I just had an unbelievably horrible experience at the CVS pharmacy on Neil and Green Street in Champaign, Illinois. No one smiles or greets you. And when I asked to speak to the manager of the pharmacy, the manager couldn't have been any more disrespectful. Once again, no smiles. You feel like you're disrupting their day. Their customer service and attention to their customers in the pharmacy is sorely lacking. I will have my prescriptions transferred to a different pharmacy and I will no longer step foot in that store or any CVS store. This includes getting my Covid and flu shots. Stephanie in the pharmacy was a huge help to me! I hate CVS in general but it's nice to know some of their employees care.

All CVS pharmacies are absolutely awful, and the Green Street store is no exception. They don't fill prescriptions on time or to the doctor's orders (for example, they're notorious for filling 30-day refills rather than 90-day as prescribed). They have major supply issues and do not provide any warning. This results in missed medication and being charged extra money (for the 30-day prescriptions), and they absolutely do not care about these issues. They also close in the middle of the day, which is absurd for a pharmacy. When you call, you CANNOT speak directly to anyone. Their messaging system will NOT accept voicemail when the pharmacy is closed. So it's like playing a game every month and it's nearly impossible to get anyone to care at all. Horrible service, lacking communication, often can't fill a prescription for over a week and do not get any notification. When I call and ask they are unconcerned, rude, Matter of fact like it is an expectation that it doesn't matter . Ridiculous. Store itself is filthy and lacks stock. read more

I have been coming here for years to get my prescriptions filled. Its always busy, so I understand that the pharmacist's aren't always in good moods, nor do I expect them to be. However, I just had a call with the rudest person on the phone. I called because I tried to refill a prescription via Carle, to which they responded that I already had refills ready at CVS. So I called CVS to see if I had any ready, to which the woman on the phone said, "You would receive a text if we had any ready for you" I explained the situation and she sighed and said, "Well tell me the prescription names, I can't help you if I don't have the names. We are not Carle, I cannot see what Carle says." So I read off the prescription names and she said, "Yes. We have those. They need to be filled. Don't go through Carle to fill them because we have them here." Multiple times I explained that I didn't know that and I apologized. She kept going on about what I should have done vs. what I did and it made me feel stupid. Then she said, "We have those prescriptions. Wow, they are very expensive" And I said, "Oh, really? Did they not go through insurance?" And she said, "You don't have insurance" to which I replied, "Yes.. I do. I have been coming here for years, everything always goes through insurance." Then she sighed again and asked if she could read off the ID number they have for my insurance to confirm.... and so then I confirmed that was my ID number. Then she told me the price it brought it to and I said, "That sounds about right" and then she said, "Good." and hung up on me. I understand having a hard day, I've been there. But the whole conversation left me feeling confused and upset. I just wanted to refill a prescription that I need. I wasn't short with her, I said "please" "thank you" and called her "mam" throughout the entire call. I just can't believe how I was treated. I will continue to go to this pharmacy because it's the one closest to me but I did want to say something about it. read more

The worst pharmacy out of the Champaign - Urbana area. I dropped a prescription I got from the emergency room at 6:30 and was told it would take an hour to fill. I left my phone number so they could call when it was ready. Unfortunately, my prescription wasn't ready before 10 PM, when they close. I've suffered from pain all day and was looking forward to some relief from my medication. If you need a prescription urgently, avoid this CVS. I'd also agree with the horrible customer service, it took 15 minutes to be acknowledged when I dropped off my prescription. I'm hoping my prescription will be ready first thing in the morning, but sadly I'm not counting on it with this pharmacy. Only good thing I have to say about the pharmacy is Stephanie S helped me and my friend a few days ago and she was the sweetest person. She really treated us well and made sure the urgent prescriptions were done by the same day! read more

I keep getting messages saying i cannot get a refill for 2 or 3 more months on prescriptions I need now. I call my doctors nurses upset only to be told CVS is wrong. 45 minutes wasted. Terrible and unfriendly staff. Ive been with them less than a month and im done. Rude and unorganized. read more

I got some pretty horrible customer service from a manager here. Told me to go to office depot instead of helping me look to see if they had anything I could use here first. After checking their products just in case I actually found what I was looking for. When I showed it to the manager he just shrugged and nodded and went back to what he was doing. read more

Very clean and bright store. Had milk options- gallon, half-gallon, etc., but just the liter of half and half (it was late and I needed it for my coffee in the morning). :) They have a nice size liquor area, Illini gear, holiday stuff, etc. It's 24 hours with a 24 hour pharmacy. ~~~~~~ Okay, I have decided that CVS is more expensive than Walgreens. read more

Can't speak for the bad pharm stories since I rarely have used it. But the front desk folks working here - sometimes at the wee hours of the morning - always have been incredibly nice to me. Oftentimes, they will just ask if I need help out of the blue. It's all self-check out in the front (unless you want a human to help you), so it's no fuss. Huge selection, clean and friendly. This is the third time in a row that they've had my prescription on backorder because they CONTINUE to not order enough. This pharmacy actually sucks, is so rude to the customers (they make you feel like you're dumb and wrong) but in reality, they're the ones who keep making mistakes and blaming it on the patient. I would highly suggest going somewhere else to get your prescriptions - they will most likely never been in stock. (this has happened with my birth control too). Out of all the terrible customer service experiences I've had throughout an extremely busy and hectic couple of years, this was the one that actually caused me to create a Yelp account and write a review. To make a long story short, CVS changed the brand of my medication and didn't tell me about it, thus giving me reason to complain. However, it was the pharmacy manager at this store and her extremely unprofessional, rude, defensive, arrogant behavior that has made me vow to never step foot in a CVS again. She glared, she flung her hands, she might as well have been blowing flames out her nose, and she wasn't even the one with a reason to be upset. I'm appalled that a business would hire someone who treats their customers with this kind of disrespect. This woman has no business being in a position that requires customer interaction of any kind, much less managing a pharmacy that caters to thousands of college students' individual health needs. I would strongly suggest not working with this pharmacy; if something goes wrong, they not only won't be there to help you out, they'll literally add insult to injury. I had a wonderful experience at the Target pharmacy later on. They might not have a drive thru, but they give a damn. Go there. read more

I go in all the time to buy random stuff and use the restroom while working. They close it at midnight till 6. Not sure, but I thought there was a low that if you had a business open to the public you have to have a restroom. read more

Morning crew, and afternoon crew have ALWAYS been amazing, though larger Mexican guy from night shift, sorry didn't bother to know his name are far but abusive and cruel, has attacked me verbally on several occasions. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years, and he has made me feel like dirt. Alas the nature of the late night beast. I understand but will not ever go during the evening. Went here to pick up a prescription that my doctor sent over and was treated INCREDIBLY rudely by the pharmacy staff. The doctor wrote in her prescription that it must be filled with the brand name only because when I went on generic I was nauseous for weeks. They tried to give me generic and when I refused to accept it I got passed around to three different people. I ended up speaking to one woman who snapped that they DO NOT carry the brand name and WILL NEVER carry the brand name, so I could send the script somewhere else or take the generic. To quote, she said, "We have way too many prescriptions and if we order for everyone who comes in here demanding brand name drugs we'd have no space, so you can take this somewhere else or get generic." I told her to send it back. Then, CVS filled the prescription automatically three more times and I had to call them each time to tell them to stop filling it because I was no longer a customer of their and would not be ever again. This used to be a 4-5 star place for me to get my refills, but now they have are pharmacists with a complete disregard to health privacy and customer service (they practically yelled my prescription so the whole store could hear and then talk amongst themselves about it WHILE THEY WERE STILL HELPING ME). read more

This CVS has the nastiest people working in the pharmacy department. I'm a senior citizen and i went there once to get a prescription filled. They have college kids waiting on the customers and they talk down to you like you're a nothing. When i asked the pharmacist a question they completely ignored me. I have had a number of very negative experiences involving their system not accepting coupons printed out by their machine (apparently the coupons were not mine but I picked them up by mistake at a self-checkout station when a previous customer left them, and their system can tell this, but if their machine can keep track of whose coupon is whose, why don't it just give me the discounts I'm eligible for without the need for me to keep track of annoying coupons!!!), a manager not giving me a discount for an item that was placed (by store personnel) in a location that led me to think it would be discounted until I went out of my way to show him where I found the item (and a number of other items of the same type were there), a self-checkout station not displaying discounts on items I should have received, but asking me to slide my card when it appears I'm about to pay full price for everything (I ended up cancelling the transaction, but afterward a manager showed me some register tape that came out of the machine saying that it was about to discount my items), and a revision of their debit card system which apparently makes it only possible to get cash back in one of 3 specific amounts ($10, $20, or $40) instead of having an open choice to pick an amount between $5 and $40 (the cashier was confused by it too and accidentally had my debit transaction go through for NO CASH BACK, which can cost me some money according to how my card operates!!!) that was my last straw. However, since then I have gone to pick up prescriptions (because it's such a drag to switch all the prescriptions ALONG WITH all the insurance information LOL!) and my last visit the lady seemed a lot more eager to please me with her service, so I added a star. read more
