I have black, moderately course hair and pale skin.. So basically I had to shave every single day and even after shaving you could see a shadow from my hair follicles. But plus side, I am the perfect candidate for hair removal! Ultimate Beauty was able to get my treatments started quickly. My full legs were my biggest concern and an area I never had treated before. The process was quick and professional. There was never a second where I felt uncomfortable or self-conscious at all. Everyone always asks if getting lasered hurts? Just what I needed. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. As a result. I cannot get any injections, chemical peels, or anything that is not hydrating or natural, while in chemo. Which was a devastating blow to my confidence. I assumed that meant, I would look 10 years older, in a year. Also the chemo is making my face break out. Talk about a huge whammy! Mallory did a wonderful hydrating facial, with Papaya enzymes and lipids. My skin feels and looks amazing! This is now part of my regular rotation. Nothing zaps collagen from your face than chemo. I plan on living through this and fighting hard. But whether I end up in a coffin or continuing to live my best life. I still want to feel pretty. I will never go back there again! I was just treated so rudely by the esthetician, Jody that works…read morethere. I have only seen her twice and this time was definitely my last! I am an esthetician as well and would never have treated a client the way she did with me. My appointment for a facial and laser treatment was at 1:30pm and I tried calling around 12:15pm to say that I would be late by 10 minutes or so. When I called it was automatically sent to a message stating that the office is closed during the lunch hour between 12 and 1pm and unfortunately there was no ability to leave a message to communicate that I would be late. Then I tried around 1:15pm and then again at 1:25pm. Again no answer and the same recording of the office being closed for the lunch hour between 12 and 1pm. When I arrived at 1:40pm I checked in with the friendly receptionist who smiled and said that she would let Jody know I was here. I told her I tried calling several times to let them know I would be late but wasn't able to get through. When Jody came to pick me up and bring me into the room I asked if we were going to do the facial first or the laser? She looked at me and said in a very condescending voice that I was late and there wasn't time for a facial. I tried explaining that I called and couldn't get through and she didn't seem to care. When she came back into the room she scolded me and said, "Shame on you!" you should know better! You're an esthetician and shouldn't be late! I again tried to explain that I called and couldn't get through to notify her and apologized when she rudely cut me off and said that I was late the last time! ( and if I was I know it wasn't more than 5 minutes) She then went on to state how valuable her time was and she doesn't appreciate it being wasted! At this point I felt like I wanted to cry!!! I couldn't believe this was actually happening. I was about to get up and leave, but I knew this would be my last treatment , so I just laid there and could barely even say anything to her after that! She made me feel so uncomfortable and belittled me as well! I couldn't wait until the treatment was over. I think she deliberately cranked up the machine on my underarms because they were burning! And she must have realized she was doing it because she asked if I needed ice-packs for them!!! I've never been asked that for previous sessions nor did I ever experience the "burning". I told her it felt very hot and she said it's because she had to change the setting because I was "tan". I went tanning once 3 weeks ago without lifting my underarms and not for very long. She explained that it still creates melanin in the skin even if it's not directly exposed...even as an esthetician I had a hard time believing that! I started using some of the skin care products from there and used to have facials from the previous esthetician, Vivian. That's who started my laser too. She was wonderful, but moved to Florida. I also work at a very nice high end spa and it's not a medical facility so there were MANY clients I could refer for laser and other medical spa treatments. Well not anymore!!! I LOVE Q the medical spa at Lindsay House for medical spa treatments and will continue to go there for further treatments and send my clients there as well! I figured I would try the new girl out after Vivian left because the location was convenient and I needed to finish my laser package I purchased but she has totally ruined it for me and I will NEVER be back. Being in the service industry you are to treat your clients with respect at all times! People have choices where they wish to have treatments done and are spending a lot of money too! I have clients that run late and some that are perpetually late, NEVER do I make them feel bad or scold them about timing. You simply shorten their service or say in a very nice way that you are booked back to back and unfortunately won't have time. If I treated my clients the way she just treated me I don't think they would ever come back and I wouldn't have much of a clientele!
