Almost 2 years since my original review and I now go to Meijer less and less because it is still impossible to go without picking up at least one item that is expired.. and I am talking expired by 7+ days and sometimes 30+ days. Former employee from 2019 and frequent shopper at this location! Let me just say I LOVE this store! Employees are so welcoming and make it a wonderful environment to be in! The products are reasonably priced, the grocery section is always stocked with fresh produce! There is not a thing I dislike about this store! I came into the store checked out on register 13, and the young lady who checked me out was so very sweet and professional. He name tag said Ava C. As I looked the customer service desk I did see a manager I'm thinking just leaning against the counter. He was a rather large man and I also saw him when I came in and crossed over to get shampoo still standing there, After an hour I have also saw how nice the store looked. I used to own and run my own grocery store many years ago and I do believe managers should be out greeting customers and not just standing around. I've been to this Meijer many times since it opened, and it's always a good experience. Clean, organized, with good prices and selection. I prefer it to Walmart, and am glad it is handy in Marysville. Today I went for a few things, during the quarantine. They had clean carts up front, unlike some grocery stores. Employees and customers were generally trying to be safe. Checkout was self-serve only. Wide aisles, fully stocked, another good experience. And now there is a coffeeshop in the parking lot; I'm sure next time I will need caffeine. read more

I drive about 40 minutes to get to this store. Spend $350 to $450 a month here. It would be more if they were not out of much of what I'm after. Usually go around 2 pm often, there are stock people all over the place but things are not on the shelves or in the wrong spot. It's getting very old. Have to be careful to go to an older check out person because most of the young people can't be bothered to give me my $5.00 beer rebate receipt. Today there were men shopping with hoodies tied tightly around their heads and masks on. Not sure if they were gonna rob the place, leave something bad behind, or are just assholes trying to intimidate people. A woman who works in the optical store (seperate entity from Meijer) wrote my credit card info on a piece of paper and claimed she was going to ring it up the next day. I had to snatch the paper back. She was then willing to do it the right and honest way. Told the store manager. He was a nice guy but they are not part of the store. Found a much better and cheaper place to get glasses. I've had enough of this place. Can't say I'll never be back but I can say I won't be a regular after this. read more

Swung by for another late night shopping session for some items to use the following day. Great pricing as always. Mostly well stocked. One regular register and two self checkout machines open--the one we used barely had any bags left. Still, an overall mooth and prompt shopping experience here. read more

It was wonderful, there was a lady at self check out her name is Vicki I always look to see if she's there. She's so happy, polite, helpful when the lights come on. They have some young girls that just play on their phones and don't say hi, bye, did you find what you're looking for, nothing, you're lucky if they look at you. Right down the street from me during most days is most likely THE mosh magnificent Meijer in Central Ohio. Clean, doesn't smell funny yet, real friendly staff and the best deals on candy and/or snacks that will be found anywhere around. I eat very healthy as a rule .....so I can save room for candy and other wonderful things. This place rocks! Seriously the other day there stood a random metal shelf contraption in the middle of produce brimming forth with boxes and bags of Hostess items ....90% off!!! I got a box of twinkees for freaking .40 !!! Wtf!! Ding dongs, cupcakes, chocolate covered donuts and probably other stuff but I seeing fuzzy at this point. Not sure if I was seeing things or someone was f%%$ing with me these deals were so amazing!! This is just one instance of these random unreal deals on such items. In fact, I avoid one of the self checkout areas because they have a table there with crazy deals like this on candy, gum, cakes, nuts, etc etc. I can't help it I walk out of there sometimes and I feel like Augustus Goop! As a disclaimer most of the stuff I give away to people .....it feels like I am running a rescue for snacks! What made my visit for me was the old man that stands his ass in the front doors at the grocery side. I checked out a 10 pack of mini cokes and had a small basket, he proceeded to tell me I left something behind, which was the cart. He then began to argue me as I was trying to leave. I asked him wasn't it an employee's job to gather carts. He was so nasty and rude. That's the problem with having a "job" like he does. Nothing is expected of him and he now has become lazy and hates his position. Two other customers told him to calm down its just a cart. Time to retire.. read more

Since the opening of the new Meijer in Marysville, they have maintained cleanliness and friendliness. Also, they sell a caramel apple pie in the bakery that they bake fresh. It's pretty much an apple pie with a caramel frosting on it that is insanely good. Keep in mind, if you have children under 12, the bakery gives them free sugar cookies! So when you have the kiddos with you during your shopping trip, stop by the bakery and grab a free cookie...it'll keep them content for a couple minutes while you pick out some fresh produce! Meijer is one of my all time favorite "grocery stores". I love it! They always have amazing sales going on. The Marysville store is always clean and very organized. They have a nice clearance table located near the book section towards the back of the store. I bought a cute lunch box from that table for $2! Cant beat that. They have my favorite freezer meals "On Cor" brand which WalMart has stopped carrying. They always have a good book selection. I love their baby wipes. Also, they have like -almost- high end makeup brands and products. Love love love this store. read more

This store has an awesome produce section. It is always clean and staff is friendly. It has self checkouts and I never have any problems here. There are usually some good deals on clearance throughout the store. Overall, it's a good place to shop. read more

a wonderful store in a small town. walk in smells nice floors are clean carts are stacked neatly. the greeter actually greets ppl and asks questions of where ur going to show u in the right spot. produce is wonderful the freshest I've seen i make a separate trip just to get produce there. nice slow comtemporary music playing they have nice samples as well to try the newest things out. and always smelling the aroma of the rotisserie chickens does make u hungry. well maintained place to shop in a great small town. I'm glad this play is here in the area knowing when i move here its got everything u need at your fingertips read more

This Meijer store is very well organized. I arrived early on Saturday morning and every area was stocked. The only complaints I had were that the CAB stew beef package I bought from the meat department was poorly trimmed and had a lot of tough areas I had to cut off of the meat before being able to use it. (similar to the thick, inedible part along the edge of a strip steak). So a lot of it went into the trash. The other complaint is that self checkouts were the only registers open. There were 3 female employees just standing around talking to each other, watching me scan my groceries, not helping with anything such as when the roller belt got backed up with my grocery items or offering to help bag my groceries. I'm not sure why one of the 3 couldn't have opened a register or, at least, bagged for me. Last complaint, the small trash cans attached to the light poles in the parking lot are always overflowing. I was there at 6am and don't know why they weren't emptied. read more

Always clean. Always stocked. Employees are friendly and actually smile at me. I'll be shopping and will have people ask me if I need help or if I'm finding everything okay. And when I actually do need help there's plenty of employees to ask or they find me someone who can....... happily. I don't have to track someone down and I don't get scowled at. And the customer service at the bakery is amazing. They are so helpful and will stop what they're doing to see if i need any help with something. They are very accommodating. And again, they smile at me when they do it....... they're very helpful and they're happy. When I leave, I'm not irritated or grumpy because I felt like an inconvenient customer who got in the way or asked for assistance because I chose to shop in their store.
