So we had a house fire and are doing a major reconstruction. We have to purchase all new furniture for the house. We set out to Mega Furniture to see what was available. As we entered the store you could see the salespeople huddling waiting to be the first one to pounce. Not a great sight to see as a buyer, however, once we said we were just looking to see what was available they left us alone. Occasionally as we were walking around someone would ask if we needed help but for the most part they left us alone. This allowed my wife and I to look and discuss our needs and budget. The pricing was pretty good and we were convinced that when we were ready we were going to go back and make our purchases. read more

Mega Furniture offers a lot of similar style furniture pieces that you can find cheaper and of similar quality elsewhere, but they do offer some more unique pieces as well. The store itself has an odd and musty smell. My partner and I also saw a lot of stains on the carpet, and it overall left a very unclean impression of the store. Not only that, I have discovered 3 bug bites in a row on my arm, which may indicate they have bed bugs living in their show furniture. I'm hoping it's not bed bugs and that they did not hitch a ride home with me :( We were helped immediately as soon as we walked in because we were the only customers there on a weekend. What a huge contrast to how busy it was at the furniture store we stopped by before this one! We were told some helpful things, but after we were promised to be left alone to look around, we were approached a few more times again. It felt rather awkward. Overall, it's really hard for me to recommend Mega Furniture to anyone unless you have a very specific style you're looking for because they do have some furniture pieces that are not what's currently trending. I can at least respect a store that isn't afraid to carry more niche styles. read more

Maybe if I report on a regular basis mega furniture in Gilbert will respond to the inadequate couch that was sold to me with inadequate materials that caught on fire that I had to call the fire department to come put out. They still have not responded at all and took no responsibility even after I told them that I would pay a portion.. but who sells furniture that you cannot put a heating pad on without it bursting into flames. The heating pad did not catch on fire it was the cushions on the couch. Maybe I can get some report from them if I keep posting on Yelp since I have a notice from the Gilbert fire department that the materials were inadequate. Mega furniture this is Janice Myles if you do not remember who I am a 71yr old senior citizen whom you have traumatized me with this incident that happened with the purchase from your store. So incredibly frustrated and disappointed with the lack of communication and poor service at this location. My husband and I are expecting our first child at the end of the month. We ordered a swivel rocking chair for our nursery when I was six months pregnant. I am currently sitting here 2 weeks away from giving birth and we have YET to receive this chair! We have been patient. We have stopped by the store multiple times to check on shipment times, we have made several calls. We have always been pleasant and understanding. But the fact that we have had to go out of our way multiple times to check on the status of things rather than being contacted with updates is incredibly frustrating. Each time we have called we have been given the runaround or told some bs estimated time. I called yesterday again after having been told previously that "the manager is the one who deals with these things, he'll be in later in the week." As I was giving our ordering info over the phone, the worker rudely interrupted me stating she knew who I was and that the chair was not to be expected for another month when 2 weeks previously we were told it would only be a week. I finally lost my cool and demanded a refund then and there, we had had enough. The worker let us know she would have the manager give us a call personally to go over details. We received no such call. Today, we had to go out of our way AGAIN to drive to the location and figure out wtf was going on. The man at the front (I'm assuming this so called manager we were waiting on) actually asked us "you haven't gotten your chair yet?" when we explained why we were there, as if he was just hearing this for the first time. He took us to customer service where the worker already had the paperwork ready for our refund. Big lack of communication there. There was no apology, no offering to make things right (switch out for a different chair, free delivery, ANYTHING.) They mentioned that we must be in a rush to find something else, nodding to my belly. They ran our card that they were so eager to take two months before and let us know it may be 5-7 business days, maybe more, to see the refund reflected on our credit card. So now we are here playing the waiting game AGAIN and $400 short until we get the refund and can venture out to find a furniture store who will respect our time and hard earned money. I am absolutely devastated that our nursery will not be complete for our son's arrival and he will have nothing to soothe him until we can find another chair. We did our part and ordered ahead of time, they severely lacked the compassion to respect that and keep in contact. Don't waste your time here, go somewhere else. read more

I'd like to take this opportunity to enlighten you about MEGA FURNITURE customer service. This is my opinion base off my most recent purchase. I purchased a couch/hide-a-bed and ottoman. The day they delivered I received a phone call stating they didn't have the ottoman in stock and that they ordered one in. After waiting 6 weeks I called them to get an ETA and was told it was in. A week later they delivered what was supposed to be my ottoman. To my surprise it wasn't even close to what I bought, it was the wrong color and wrong fabric. So I asked for a store credit, which they gave me. The process was a joke! When I went in to use my your credit the guy helping me acted like he couldn't make a move without his district manager Mark's approval. My store credit was in my account in their computer system. So why couldn't he process my credit? It was very frustrating. They should always have someone with the authority to take care of these matters. That's just good customer service. The employee helping me did try to contact Mark by text message but Mark never responded, so I left the store empty handed. I live 30 miles away from the store. I asked that we do the transaction by phone. I was told that he would have Mark called me the next day. I did not hear from Mark for four days so I called. When I finally talked to Mark he made excuses for not calling me. He told me he found my paperwork and asked how I wanted to pay the delivery charge, It was $120. I replied "why do I have to pay this delivery fee this wasn't my fault." His response was if I want my chair delivered I had to pay for it. At that point I got off the phone with him and called the corporate office. Don't waste your time calling that number unless you have an extension. Meanwhile, I got a call from Mark telling me if I gave up the accessory I was going to get and the rest of my store credit ($70), then he would have my chair delivered. Moving on... The Icing on the cake was when the delivered guy kept complaining about how far away we were from the warehouse. Then later in the day after taking trash out to our 3 yard reciprocal to my surprise those delivery guys had filled our empty can half way up with their garbage. But wait there's more... on their first delivery they pulled down an overhead phone line and didn't bother to tell me. I noticed it as they were driving off because the driver pointed it out to his co- worker. So...if you don't want a nightmare I suggest you stay away from MEGA FURNITURE. read more

Please bare with the lengthy post but this was our not great experience. Me and my husband bought a custom couch from this furniture store. First off, the buying process wasnt terrible the man that helped us was very nice but I was a little put off that their system couldnt reflect the discount we would be getting as we went in during their 40% off sale for the new year I believe it was but nevertheless my husband liked the couch so much he was fine with not seeing the full breakdown. We were assured the discount was applied. We waited our allotted time for the couch to arrive. It came Feb 7th and when it arrived I was missing 3/6 pillows. The man delivering said he didnt know where they were and I would have to call in. I called and they called me back after speaking to the manufacturer to tell me the pillow fabric was on back order (mind you when I was picking this fabric I switched it from the original one I wanted because I was told that one was on back order and I didnt want to wait). Little did I know the fabric I switched to was also on back order. I was told they would call me when they were ready. Almost 2 weeks later no call so I call in and they tell me the pillows are ready and she will call me when they come in. No call back so then I call in again and am told the pillows will be to me the next week. I wait till the end of the following week and call and they said they will call me back once they hear from the manufacturer. I again wait a few days, no call. I call once more and ask to speak to a manager and hes apparently out until Friday. I get told my pillows are at the warehouse and I can come get them from their store Thursday. I told her it wasnt fair for me to have to drive from San Tan Valley to Gilbert to get the pillows that were supposed to be deleivered in the first place she said she would speak to her manager and call me back, still no call. I call in on Friday and get the manager and explain to him everything to which he doesnt apologize or anything just tells me my pillows will be at the store that day and I can come get them because he has no way of getting my pillows out to me. He says he will call me back when they arrive. I then go "will you really call me back because Ive been told that before?" He said he would. I then ask "do you even have my number to call me?" He goes "oh yea let me get that from you." He does call later to tell me they have arrived and I can pick them up. I told him I would pick them up and disconnected the call. Ive never had such terrible service for paying 5k for a couch!!! I know it was just 3 pillows missing but we still paid for those! There was no communication, no following up, no great level of service and no apology. I wouldnt have been so upset if they had communicated this whole time with me instead of me trying to get this squared away for a whole month! I try to be as nice as possible and give people the benefit of the doubt but sheesh!! I was even more appauled speaking with the manager who didnt seem to care one bit. Ill never buy from this place again and hope this post makes others consider this before buying here too. They get 2/5 stars because we at least liked our couch. Fyi for timeline purposes my pillows arrived to their store 3/8 basically a whole month later. read more

The service here is excellent and really friendly! Huge selection. We were looking for a new kitchen table. Couldn't quite find what we were looking for, so they gave us catalogs to look through. We found just what we wanted and were offered a great discount. Delivery was fast and efficient. I really recommend this store. This started off as a great experience but quickly deteriorated when it came to delivery. We went in and bought a couch, loveseat, and recliner for a good price. The couches came from the warehouse, but the only recliner available was the floor model, which we did receive a slight discount on. We made sure the chair was wrapped and taken off the floor before we left and we arranged delivery for later that week. When the delivery came, we got the couches but no recliner. We tried to call the salesman or manager, but could only talk to the person answering the phone and she advised that we were supposed to be picking up the recliner. We requested a call back from the manager. The following day, the assistant manager called and advised that they would need to charge an additional delivery fee. We argued that this was not our fault and they finally agreed to waive the delivery fee. However, they only deliver to our area once a week and we were not available the next delivery time, so we will receive our recliner a full two weeks after the couches arrived. I found the whole situation frustrating as they took no responsibility for the error even though it was made clear to the salesman that we were expecting it all to be delivered. I would highly recommend to talk to the salesman and the people entering the information into the system and triple check that our order is as expected. read more

I needed a sectional and started by going to AFW because of their commercials, but everyone there seemed too busy for me. So, I decided to go to Mega Furniture. Immediately upon entering the store I was greeted by the store manager Rocky! I told him what I was looking for and he said "follow me, I have lots of options" he asked all the right questions to narrow down exactly what I needed. He then introduced me to Eric, one of the sales people at the store, who spent over an hour helping me pick the perfect one! My sectional was just delivered and it's everything I had dreamed of. After I got my delivery I was surprised to get a call from Rocky following up to make sure everything was satisfactory, which it was.
