Once for my eyebrows ($10) and once for a Brazilian ($50) wax. Both services were quick and well done. No other salon in Rochester accepts walk-ins for Brazilians, and Meetra did! Much appreciated. Meetra is friendly and definitely knows what she's doing. Her services are well priced for this area, which is the main reason I go to her, but also high quality. The reason for a reduced star is because she's just one person, so both times, I had to wait a decent amount of time to be seen. Also, she has her child there running around as well. Meetra has been my go-to for eyebrow threading for the past few years and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results she always gives me. I'm usually pretty lazy with keeping up my brows between appointments and when they grow out, I always have difficulty figuring out the proper shape, but no matter what condition they're in, Meetra always does such an amazing job of restoring them to their intended shape. She's very quick and thorough; visits only take a few minutes and she's good about cleaning up all around the eyebrows. Because she's so fast, I've never had an issue with walking in, even if there are other people there. There are a few parking spaces in the front and plenty of spots around the back. Her rates are very reasonable, but she has a credit card minimum, so either bring cash or you can use Venmo. Overall, great place and I highly recommend Meetra! read more

Nowhere on the website, nor during the appointment making process, did the owner of the store inform me that she DOES NOT take male clients for any of her services. I went to this establishment expecting to get a wax, but as I walked in she quickly told me that she does not wax men. At first, I understood, as it would totally be acceptable if she happened to be uncomfortable with waxing male clients. After my female friend finished with her appointment, I noticed on the website that the business offers women's eyebrow threading. I asked the woman if she offered simple eyebrow threading for men, and she declined. I don't have much else to say, other than that if she's wishes to continue serving clients in her business, she should keep an open mind for future male clients as well. read more

Awesome!! I came in for eyebrow, upper lip, and chin threading (ugh, so embarrassing to admit!). Meetra finished the whole threading process in under 10 minutes! And for only $20! My face was red for maybe a few minutes after words, but that's to be expected. Now my face looks lovely! :-D It's a wee bit difficult to find. I've gone to Meetra Spa twice now and been satisfied both times. There is typically no wait and my brows are clean and shapely each time. My 4-star review is related to sometimes feeling a bit chaotic inside with her daughter coming in and out or the woman taking phone calls. I'll admit it: I've gotten stuck in a "waxing loop." I find someone I like...and I get my brows waxed again and again, even when I find myself wondering if I'm really satisfied with what I see. I get used to ignoring stray brows, paying too much, and convincing myself that they know what they are doing. Enter threading. In my experience, it lasts longer and looks nicer. Sure, it can be a bit uncomfortable..but since it's generally cheaper. A bonus! It had been awhile since I got my brows waxed, and I wasn't looking forward to dumping more money on questionable results. I saw a good review of Meetra's pop up on Yelp. Because I work nearby, I thought it'd be worth a shot...and I have only good things to report. Tucked away in a small plaza next to a Cricket dealer, Meetra's will take walk ins. I came in at the end of a long work day hoping I could make an appointment, and she was happy to take me right then. Perfect! I asked to have my brows done, knowing very well they were in rough shape. Meetra took care of them, pointing out where she'd left a couple hairs because my brows were uneven from waxing. I appreciated this because I can't tell you how many times I have had my brows done and have walked out my car only to see some stray hairs a stylist didn't warn me about. Honesty is good here! More importantly, it wasn't overly painful and I didn't bleed...issues I've had with threading in the past. She also checked in to make sure I was comfortable. Along those lines, I really appreciated that she pointed out where I needed things done. It seems like a minor thing, but I've noticed that some stylists have failed to point out where I could use more work. (Lips, chin, etc. Hey, for those of us with dark hair it's a curse!) I ended up getting my entire face done, and Meetra continued to notice things she wasn't happy with and fix them. I was really impressed with her attention to detail as all too often, stylists ONLY give you what you ask for. Meetra went above and beyond. Ultimately, I dropped by today hoping I could get my brows done without an appointment...and I ended up getting my entire face done in less than a half hour and it only cost 20. That's a STEAL. I've already booked my next appointment. Whether you are familiar with threading or looking to try it for the first time..I highly recommend Meetra's. read more

She goes at it, cleans you up, shapes them to make you look flawless, and does it all with minimal pain. I am from Edison, NJ aka Little India, where you can find salons with plenty of ladies offering eyebrow threading. I've seen the worst of them and pretty good ones as well. I'm really spoiled with the service I am use to & really particular with my brows, so when I came into ROC for a wedding, I was SO hesitant on going to get my eyebrows threaded. But after reading the reviews about Meetra, I drove to her salon and walked-in. There was no wait. I was greeted right away, sat down and Meetra went straight to work. I hands down, have never seen my eyebrows threaded so well. Meetra knows what she is doing, in terms of shaping your brows and moving the thread quickly over your skin to help minimize pain. Great groupon deal that brought me here. however spa said it opened at 11a. I got here at 1145a. Not open. Called, said she was on her way. Still sitting in my car 15 mins later. Hopefully it will be worth the wait, but at the moment not impressed. If you've never threaded before, it hurts a little more than waxing, but lasts longer. :) Granted she was late, Meetra was very nice & apologetic. I was here training for 3 months earlier this year. I found Meetra.. and to this day, I'm grateful!! I had tried going to the mall for threading. I've always been getting full face threading done. When she was done with the first eyebrow I looked in the mirror and I was shocked. My eyebrows had never looked this good before. I was excited for my weekend plans and surprisingly, even my guy friends noticed my eyes looked beautiful. She enhances your natural beauty and does it in the most painless way possible. I went back to her throughout the time I was in Rochester for full body waxing, threading as well as henna. I just got back to Rochester in December 2014 for another training session for 4 weeks and I had already called and made my appointment with her. I get my eyebrows threaded & dyed black with henna every few weeks for the unbelievably reasonable cost of $20 ($12 for the threading & $8 for the dye - which fades beautifully btw). She does an amazing job & I always end up looking like a super model. Went for my first time for eyebrow threading. Experience was a little off at first, I wasn't sure what to expect and the fluffy customer service stuff wasn't there in the beginning. With that being said I am in love with my brows! I was going to the brow diva spending a ridiculous amount on sculpting and honestly I like the threading better. It comes with some pain, but no more than waxing or tweezing, plus my skin was only red for a min or two and then was back to normal. Plus the whole process took at most 4 or 5 mins and a lot cheaper than what I'm used to paying. I'll def go back! read more

Only reason I took away a star is because she didnt wash her hands between the prior client and me.
