Just now. I wanted pizza. Late night meal would've been great. I wanted a fresh pizza but they said they could reheat the slices they had there so that's what we got a little of each. 4 different kinds for $25. While I am waiting the woman taking our order and the man reheating the pizza decide to have a conversation within themselves and insult me and my boyfriend in Spanish about being the drunk. They failed to know that my bf and I speak and understand perfect Spanish even though we were speaking English. So we understood everything. Truth is we were tired and hungry and wanted some food so walked less than a quarter mile from the hotel we were staying at to receive horrible customer service and food. Small little pizza joint tucked away in what I would classify as more of an alley way, not directly on Collins. The pizza slices are by far the biggest I've ever seen. The pizza's NY style, but definitely not authentic NY pizza. You'll definitely need to fold those bad boys in half, which you'll still have trouble doing in order to eat them. Not much of a selection if you're getting pizza by the slice. They have your usual, pepperoni, cheese, sausage, veggie, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. They also deliver, which is nice. It's about $4 and some change for a slice, which is worth it for the size it is. Still can't beat $1.99 slices at Costco though! The pizza itself is pretty mediocre. Not terrible, not great. I've definitely had much better. However, if you're hungry and want something to fill the void, this is the place for you. There's seating inside and outside. They sell beer, wine and even have pineapple and mango Smirnoff ice for all those who take their drinking seriously. Definitely an eclectic mix of folks here, great people watching. read more

Walked into a completely empty "Mega Pizza" on Super Bowl Sunday 2018. I asked for a large veggie pizza. The woman at the register laughed and asked "A pizza? At this time?" It was 6:30pm. I'm an honest fan of dingy, non artisan, greasy pizza places. Exactly why I walked a few blocks further to go here. This pizza gave me the clap it was so bad. It's like the cheese is made out of wax and I couldn't even get it off the plate. It's like it needed to be sawed off. Went for some food after a few drinks nearby and stumbled upon this place looking for a quick fix to my hunger. The slices are pretty big and even if it doesn't look hot or fresh through the glass, they'll put it in the oven for a few minutes without a question. I had the supreme and a buffalo chicken. As others have said, instead of paying $5 for one slice, my friends and I bought a whole 18" pizza for around $28. The pizza was pretty average but the service was awful. I had the BBQ chicken pizza. It was okay, the dough was very hard and could not even cut with a knife. The service was well even though it was just one girl working (looks like a Russian model) I was a little disappointed with the place itself because it was pretty dirty and not much seating space. If you are looking for pizza to deliver this may be for you. To add on about the pizza, it is not made fresh. The pizza is already made and they heat it up for you. This may be why the crust was hard. This place has a good idea but needs better management to be a good place. It was too loud to talk with family here as well. Whenever I'm in South Beach I always stop at a pizzeria and grab a slice. Tonight I hit Mega Pizza. I've been before and have always been pleased. Not tonight. I walk in and order my slice and head to the restroom. There is a sign on the door that says out of order. Lots of South Beach businesses especially gas stations use this tactic to keep the homeless from using the restroom. I've seen it many times before but as a paying customer they always let me use it. When I asked the lady behind the counter about it she smugly said "it doesn't work." Then she even reiterated by saying "the sign says it doesn't work." I responded by asking her "what does the staff do when they have to go?" She said they go to the hotel up the street, which I highly doubt. At this point I realized it was pointless to continue to ask to use the restroom. After a few minutes my slice comes out and I ask for a cup of water. She says we don't have cups of water only bottled water and sodas, while pointing to the display case. I said "you can't give me a cup of water?" To which she responded "welcome to South Beach." Now I hope this is not the owner because she has a nasty attitude and has no business dealing with the public. Needless to say I will NEVER return to this pizzeria. read more
