around the picnic tables on their grounds. Come on guys! Definitely worth the stop, especially if they're on your route! read more

If in Yellow Springs... This orchard was so cute and had so much variety! Jellies, honey, apples, peaches, peppers, tomatoes- you name it! Peifer had good produce and really good prices for local! I am always so happy when I come across an orchard selling local produce. Great great great. read more

Hubby and I took a visit here last Sunday. Its been almost a week and we have finally tasted everything we bought. We were very impressed by the jams, honey, apples, and candy. I was not super impressed with the apple chips (too chewy for my taste), but overall excellent products. Also do NOT skip the apple slushie or the apple cider. They are amazing! My one complaint is that this place does not have regular hours. I asked for hours and they were like, "Oh, about 5 some days, but 6 if we're busy or 4 if we run out of things." I highly suggest some hard hours.... read more
