I contacted Mega Pros after having a leak coming through the flue pipe roof seal for my furnace during rain. I got in contact with John, who called me on his personal phone and gave me some options to diagnose the problem. He mentioned that he could get a couple guys on the roof with a hose to diagnose the leak, or if I was comfortable, I could get in the attic and snap some pictures to him from my phone. If I was able to diagnose the issue, I would be able to save labor from having two gentlemen out for the diagnostic. Later that night, I climbed up into the attic, and got lucky with a light rain, which showed the exact location of the leak. I sent the photos to John who knew what the issue was immediately. Even though his team was booked full with projects, he was able to get out to reseal the flue between jobs (and poor weather). I have not seen any additional moisture in the attic or on the ceiling drywall, so I believe all should be good. I have not had a chance, due to weather, to get on the roof to check out the new seal on the flue. Apparently the old seal was described as old, dry and peeling off, which will happen over time from being south facing on a roof for 15 years. John was very communicative, and I am appreciative of him helping guide me through ways to help reduce the cost of the repair. Other roofers were quoting $600+, while John fixed the issue for $200. Usually you cannot get anyone on the roof for less than $300 dollars. As usual feel free to shop around (I did), but if you communicate your situation, and what your expectations are, I believe John at Mega Pros will put his best effort forward to earn the business and make the customer happy. When my wife and I look into getting a remodel done on our bathroom, I will definitely give John the opportunity to bid for the business. Got contacted yesterday and the invoice is being sent. If anything isn't as expected, I will follow up on the review. I highly doubt that I will need to do so. read more

Just putting the finishing touches of window treatments in our new great kitchen and couldn't be happier with the outcome! We took out a wall between an unused, small family room and the kitchen. This also meant re-routing the furnace vents. (We needed to replace the furnace regardless so the timing was right.) We contacted Mega in January and chose them based on reviews and the fact that we believe in supporting local family businesses. This was a first-time experience for us. We learned a lot about this "relationship" that is formed with the Mega sales, engineer, crew and also other services (the design team at Shapes and HVAC). Jeremy (sales) was very professional and prompt with answers to our many questions. He and Don (engineer) helped us patiently to resolve challenges with our design along the way. If any company is striving to making the 100% mark in service it is Mega. Three months after completion I've noticed a nail pop or an ill fitting screw in a cabinet door and I call them and get immediate response. We hesitated to pay someone to coordinate everything for us but found early on that giving that responsibility to Mega was not a mistake. When a question came up about anything from electrical, paint, plumbing etc we had a go-to-guy and solutions were immediate. You don't get that when you, the homeowner, hold the clip board. There were many items to choose and purchase and they even guided me through all of that to make the best choices for us. That was very valuable and time saving for me. The crew was always respectful of our home, keeping it clean and staying on task to get it done as projected. They also interacted well with each other and that impressed me. I loved that they always showed up in clean trucks! I would hire them to do my next big job! read more

I've heard this Comapny on WGN radio for years, being an avid Lou listener, on top of a detailed homeowner I've always wanted the best. My first experience with MegaPros was right after I bought a bank owned home. And although I had a home inspection I had soon found out all the things that were wrong with it. I had used them for a full roof replacement the first time, amazingly clean, completed it in 1 day and left nothing behind. (Except for my nice new roof) My next project was my bathroom right before my daughter was born. We were way under a time crunch, not to mention some high emotions added into the mix. Once again they showed up, delivered excellent service and attention to detail. (Plus the guys are fun and friendly, which makes for the best experience. Especially if someone is in your home for over two weeks at a time.) The last project is just getting completed now, we had remodeled our upstairs. Which included the removal of a few walls, closets built, flooring completed, electrical, painting and insulation. Wow, even typing all that was a lot going through it all was even more. They help us move down to our main floor, making sure all the dust stayed on the second floor. Huge help here. They gave us an exact day by day schedule. Which we have friends that have gotten projects done and this was the first they heard of this. To boot they stuck to that schedule amazingly. The project was right on time once again and we have amazing results. We have used MegaPros for our large and small projects in our home. And every time they amaze us. This Guys truly care for our home and for our family. We love and cannot wait to have them out to our Home Again. Thanks for Everything Mega Guys. read more

My husband and I began our association with Mega in 2003 when we needed our windows and siding replaced. We got several estimates but something told us to go with them. They did a great job; were wonderful to work with; and were straight-forward in setting up the contract, the required work time and not needing payment until we were satisfied with their completion of the job. When we needed our basement finished, we called them first. They listened to what we wanted, offered great suggestions for an even better look, and gave us a beautiful lower level that our grandchildren use every week. There was no question when we were ready for a new roof, we called ONLY Mega. They even re-roofed our shed for no additional charge so that both roofs matched each other. Our latest Mega project was the tiling of our entryway and some handyman work in our bathroom. Working with Don and all the Mega crew is a joy. We know we can trust what they say will be done. Again when we are ready for our next project, we will call only Mega with confidence that they will do the best job. read more

We heard the commercials and decided to have them come out and give us a quote for our bathroom last year. From the very beginning we felt very comfortable with them. They gave us a day to day report of what was going to be done. Every day after they were done working, they would clean up so you didn't have to. The men who came out were professional, kind, friendly and the detail work was amazing. They turned our 1960's bathroom into a spa in our eyes. We decided this year to have them out again and redo our office and other bathroom. We can't say enough on how impressed we are. The little details they do shows us that they treat the customer's project like they would want their homes to be like. Every single worker that came in was polite and hardworking. The craftsmanship of Mega Pros is A++. We were so impressed with them that we are now looking into replacing windows with them. You know that you will get the best for your money with Mega Pros. read more

THIS IS THE BEST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH ON HOME PROJECTS. I HAVE USED SOME OTHERS AND WOULD NOW NOT GO WITH ANYONE ELSE. IF SOMEONE FINDS THEN OTHERWISE, THEN I WOULD SUGGEST THEY THEMSELVES WERE TRYING TO PULL SOMETHING OFF. I was so glad to have found Mega Pros. The other contractors I had used on my house were just awful. Talked a good story but could not do the work. Well, Mega came to my rescue back in 2005 and I have used them for many other projects. When I bought my condo they helped me redo it entirely - it was a fixer upper and they made it beautiful - from new floors, new woodwork, doors, and eventually all the windows, patio doors, and exterior doors. Their people can be trusted. They follow up on what they say, and overall, their prices are in line with the quality of their work. I would not use anyone else. read more

My family had used Mega for some window replacements and they did such a great job that I contacted them when I wanted a new deck, screen room and siding for my home. I entertained several proposals and decided on Mega because they cared about how the final project would look. They matched the existing pitch of my roof, blended the architecture and made the screen room look like an original part of the home. When they were constructing the room, they took care to always keep a clean worksite. I didn't have to worry about debris in my yard that my pets would be harmed by. When I would watch the carpenters work, they took pride in their work, almost as if they were working on their own home. I love the final project and spend the majority of my time in that screen room on nice days now. Thank you Mega for a great job! read more

This is the 3rd time we've used Mega. Previously they remodeled two bathrooms, and installed new windows and front door. Obviously, we like their work, professionalism, and ability to set a schedule and get the work done on time. This time we had them remodel our entire 1st floor: kitchen, dining room, living room, powder room, and new stairs going upstairs. They, first redesigned our kitchen, making it a galley kitchen, then we went four places and picked appliances, cabinets, flooring, backsplash, and paint. The remodeling included fixing the air flow upstairs and taking out the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The City where we live has now put them on their Preferred Vendor List. The place is beautiful, and the entire job was done on budget and on time. read more

We have used MegaPros for a number of projects at our home and have recommended them to many of our friends. Our reasons for continuing to call 847-658-8989 are: They are extremely timely, for example when they schedule an appointment, there is always a confirming call from their office, the MegaPro team members are always prompt and when it comes to doing the work, the craft persons were on time, performed flawlessly, are conscientious and as important neat and clean. At the end of the project there is a follow up to ensure customer satisfaction. Thus far MegaPros have remodeled our family room, replace windows, redone our siding and trim and updated our "farmer porch". And we are already contemplating the next project. MegaPros will be the first call we make. read more

If you need work done on your home (inside or out), use MEGAPROS. We have worked with MEGAPROS several times, on our previous and current homes. (From repairing leaks in the ceiling to replacing a 3 panel patio door on the 2nd floor of our townhouse.) From the initial call up to the completion of each project, MEGAPROS has been nothing but phenomenal. Every employee from the intake call, estimator, project manager to the job site crew are ALL courteous, professional and nice! Their work is meticulous - they protect the area being worked on and clean up after they're done. We couldn't even tell they were there. They are so trustworthy, I've always felt comfortable working in my office with the door closed while they are in our home. read more

Wow, was I surprised to read the one negative review I see here, because frankly, I would not trust anyone else in the Chicago area to do work on my home. Mega costs more than most, but for a good reason. They are great. They respond to emails, phone calls and even welcome me walking into the office with questions. They are willing to text photos of possibilities back and forth, price out various vendors, they always come when they say they will, they always clean up any mess, they are super flexible working around my schedule. Just as context, these folks replaced my roof, and windows, and replaced nearly every speck of my house: two new bathrooms floor to ceiling and kitchen. read more

We recently needed our kitchen renovated and decided to go with Mega after seeing and hearing great reviews from family. We worked with Don and his crew, they did a great job. The crew was very prompt, worked thoroughly including doing a good job cleaning at the end of the day. When I had questions I had access to Don either via phone or email and he was prompt to answer my questions or about getting back to me with answers. When the counter company cut our counter wrong Don was very helpful in getting the correct piece re-ordered Nd delivered ASAP. Besides the downside of living without use of a kitchen, we loved he work done!! Thank You Mega! read more

Three other home repair companies had been unable to identify the source of a leak in my living room ceiling that had been occurring for the past six months. I had been hearing the Mega Pros radio advertisements for months and decided to phone them. The Mega Pros receptionist Tristin courteously booked an appointment for me with Mike, who showed up on time, and not only correctly diagnosed the source of the leak, but also assessed and advised me on other structural repair issues in my home. These folks are top notch professionals, and I will always utilize Mega Pros and refer my acquaintances to them for quality home repair and renovation. read more

Just had a major reno of lower level family room with installation of stone gas fireplace, and complete full bath redo. Also had 2 new storm doors, and multiple new interior doors upgraded to solid wood, painted and installed. Project also included exterior siding replacement in problem area, with new insulation and cedar siding. Mega was on time, arrived as scheduled, with extremely professional carpenter, with a great work ethic. We were kept updated re: schedule and times Mega would be here. Personable supervisor with apparent desire to meet "customer satisfaction" goals. I would highly recommend Mega, any time. MO'D read more

My husband and I cannot praise Mega Pros enough. We had a variety of projects all of which they completed in a timely fashion with great craftsmanship. They listened to concerns and addressed each of them. When items that I purchased were delivered, if the items weren't in perfect condition (bedroom doors), they returned them and picked up new doors. Each person with whom we dealt was courteous and congenial, the workmen arrived when they said they would and put in a good day's work, and each day the site was cleaned. They prove the statement that "you get what you pay for." read more

We could not be more pleased with our new deck. Mega went far beyond our expectations. Jeremy came out for our initial appointment and gave us many great and money saving ideas. Lou led our crew and is an amazing craftsman. Don was available to us via phone or text on a daily basis to answer our questions and ensure our saisfaction . The whole experience had been phenomenal. Professional, courteous and meticulous. Very reasonable pricing with no hidden costs. I will definitely use Mega going forward and recommend them without hesitation. read more

From beginning to end everything went extremely well. Mega NEVER said no to anything that was brought up and was completely professional in all aspects of the work. The oak cabinets were installed to perfection and the countertops were as well. They even went so far as to get us a temporary sink counter to use while the install was going on to minimize inconvenience. All the guys from Jeremy to Don to Joe to Lou to Travis and Raul were wonderful to deal with and I would HIGHLY recommend Mega to anyone that REALLY wants the job done RIGHT! read more

I had mega out for the 2nd project. The 1st project they coordinated with perma seal for repairs and finishing of 1/2 of the basement. Everything was done professionally . Everyone was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. The 2nd project was the other half of the basement again, professionally done. They cleaned up after themselves so well you would not of even known they were there. Materials and workmanship outstanding. Neither job required final payment until we were completely satisfied. If you want quality get Mega Pros!!! read more

My new kitchen was completed today. Mega moved two windows higher; moved the back door to a new location which gave me more space on my deck; removed plaster walls and put insulation in my 120 year old home; moved a pantry and closet; installed 10 cabinets and installed an intricate backsplash. They did a fabulous job. They were here every day they were supposed to be; were respectful of my home; cleaned up after themselves daily and would clarify any concerns they had with me. I highly recommend them. read more
