I recently moved to Rochester, exactly three weeks ago. So really recently but enough time so that my eyebrows started to get out of control! So naturally one of my priorities was to find a great place to groom my unruly eyebrows. After reading a review on yelp for this establishment I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! Although she is located on a main road, the building is somewhat set back from the road so if you're new to the area as I am it may be somewhat hard to find, but I don't have a smart phone or gps. Be sure to look for R Convenience store, she is just right next door, and it won't be a problem. It was quiet when I walked in. The owner was speaking with two other customers that were on their way out. She greeted me kindly and escorted me to a chair promptly. She introduced herself as Meetra, and shook my hand and asked me my name. Unsure of her technique I was a little apprehensive since threading can be a painful process, but I was more than relieved that she has a wonderfully gentle technique, making it almost painless. One of the best experiences I have had with threading and I've been doing it for over five years. I will surely be back. I thought it would be difficult to find a place that would make me feel comfortable but it seems I lucked out on my first try. No need to try other places. She was reasonably priced at $8, she was just down the road from the University of Rochester where I attend school. She was inviting and professional. I went to Meetra today after viewing the reviews on yelp. I will be returning again, as I am very satisfied with the threading she did on my eyebrows. Pros: The establishment was very clean and there was no wait. She washed her hands prior to touching my skin (without me asking), and my eyebrows have never looked better. I only paid $8 which is the least I have ever paid for threading ($10-$12 is what I am used to paying at the local malls), although I did tip her because I was pleased with the work she did. Cons: It's hidden in the cut on W. Henrietta which was hard for me to find being that the weather was not so good and it was my first time there. Also, it was more painful than I have experienced in the past, and I also had a little bleeding on the right side, but nothing unacceptable. Overall, I think Meetra is the best around these parts, and I will be a continued customer going forward. I will also be referring my friends to her as well. read more

I went into Meetra's for the first time last week for an eyebrow threading. I chose her spa based on all the wonderful reviews she has on Yelp. I called up before I left my home to see if they take walk-ins and they do! My experience there lasted literally 15 minutes, from walking in the door, having my eyebrows done, payment and even a little conversation. Of course it was 11 in the morning on a weekday and I was the only customer, but I didn't care, no wait! Meetra herself did my eyebrows (it's always a pleasure to have the owner of a business take care of you) and she did a fantastic job. I didn't have to tell her how I'd like my eyebrows to be shaped. What was really great was that I requested that she not thread certain parts of my eyebrows or my upper lip and she respected that and did not pressure me otherwise. She is a very sweet young woman and I'm really happy with the results! For $8 it was worth it! read more

First off, Meetra is the sweetest person!! She's surprisingly quick (thus reducing overall pain) and immaculately accurate. My brows have never looked better and I've been threading for years now. And cheap, cheap, CHEAP!! You will NEVER find prices like this for the work that she does, ANYWHERE. She has a very calm demeanor and immediately puts you at ease. I have only had my eyebrows threaded once before, and it felt way better this time! Meetra was so gentle and did a wonderful job on my eyebrows during my first visit. They haven't looked this good in a while. Today I returned to have my eyebrows threaded again, in addition to my upper lip. As much as the upper lip hurt, she was done quick and everything looks great! I highly recommend visiting this spa for all of your threading needs! read more

I go frequently to Meetra's for eyebrow threading and she is not only a friendly person, but does the cleanest and most painless threading job! She is a delight to see always and asks about how I'm doing. The place is clean and inviting, and she keeps track of eyebrow progress too (i.e. waiting for a part to grow out for a more even look). She takes her time and is patient. Definitely the best in Rochester! read more

I went to this salon based on the ratings and am glad I did. As others have said it is hidden besides a building. I was immediately greeted and asked to wait while the owner took care of her daughter. I think she is a wonderful mom to think of her child first. I didn't mind waiting the two minutes. I just recently moved back to Rochester from Dallas Texas, and I was looking for someone who does eyebrow threading for a decent price, and yelp guided me to meetra spa, it was quiet and so warming me and my sister both got threading done, my sister is a wax person so for her 1st time she actually did pretty good and said she will never do wax again. I only go to Meetra Spa for my threading. For $20 I get a full thread which is easily $15 less than anywhere else in Rochester. The best part is she's the best threader I've ever had. She's quick which actually makes it less painful and the eyebrow arc that she creates is awesome. It's also very easy to get in for an appointment; even last minute. read more

Meetra was very friendly . She was very quick , I had full legs and arms waxing which didn't take more than 30 mins , she takes walk ins for the eye brows but better to make an appointment for full waxing.
