The meal itself tasted fine at the time, and everything seemed normal while I was eating. However, about an hour or two after leaving, I started experiencing diarrhea. I did not eat anything else today, so the timing makes me very concerned that something I had here didn't sit right. What upset me even more was how this was handled when I called the restaurant to let them know. Instead of showing concern, the woman I spoke with told me that she ate the food herself and was "fine," which came across as dismissive and unwilling to even consider my experience. I understand that not every issue is clear-cut, but a response like that lacks basic customer care. At the very least, I would have expected some empathy or a willingness to look into it. Food safety and customer service both matter, and unfortunately this experience has made me hesitant to return.

The yogurt and cucumber were good too. My son is picky with food, but he loved the chicken kabab and beef kabab big time. The mixed grill dish has four type of kabab I think. Delicious. The inside sitting was very comfortable and the service was perfect.

The sandwiches seed a little pricey however once we tasted them & the the high quality of the meat flavors & veggie ingredients --especially the fresh veggies & salad on side ---showed us why we'll be here again soon! Very cute place with lots of indoor & some outdoor seating. Can't wait to come back to try the lemon soup & other dishes we saw during our visit!

Order the rice, get the rice, and eat the rice. Often times if I'm trying to be carb conscious of skip over the rice, but we ate all the rice that came with our meal. We kept saying, " this rice is so good". It was a bit nostalgic, kind of like my grandma and mom's rice. A rich rice full of flavor. We ordered one appetizer sampler plate, one chicken kebab plate, one steak kebab plate, a side of fries, and knufa. Between three of us, it came out to about $30 per person. Ever so slightly on the pricey side, but larger quantity and very filling. Fries: 5/5 none left at the end Sampler: 3.5 babaganoush was excellent, everything else was ok, falafel was very sesame seed forward. Meat plates: 4/5 tasty, really appreciate how they took them off the skewer for serving, good, but nothing extraordinary Knufa: I'm a hard critic here because my family makes in my opinion the best :-) didn't really love this one. Cheese was not stretchy, was rubbery. Tasted very much like a wheatie (the cereal). Service was five out of five. Even 10 out of five! They were very friendly.

Whether it was a quick lunch between errands or a casual dinner when I didn't feel like cooking, I always knew exactly what I was going to get--fresh food, generous portions, and flavors that were simple but done right. My absolute favorite was the gyro salad with pork belly. It was the perfect balance of everything I love in a meal: crisp lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, feta, and tzatziki, with rice for a little substance and warm pita on the side. I would always swap the red wine vinaigrette for the lemon herb dressing, which added just the right brightness to cut through the richness of the pork belly. It was filling without being heavy, flavorful without being complicated, and consistently satisfying every single time. I recently learned that the menu changed in 2025 and some of those original combinations were discontinued, which honestly made me a little nostalgic. That salad was more than just a meal--it was comfort food during busy days, long workweeks, and moments when I just wanted something reliable and delicious. It set the standard for what a great Mediterranean bowl should be. I moved to Charlotte in 2023, and ever since then I've been trying to find something that hits those same flavor notes. I've found some good options, but nothing has quite matched that perfect combination of freshness, balance, and simplicity that Nick the Greek delivered so consistently. If you're lucky enough to live near one, don't take it for granted. Places like this become part of your routine, and sometimes you don't realize how much you appreciate them until you move away. Still one of my most well-loved food memories from the Bay Area.

She worked there tonight at 7pm, who consistently comes across as rude. Her facial expressions and tone feel dismissive and unwelcoming, almost as if customers are inconveniencing her. Such a bad attitude for working at a restaurant. Customer service matters just as much as food quality. If this behavior continues, we will stop coming to this location. I hope management takes this seriously. There is another person who is extremely friendly and kind , I think his name is Dimitri ?!
