I honestly love this thrift store. I don't think the prices are high at all and they're always having good deals. I've been to other thrift stores and honestly the prices are ridiculous. I've found stuff with tags still on them orignally for $30 and got it for $3. As a broke college student who loves fashion I actually would like to thank this place. I get treated with kindess and respect every time I go and always leave with a big bag full of clothes for less than $20. read more

Wow. It def lives up to its name "mega". I Love Thrift stores. Im a hardcore cheapskate. I was THRILLED to see this store actually sorts the rack by size!! Unheard of! Prices were great. Jeans were 2/3 bucks. And the items are clean & in good shape. Primarily clothes, sone shoes,quite a bit of jewelry in the cases, few household aisles. Not much furniture. It was a really good place and found so many good finds! The only thing that I didn't like was the employees. They were very rude! I was just my business and finding good clothes and then I heard this man in Spanish saying that I kept on "touching" things and that I didn't put it back where it belonged. First of all, I had gloves on. Second of all, I put the stuff back and I was not touching I was being careful. The store is extremely organized! It's organized by type of clothing as well as size with a great shoe selection. There are different deals everyday and the store is HUGE, so you have a great chance to find what you are looking for. I'm going to Mega Thrift Store again! read more

I have been coming to this store for a few years now, usually in the afternoon. Today, since I didn't work I decided to go and see what they had. I do have to say their stuff is awesome and their staff (IN THE EVENING ) is nice and super helpful. Especially a gentleman with glasses... but today was a whole other story!!!!!!! We we looking at the Christmas ornaments, one was dropped by accident and a man came over ( with a high and mighty attitude) to pick up something that was already on the floor. He didn't have the courtesy to say excuse me or anything. He picked up the item, didn't say a word, and walked away. A few seconds later a lady comes and says " if you break it you have to pay for it" I said I would be more than happy to pay for anything that we had broken, however, the bundle that had been dropped contained a very thick glass star that made a loud thud but did not break. I have no issue whatsoever paying for anything I or my daughter damaged; but first and foremost address the issue with courtesy don't assume you know what happened. Then, find out if anything was really broken. When I got to the cashiers ( whom was super sweet ) I told her that according to the lady we had broken something, to please let me know how much it was, what had been broken and how much was it. The lady said oh she didn't say anything so don't worry. I thanked her. Remember, that although your store is a thrift shop people still need to be treated with courtesy. Don't ever forget that the dollars the customers spend there helps to pay your salary. read more

People at the door are always friendly and greet you when you come in. One girl in particular don't know her name but is skinny and light brown hair is always rude and walking around with a really bad face. looks like she doesn't want to be there. drove 25 minutes away for store labeled "MEGA THRIFT STORE" assuming it would be a super big thrift shop with tons of clothes. i arrive there and check out about half the store and everything was extremely overpriced for being coined a "thrift store" and they were even asking 400 dollars for a single tee shirt. everything in store is the same price as retail designer store it's not even worth looking at cool items just to be hit with a huge price l at the end. found some super beat up Jordan 1's that had a nonpopular color way and they were asking 70 for them. i asked if I could work on prices and they said come back another day to speak to a manager. Terrible place and matter of fact so terrible I even had to leave a nasty review and I'm not one to throw people under the bus but seriously this store was so stupid they might as well burn all their clothes because nobody is going to spend that money on used and worn clothes. read more

RUDE and HORRIBLE to customers! After about an hour browsing the store, I was ready to check out. The cashier was instantly very rude to me l. I just figured maybe she was having an off day. So I just continued talking to her very kindly. She informed me that the price tag on the shirt was not the correct tag. As she is explaining this to me, she throws the t-shirt to the back out of my sight. I had told her very kindly that I would still like to purchase it when another exceptionally rude associate said that it would be available in 2-3 business days. EDIT: After going back to see if this was a common occurrence, (reading the other yelp reviews, It's sad to see that I was not the only one) I am happy to say that it really depends on who is the cashier at the time. The place has a lot of rad stuff! I get my T-shirts here and I always get asked where I buy my clothes. I go on the student day on Wednesdays. The prices are good for students and I get more for my money. The store is awesome and the employees are always helpful. I go at least 2-3 times a week. Let's just say, I wanted to wait a few hours before I left a review.. Out of an honest and kind individual that loves to thrift and visits thrift stores all over the I.E and L.A. County. I asked my daughter to go thrifting with me today.. By the way she does not like to thrift at all! So, as we are looking around this young lady decides to follow our every move.. which ok I can understand I'm sure there's a lot of thieves around that area.. I used to go to this thrift store when it was Uptown Thrift in Pomona. My step-son and I made a trip down the hill today to check it out in its new location. I was very impressed. They still have great prices and discounts for teachers and students. I walked into the store looking for a few dresses, I walked out with two dresses, a pair of sandals, a cute little penguin backpack, a combination of 8 shirts/tops/sweaters (2 for $1), two tees for my husband, and 2 summer night gowns. All of this for just under $22. Without my discount it would have been about $26. The minimum in the dressing room is 5, which is what it was it was when located in Pomona. Wow!!! Went into the this store hoping to find a good deal for my kids at my day care, just needed toys and props. But walked out after I was being followed by some thugs! I went to Mega Thrift store after searching for thrift stores in the area using Yelp. I have to say that I am amazed of how well organized and clean it was inside. This thrift store took over the space of what used to be an indoor swapmeet. The shelved merchandise are not thrown anywhere on the shelves like other thrift stores. They are gathered based on glasswares, dishes, etc. The books and stuffed animals were stocked nicely. The small bags of little toys were a little pricey. Everything had a place and it is not often you see that. What I especially liked was the fact that they had the clothing on racks based on sizes and not by colors which is a HUGE plus!! I don't particularly like finding a shirt that I really like and then finding out that it is not in my right size. The shirts/jackets/raincoats/vests/etc all had their own special rack and it was labeled. They even had racks dedicated for valences/drapes/blankets/sleeping bags,etc. The prices of the clothing varies but they weren't expensive. Most of the shirts were actually cheaper than at Goodwill. Some of the shirts even have more of a discount on them. So more savings!! Whoohoo!! Con: The only thing I would change about this place is having a mirror in the dressing rooms. It is a pain to have to change and then walk out of the dressing room to look at the mirror out where everyone else is shopping and can see what you are trying on. I hope this store plans to make a slight change. Overall, I like this place. They don't put out crappy stuff. It seems like they inspect what they have before putting it out there to sell which is a plus. Everything is organized and I plan to visit this place. Good selection of clothes/books/etc. By the way, books were buy one, get one free of the same value. Give this place a try! read more

Today was my first time there and I have to say I def Scored! They had 4 racks of clothes 2 for $1 and I got $20 worth of shirts all from that rack alone! They have 4 fitting rooms and you are limited to 5 items at a time which can get annoying if you trying on a bunch of stuff but it wasn't too busy so I was able to try on everything I had 5 items at a time. I did not like that you cannot take your purse in the fitting room! You have to leave it in your cart and they watch it or if you go with someone they can watch it for you but I suggest you take a wallet or a clutch when you coming here to shop. The store overall is clean, neat and full of awesome items :) It gets hot in there because they do not have A/C so if you going to be trying on clothes then I suggest you wear light clothing. Overall I loved this place and will def be going back especially on a Sat before noon because they have 25% off :) read more
