It was packed on a Saturday night but the line was quick and it was pretty fast to get our order. We went the easy route and just picked two of their specials (Hot Grass Jelly #1 and Ice Grass Jelly #1) off their Best Sellers list. SO so happy that there's a Meet Fresh in Bellaire! This is the place to get your grass jelly brown sugar ice taro ball desserts! Super tasty and very refreshing. Not too sweet either. There's lots of different combo desserts you can choose from (hot or cold), or you can build your own! I basically always get mung bean, but there's also boba, red bean, taro/potato balls, grass jelly, etc. I usually just get a dessert, but their drinks are not bad either. The only downside is that it's located in the strip mall with barely any parking that's past the Dun Huang plaza on Bellaire. With so many restaurants and dessert shops packed into one area, parking can be a pain to find. read more

I used to visit the Meet Fresh in Chapel Hill, NC all the time so now that I'm in Houston for the time being, I'm super glad there's one here! I've had most of their variations of their icy taro ball series, which is definitely my favorite. It's just the right size and you can basically pick which toppings you want on your ice, which is great. I really enjoy the boba, taro, and red bean, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. Their pudding and Q mochi milk shaved ice is also fantastic but don't expect to eat it alone! It's huge and definitely enough to feed 2-4. I will mention that every time I've gone, I've ordered to go so I can eat in the car with my immunocompromised mother, and the portions seem much smaller than what I've seen at the Meet Fresh I usually go to and the pictures. Not a huge deal for me since everything is so indulgent anyways but I may ask them if I can take a dine-in bowl to the car next time and then return it once we are finished. Every time I've gone, the place has been pretty empty despite being open for dine-in. The employees are always very nice and wearing masks.
