This is supposed to be Q Mochi Shaved Ice. It is big, but ice is uneven and looks nothing like pic.

I can't believe it's been about 4mths since my last resto review! Due to Covid, this was the first time in a while that I've sat on a patio. What's on the menu? Taiwanese tea drinks (mainly cold) and desserts. I looked at the menu briefly, but I don't think there were the standard snacks like popcorn chicken, fried chicken wings, rice, etc. Primarily, it's for drinks/desserts. Patio has very limited seating, like 4 small tables. Obvi there aren't any tables set-up inside. However, there are benches around the perimeters for people waiting for orders. When I arrived on a Friday night, they were VERY backed up, e.g. 45-60min wait. I've never made any of these desserts, but isn't grass jelly from a can? Based on what I ordered, Q Mochi Shaved Ice, the only thing that needed "making" was the shaved ice and the rest should be an assembling line, scoop, scoop, scoop. There were chunks of shaved ice, so it wasn't even. My friend's grass jelly has absolutely no shaved ice as per photos. Although a large portion, my item looked nothing like the photos. Also due to Covid, there is A LOT of waste as everything comes in disposable containers. With the B1G1 special, it was fine, but I don't think I'd pay full price esp. with the wait.

They also sell ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn, Philly Water Ice, beverages, and Mangonada. The restaurant just just opened 2023-05-01. It is takeout only. They will close in Aug since they are seasonal, and hopefully reopen again each year. The listed hours are the minimum hours. They may open extra days, especially if it is a hot day. They might close if it is raining. After they shave the ice, they poke holes right to the middle so that the flavour syrups flow right through. We ordered the following: 1. The Kensington: Hawaiian style, with Blue Raspberry, Pineapple, Cherry, Snow Cap ($11.50). 2. Shaved Ice, with Blue Raspberry, Banana,  Strawberry, Snow Cap ($8.50). Hawaiian style means there is a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle. Snow Cap is a combination of condensed milk cream and evaporated milk. The combination doesn't make it as sweet. The two owners also have a full-time job, so this is part-time for them. They are looking to hire staff. They are very personable. They are very passionate about their business. After mixing I couldn't really taste the Sakura, but it was still a good rich matcha drink. The chewy pearls at the bottom had a nice texture. Poop waffle was warm & crisp & came in a Japanese style toilet. There was a choice of custard, red bean or Nutella but I chose to hew to the theme. The crumb was fluffy & quite fragrant. I searched around, this store was nice and more comments. So we decided to come here. Midland is a well known location that not hard to find. There was 1 more hours to be closed, when we walked in. But the casher was not rush me. She just let us know we could scan the QR code for the menu on the table, and come up to the counter to order, when we are ready. We were debating which one to get, Golden Mango or Matcha Mango Bingsu. The cashier said Golden Mango is giving different texture, even though it's all mango flavor; the Matcha Mango is using matcha shaved ice as base, then top with Mango fresh fruit. So we final decision was the Golden Mango Bingsu. Once we ordered, we got a electric alert board. We won't wait long, the alert board was beeping when our order was ready. I went back to the counter to get my Bingsu. This desert is not big that costs $12.55+tax. Sago has no taste. Fresh mango is on the top, mango base is mango flavored shaded ice, which is like ice cream that smooth. Mango sauce as layer is in the middle of the base, which makes stronger taste. Overall, it's pretty tasty and fresh. That's another type of ice cream for me. The store was open until late night, and I was seeing couples coming in. That reminded me long time ago when we were young. Enjoy the desert and also enjoy the late night life.
