Nothing really great going on here, but fairly reliable and much better pricing than Schnuck's. My regular grocery store.

Store review: This is so far the best location in Champaign…read moreto shop. I can only base it on one experience. The cashier was super friendly and accepting of valid coupons. Instead of scrutinizing at other stores she actually went ahead and scanned and if the computer accepted the coupon we were good. The store was well stocked and I could find everything that I needed. Pros: Friendly fast staff, accepts coupons Cons: Some items are expensive compared to the super stores Hidden deals: You can use one coupon per item Register rewards and walgreens points help add to the savings Sign up for the walgreens cards to get savings on purchases

I stopped in at this location with my girlfriend recently to have some photos printed. I've printed…read morephotos at other locations in the past, so I am familiar with their kiosks and the ordering process. Below is my experience with this location's poor customer service While chatting with my girlfriend, I sit down at the computer and plug my phone in using a cable in the drawer beneath the computer. I start the ordering process, continuing to chat with my girlfriend. At the very moment that I reach the "Connect your device" screen of the ordering process, I hear an associate rudely ask, "Y'all tryin' to print photos?" I was offended by the employee's tone in asking this question; she sounded annoyed and very impatient. I was also offended because the employee interrupted a conversation I was having with my girlfriend. I feel that would only have been an appropriate way to approach me had I been banging my phone against the computer screen and yelling, "LOAD MY PICTURES!" That was not the case... Anyways, I respond affirmatively to the associate's initial question, but adopt a tone of voice I hope will discourage any further interaction. The employee does not take my cue. Instead, in that same tone from before, I am told, "You gotta connect it to the computer!" Now very annoyed, I hold up my phone to demonstrate to her that it has already been connected and tell her that it is. She then raises her voice and responds with, "No it ain't!" She then walks up to the kiosk, yanks the drawer open, pulls out the other end of the cable I've already connected to my phone, mashes it into the USB port on the front of the computer, and stalks off in the opposite direction, sending a "Ya welcome" over her shoulder. Classy... Had she not so rudely inserted herself and kept us from proceeding with the order alone, my girlfriend and I would likely have solved that little problem within -oh, I don't know- 5 seconds? But, hey, why not behave like a condescending b****? Customer service is just your job. *Edit* To review: -Did not greet us -Did not politely offer assistance -When she did engage us at all, she was rude and condescending -Gave us unsolicited and unwelcome assistance

Not the best, not the worst location. Surprisingly, with a Meijer right across the street (which…read morewas there first as well), this Wal-Mart still thrives due to the sheer amount of products they carry and the lack of large stores for miles outside of Champaign-Urbana. The good thing about this store is definitely the selection -- you really don't need to go elsewhere to find nearly everything you need (although with Meijer's, Target, Best Buy, and a mall nearby -- nearly everything else is covered). Typically the store doesn't get super busy except on weekends, but it's not difficult to shop here in the evenings instead to avoid crowds. Cleanliness is alright and the arrangement of stock is alright as well. One thing that may surprise people is that the quality of groceries here is actually fairly good. Despite being known as a bargain store, the produce, meats, sauces, frozen items, etc. are of good quality. I would still go to County Market instead if given a choice, but you can get all your food here out of convenience.

Unfortunately, the negative reviews of the pharmacy are correct. I moved to Urbana a year ago,…read morehaving had good experiences at Walgreens all over the country for decades. This one was bad from the beginning, but I kept giving it more chances. Once, for example, I was told they were short-staffed, so I came back a month later, then two months later, and so on, but it looks like they either don't do much hiring or they have some insane turnover. The staff they did have tended to be kind and knowledgable, though, so a star for that. I have waited for four days for them to fill a routine, in-stock, no-street-value medication before I could pick it up. I have waited in line at the drive-up for half an hour. I have waited in line inside the pharmacy for twenty minutes. I have waited nine days to get a prescription they don't stock, because that's how long it took for them to get it transferred in, even though there are numerous Walgreens stores in Chambana and it's just a normal medication, nothing special. Today, however, I waited in line inside for 25 minutes before I got to the front to learn that they just didn't have my meds, the same ones they'd emailed me earlier today to say they had. Staff looked hard for them, but they just weren't there. I asked how this could happen, and the cashier said that when the bagged meds came in from the offsite location where they're filled, instead of scanning the barcodes on those bags into their system, they scan in barcodes from a list of what they're SUPPOSED to have. Well, that doesn't work, and it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. The cashier said he'd have the prescription filled in "ten or fifteen minutes. More like twenty." I'd already been at this store about three times longer than I'd planned. I asked him to call me when it was filled. It's been three hours with no call, not like I even expected one. The sugar on top was that early on, before my meds came up lost, I asked my cashier to change my twenty for two tens. He agreed with a smile. Then, after the meds were lost, he asked if I still wanted tens. I did, but he didn't have any in his drawer. I asked him to open the other drawer (the cashier station next to his, at which a customer had been standing for legit half an hour while the cashier did who-knows-what in the back), but he couldn't. I said I would wait for that cashier to come back, knowing it wouldn't happen but that my cashier might be more helpful if I was still standing there. Indeed, after about five minutes, he got someone else from the back to tell me that they "don't keep big bills" at the pharmacy. First, since when is a ten a big bill? Second, why not make sure the cashiers know that so that I didn't have to waste even more time hanging around? I've had it, and am transferring my prescriptions to Carle on Curtis instead. Yes, it's fifteen minutes further from where I live than this Walgreens, but it'll still save me time. Ridiculous. And yet. Update less than an hour later: Carle just told me that they couldn't cancel the Walgreens prescription because Walgreens said they already dispensed it! I now believe that they gave my meds to somebody else. Wow.

After tonight, we wanted to give five stars for the service David provided.
