The girl who was waiting our table was so polite and made ordering easy by recommending some items. Food was phenomenal! The torta and t h mole enchiladas were an 11/10! So much flavor and would 1000% get both again. Can't remember the seasonal drink but it was tasty and the champurrado was amazing! Reminds me of family style cooking! They're basically just cauliflower tacos, so I wasn't expecting much from them but they were some of the best tacos I've eaten. Ever!! My friends got the enchiladas and one of the shrimp dishes and both loved their meals too. I actually liked this place so much, that I suggested it for dinner with some other friends the next week! This time I got the Calabacitas. Again, it sounded like just a plate of veggies but it was incredible. The service both times was excellent. They started by asking about restrictions or allergies, so they helped me pick out the vegan options. Only downside here is that it gets hot in the restaurant. There seem to only be a few tables that don't get baked by the sun coming through the windows at dinner time. Both times I went, we were sweating a bit or had sun directly in our eyes because they either don't have shades on the windows or just don't use them.

It's a simple but nice interior with a little bit of outdoor bar seating as well, definitely better if it's warmer out. We got three different styles of wings and a couple of sides to see what they offered. I liked the VFC and AG the best as they had nice flavor and weren't too salty. The tamarind was a bit too salty for me, but with the brussels, pickles, and slaw, there was some much needed acidity to balance things. I think the pricing is a bit high on the wings for how much you get but it's a fun concept and we need more Asian food in Austin. Hopefully they'll stick around and open a food truck somewhere in town.

I really liked both mala and butter masala (both are so on point!), and will have to come back to try the other two. Their chicken is incredibly high quality as it comes from a Freebird chicken farm where they leave "stress-free lives", which is fantastic. Their beverages are incredible as well. I tried the cantaloupe milk and thought it was so unique and could see myself coming back just for a drink, but I don't think I could resist their wings to be honest. The restaurant itself is under a hospitality company that rotates the food vendors every 6 months. The management has a very collaborative relationship with the pop-ups they host and seem to work together on the menu. I had a lovely chat with the general manager who was giving us advice on what to order. The service and attention was unbeatable. Not only would I come back for East Meets Wings, but I'm excited to see what Playground will offer next.

I ordered a traditional taco as well (bacon and egg taco). Once you order from the window, they bring your order to your car. You can also call ahead with your ahead.
