This pharmacy is a hidden gem. The staff is exceptionally polite, helpful, and efficient. Their phone lines are available late in the day past 5 PM. They allow text message communication. This pharmacy organizes medications in pouches timed throughout the day for organization. They also take the effort to get all your medications refilled on the same date so nothing is ever missing. I desperately need a pharmacy like MedBox that sorts the pills out and delivers to your door because I cannot drive. I saw the ads that said that almost all insurances were accepted and it mentioned one of my two. So I contacted them and after checking they. Told me that my insurances were both covered. I was so relieved you have no idea. They transferred my prescriptions from my old pharmacy to MedBox and had me contact my doctor and have him re-write all Of my scripts, which were mostly 90 day prescriptions, into 30 day scripts which is all MedBox can handle. No sooner than the doctor's office had completed this for eight scripts than MedBox sends me this exact text: Hello (name redacted), Thank you very much for your interest in MedBox by AmeriPharma. Unfortunately, your insurance is not compatible with our services at this time. Please feel free to check back with us in the future if anything changes. Would you like for us to transfer the prescriptions we got back to Wal-mart? Best Regards, MedBox Care Team. I feel like I was used to train someone who didn't know what they were doing. They knew my insurance wouldn't work but they wanted to see what this new person would do with it and who cares what the customer is going through. I think that's the only way to explain why they would let me believe for several days that I had been approved. They even had me put payment information on their site for any copay. Now it won't allow me to delete it. So in short they told me I was accepted that my insurance was accepted , they even shipped the empty box. They messed everything up basically and then said oh sorry we can't help you after all. My doctor is going to not be happy. He had just gotten my scripts straightened out and most in 90 day form and now MedBox needed them to be 30 day and then they didn't play fair and left me with messed up scripts. You can tell they didn't care that they screwed everything up either. I will say thank you MedBox for one thing. Thanks for reminding me not to trust anyone in the medical profession. If you are disabled, or rely on Medicare, Medicaid, or something similar, this not that pharmacy for you. They accept only what is convenient for them--not for you. In my situation, their AI said it would take Medicaid, then after discovering my health situation, they told me they would not. They still started the process of transferring a large number of prescriptions. This did nothing but put my health in jeopardy, cost me time, and money I do not have. They are working to help themselves--not anyone who is a patient who has a disability, like needing a heart transplant. read more

Feb 12th, 2025 As an update to my previous review, I was contacted by one of the managing pharmacists at MedBox the day following my review. We engaged in a thorough conversation, during which he told me he had reviewed the issues I had outlined in my review. He provided a detailed explanation of the events that transpired, elucidating the reasons behind their occurrence. Notably, unlike many other companies, he took full responsibility for the issues I encountered and refrained from attributing them to external factors. That was the turning point for me to give Medbox another shot at earning my business. MedBox is currently experiencing rapid growth, which has resulted in a slight lag in updating its technology and employee training to accommodate this expansion. Despite this challenge and for reasons I stated above, I decided to sign up once again with the company due to the unparalleled convenience of their medication delivery method. They expedited my initial MedBox medication delivery overnight, and everything was delivered as promised. I am always pleased to witness a company's growth, and it is common for such growth to involve associated challenges. I can now fully recommend MedBox. --------------------------- Initial review Posted Feb 6th, 2025 In the past few years, I utilized Medbox for my medication delivery by mail order. The service was highly convenient, as I received monthly packages containing small, daily dosages, all sorted and ready for use. However, my Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) canceled their contract with Medbox for an unspecified reason at the time, necessitating my transition to a different service provider. Approximately a month ago, Medbox contacted me to inform me that they had renegotiated their contract with my HMO and would like to reestablish their services with me. I opted to return to Medbox. My initial concern arose during a phone interview with a representative at Medbox who demonstrated a lack of knowledge regarding the delivery process and the specifics of the new contract with my HMO, including the possibility of home delivery. Despite this, I remained optimistic that the situation would resolve itself. The interview took place on January 18th, 2025. The representative informed me that I would receive a response from a pharmacist within the next few days to finalize my medication list. However, this never materialized. It is now February 6th, and I have given them ample time to respond. I waited until February 3rd before contacting them, approximately 2.5 weeks after the interview. Unfortunately, my call went straight to voicemail, which was another concerning sign, as I had not experienced unanswered phone calls during my previous use of Medbox two years ago. I left a polite voicemail requesting a call back, but I have yet to receive a response. Consequently, I then sent a text message to Medbox late February 4th requesting that they cancel any services they had set up on my behalf. I expressed my disinclination to entrust the management of my medication to a company that cannot even respond to messages. However, and not surprisingly, I have not received a reply to my text message. In summary, Medbox appears to have experienced a significant decline in performance. The leadership appears to be either absent or incompetent. I will report Medbox to my HMO, which ironically when I spoke to them cited customer complaints as the reason for their initial cancellation of the contract with Medbox. It is disheartening to witness a company that previously provided excellent service descend into such poor service. I sincerely hope that Medbox will take steps to address the issues and restore its reputation. Although no effort on their part can restore mine, and probably several other people's trust in their ability to manage our medications in a professional and efficient manner. read more

I tried to switch to MedBox from PillPack. Several weeks later, I still hadn't heard anything from MedBox and I am now out of meds. I confirmed that I no longer have scripts with PillPack, so I called MedBox (no chat option). They informed me that they actually don't take my insurance even though it was on their list as accepted. I have no idea why they didn't verify that before taking all of my scripts from PillPack and I have no idea why I was never notified - no call, no message, nothing showing in the online account, and no response to the online message I sent last week. Just been sitting here waiting for them to arrive. The girl on the phone just kept saying they were "working on getting a contract" with my plan - as if that helps me right now. So now they're calling in some of my meds to my local pharmacy. I have to call the doctor to get the other two. The local pharmacy only has the individual bottles, of course, so I will have to sort them myself for a month and then transfer everything back to PillPack to resume the daily packet service. Huge hassle. It doesn't matter to me if they ever get a contract with my insurance. They have lost a future customer simply because they could not communicate the issue and left me scrambling. read more

I received my Medbox on time. The kind assistance of the great personal service is how an organization should be run. To lead by example, the operation of Medbox should be cloned. There is excellent support and personal service I've received from them for many years now. If ever a question, communication with actual people is such a plus. I needed my meds before box was due they said they transferred all my meds to local pharmacy to fill for 4 days worth. Well after 4 days I wasn't feeling to great come to find out they failed to send over a very important medication. I called and they told me "they don't know why it wasn't sent" so I had to take care of that myself. Then the box gets delivered a big box! And I never received any notice it was delivered so it sat in hot sun all day!! Hope they're still good. Won't be asking for another box if they're that untrustworthy the very first time!!! I have been using MedBox for at least a couple years now. They are just the best. Of course, they are in the business of shipping medications in a convenient package. Their packaging is wonderful but what I really like about MedBox is their service. If you need them, they are just a call away. No stupid recording!! A real, professional, nice person handles your call. They call me to see if my meds have changed. They email me to let me know my meds are on the way. They actually act like they appreciate my business. My meds used to be such a pain. Go to some pharmacy drive through and spend 20 minutes dealing with an over worked clerk.
