I made an appointment online to get my eyebrows done with Alyssa. It was a pretty last minute booking and it was still a seamless process. The browsROC building was a little bit difficult to find for me. There was a sign on the window, but no big signage on the outside of the building. The browsROC reception area is adorable and gorgeous. The walls are a cute pink. There were water bottles and other refreshments in the waiting area. It was a very pleasant waiting area. Alyssa's room was also adorable. It was clean and neat. I'm not a fan of the overly shaped and thin eyebrows. Alyssa did a great job of cleaning up my eyebrows. They look thick and natural but also clean and well-shaped. She did a great job on them! My husband was there with me. I asked Alyssa if she did men's brows (she does). He had never gotten his eyebrows done. She was very gentle. She used one strip of wax to clean up the unibrow, trimmed his brows and tweezed to clean up a bit around the edges. His eyebrows look great; better than I've ever seen them. He was in good hands with Alyssa for his first eyebrow waxing experience. Alyssa was also very friendly and lively. My eyebrows are on the thinner side with not much shape to them. I've always been envious of those with a beautiful arch to their brow. I wasn't sure what to expect going into my appointment if anyone would be able to get me that shape I was looking for since I felt I didn't have much to work with. I booked with Ryan on their website, super easy and quick! He was very kind and assessed my brows saying there was potential to get a nice arch without changing the thinness which I was excited to hear. A few plucks here and there and wow I had that arch I was looking for! He also took the time to teach me how to fill in my brows properly with a pencil and best colors to use for my eyebrow color. Just moved to the area and was inspired to get my brows done after 4 years of tweezing at home. Did extensive research, weighing cost/locations/services and opted to try browsROC, since they obviously focus on brows. Fabulous decision! Easy online scheduling allowed me to book an appointment quickly and receive a text/email reminder. Ryan greeted me and was super friendly. He offered me water/snacks/etc, which is beyond most places. The waiting area is simple and clean, but well decorated. I had booked with Alyssa, but it's obvious I could book with either and be in great hands. Alyssa welcomed me into her space and was so very friendly. She asked about what I was looking for in the service I'd scheduled and got right to work. She doesn't talk you through each step, which works better for me because anticipation causes me to tense up. Instead we just talked about living in Rochester and all that. Alyssa trimmed, tweezed, and waxed my eyebrows into a beautiful masterpiece! I couldn't stop staring at them while I was checking out and I'm really glad I chose Alyssa. I found that Rochester has an abundance of people who provide brow waxing services and you can certainly find cheaper places, but Alyssa is so worth it. So happy to have found browsROC. read more

I have been having my hair stylist do my brows since I first started getting them done, this was my first time having a professional do them. Alyssa was absolutely amazing, and I look forward to allowing someone to rip hot wax off of my face again. She was extremely friendly and really took time to ask me questions about my brows, things I hadn't thought of. The space was clean and very comfortable. I was greeted immediately and felt welcomed; it honestly felt like I had known Alyssa my entire life. There was a brief issue with my card working, which I felt awful about. I have been getting my brows done by Alyssa since the beginning of her career. I was so excited that she Ryan were opening a spot on Park Ave. I went in today to get my very overgrown brows groomed back into perfection, and browsROC is gorgeous! I love their color scheme. The building is easy to find, and mega bonus for Park Ave - it has a parking lot! As someone who lived in Denver for two years, but still only got my brows done by Alyssa when i came home for visits every few months, I can honesty say that I would come see her even if I had to walk five blocks and park illegally by a fire hydrant. But luckily, I don't since there is parking which will be great in the winter. But seriously, Alyssa has been doing my brows since forever. She was the first professional I went to and I always leave looking amazing. I have one 'crazy' brow which grows completely different and in a very weird manner, but she always manages to tame it. I will post a couple before and after photos since I waited a little too long since my last shaping. Once in a while, I'd be getting a facial or be in NYC getting some other beauty service and would be like ok may as well just let them do my brows. HUGE MISTAKE. Most brow people try to accuse me of having done something to my brows and that's why they can't get them to match. Not true. I decided to book an appointment here a few days ago after letting my eyebrows grow out of control for way too long to the point of feeling insecure about the state of them. Alyssa not only took the time to make them look great once again (better than ever before) but also filled me in on tips and tricks for proper maintenance. She was so sweet and really made me feel comfortable and clearly knows what she's doing/talking about. It was obvious that she really cared about me truly being satisfied with the look of them and took the time to ask me what I thought and tweak them until they were perfect! If I had more money I would have tipped her more - she's truly excellent. The place looks so nice inside and it's in a good spot because there's parking! I've trusted Ryan to take care of my eyebrows for a year or two now. Before I met Ryan my brows had been damaged by both my own youthful over-plucking and aggressive wax jobs by so-called brow professionals. The last person I saw had been so pluck happy that I might as well have shaved them off! It took me months of using an expensive brow serum to get any regrowth. After this traumatic experience I was understandably nervous about having my brows worked on again but eventually they got so unruly I just had to. I made an appointment with a salon in Pittsford and somehow got lucky enough to end up with Ryan. I told him my concerns and what I wanted, which was for my eyebrows to be as full as possible yet still well shaped and groomed. He did an amazing job and I've been going to him ever since. Today my husband and I visited him at his new location, Brows by Ryan on Meigs St. My husband is 38 and up until a few hours ago never had so much as one hair on his eyebrows plucked. He was apprehensive and worried that they would look "over-done" and less masculine. After a quick and painless appointment he left with a big smile on his face. On the drive home I kept catching him glancing in the mirror and admiring his new and improved eyebrows.
