I've tried Meet Fresh in Vancouver and it was really good so I was super excited when they opened one in Bellevue. I came here on Sunday around 1pm and we surprisingly didn't have to wait in line! When you left around 2pm more people started filling in. Another surprise is that it only took 5 min to get our order. We've heard so many words of mouth that it takes super long for they food to come but it was very quick for us. Perhaps it's because we came during lunch time. We ordered the signature grass jelly with sweet potato and taro mochi. It took a very long time for the ice to melt so if you eat it right after it's served, you're basically eating ice mush for a while. The mochi was very soft and flavorful. I'm a grass jelly fanatic. My usual order at any boba place is fresh milk black tea with grass jelly. I came to Meet Fresh with a few expectations as I heard it was "really expensive for dessert" and that it was "really authentic". I ended up going on a Tuesday night around 8:45 and the line was super minimal and there were plenty of seats. Once it hit 9:10-9:15, the line was super long! My friend Jen and I ordered the icy grass jelly #1 which was just grass jelly shaved ice, grass jelly and sweet potato and yam balls. The dessert itself was $10 and it was a pretty decent size for 2 people. We added some creamer and it was good but we both decided that we preferred blackball's grass jelly dessert because it had more variety of toppings and actually tasted like grass jelly. The desserts were decent. The sweet potato tofu pudding was nice and warm but the syrup wasn't sweet enough. The signature icy grass jelly with taro balls was the better of the two. It was still kind of warm even with the ice but I was okay with that. The taro ball was a good chewy texture and just the right amount of sweet. Note that we didn't put creamer in. The most disappointing part was the traditional milk tea. It was too sweet and not enough tea flavor. On top of that, it wasn't sealed on properly, so it spilled into the to-go bag. IIt's a tough one to rate but for now I think it's a 4. The good: I like the signature iced grass jelly, esp the taro balls. The flavor was pretty good with the creamer. The prices are expensive but the portions are really large so I think it's reasonable if you are sharing. I've also tried the icy taro #5 and that was very good too -- I liked the taro and rice balls in that one. The milk tea is decent and you can get half sugar. Also I've had friendly service each time I come. The not so good: I actually tried to order the hot grass jelly twice and both times they gave me cold. The first time I got it to go so I couldn't get it corrected. But I did the second time and now that I've tried both I definitely prefer the cold. People were standing around hovering at tables waiting to occupy the next one that becomes available; no one helps you get tables so you're doing the table-stalker style common in Asian countries. By the time we got to the counter, we asked if we should just take-out. The lady looked around and said, "yeah, you should". Well, guess we can't order the shaved ice then. We ordered 2 tofu desserts: tofu with taro balls and tofu with red beans and added wintermelon jelly. The tofu is soft, but not the silken quality common for Hong Kong tofu desserts. Other places are better. The wintermelon jelly is tasty and so is the red bean. The Q-mochi is fresh and soft but nothing special. It is first come, first serve in terms of the tables and because it is so busy, you may find difficulty finding a spot to sit. It was our third choice as half of the other selections were sold out. Despite having to pick the taro shaved ice, I was pretty happy with the selection. We heard about Meet Fresh from our peers and decided to come give it a try as we were near. The interior of the Meet Fresh is very open and there's lots of space to sit. The shop was clean and I liked how they had mini kiosks that you could view the menu, order, and pay all at once. The portion size of the shaved ice we got was gigantic and only $10.99! I have a pretty big sweet tooth, but we struggled to finish this between the two of us. I think if I brought another friend or maybe 2, 1 order would still be suffice. I liked how soft the ice was and the was a variety of toppings as well that they didn't skimp on. The flavor was nice too as it wasn't too sweet despite the icecream and syrup on top. Meet Fresh is a great Taiwanese dessert place. You will need to share the shaved ice Tower with mango and strawberries. There is a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I had the $2 Almond pudding with Azuki red beans. It was super good. You have to line up to get to the cashier to place your order. Plus bus your own table. They have a picture menu and screens to show you what they serve. The shop is located next to the Lakehills Library. There is plenty of free parking. read more

This is my go-to dessert place in Bellevue! They're pretty consistent, generous with portions, and the staff is also friendly. I come here almost every day when I visit my boyfriend in Bellevue and we each order two items. I first introduced him to this place in 2018 and he has been addicted ever since. I normally get the cold purple rice soup #1 and substitute the rice balls for barley and also the cold green bean tofu pudding and add peanuts. Sooo good and I'd consider this a much healthier dessert option than ice cream, gelato, cake, cookies, etc. This is also a great place to meet up with friends.
