I have been a loyal CVS customer for nearly a decade, picking up the same prescription from this location -- the same location I've been coming to since I was in elementary and middle school in this neighborhood. What happened today was one of the most disrespectful and incompetent pharmacy experiences I have ever had. I came in to pick up my medication and was told it was an insurance issue. I spent my ENTIRE day making calls -- to my insurance, to my doctor's office -- getting everyone to do their part, only to come back and still be told it wasn't going through. Why? Because Jinny, the pharmacy technician who was "helping" me, did not know how to properly process the claim and refused to listen when I calmly explained how this prescription has always been handled. Instead of listening, she stayed on her phone texting for five minutes while I politely asked to speak with a manager. When I repeated my request, she looked me in the eye and said "what do you want -- your medicine or the manager?" She then put my medication back on the shelf and refused to assist me. I continued asking for a manager and she acted as though she couldn't hear me. When Yvonne came over, she told me to my face that I didn't know what I was talking about. Both employees were dismissive, condescending, and unprofessional. I was mocked and belittled while I stood there calmly advocating for myself. Then -- and this is the part that says everything -- the head pharmacist walked over, pressed ONE button, and it was done. Instantly. The same thing I had been telling them all day. The girls went quiet and returned to their work. Not a single apology. Not one word of acknowledgment for the full day they wasted of my time. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he was on vacation. I asked for a contact email or number to escalate and was told they had none. Convenient. Jinny's incompetence and refusal to listen cost me an entire day. The disrespect shown by her and Yvonne is inexcusable. I will not be returning to this CVS -- or any CVS -- after this experience. I haven't come here in a while, the last couple times I did, I was not super impressed. So about this visit. I needed to get a syringe, for a medication that I was prescribed. The medication was not an issue, but they stated they could not dispense syringes without a prescription. But I could go on Amazon and order them and have them delivered same day. They didn't have any real reasoning behind, not selling me a syringe, even the pharmacist said that they could but they just weren't in the habit of doing that. It made zero sense to me. CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - ALISO VIEJO, California

This has been my go-to CVS since moving to the area. Everything I need is always in-stock. Dental floss, COVID test, bottles of Sprite for upset stomach just to name a few examples. It's nice the OC Sheriffs are routinely in the area and I feel safe going there even if it's 2am. The self-checkout process has also never given me problems. I can just punch in my numbers and use all my loaded coupons. I hope the team there at this CVS location gets recognized for their consistently good work-- well stocked, clean, and efficient service. read more

Pharmacy review - Had to transfer a medication to this pharmacy because I was visiting my mom in OC. On the phone, the woman helping me was terribly rude plus told me my medication would be ready that evening when in fact it took two days. Also, it is very hard to get ahold of anyone when I was calling for an update. If I ever need to transfer a medication again I will go to another location in the area. I will get messages from the pharmacy that my prescriptions are ready, and when I arrive at the pharmacy they are not. There have been several occasions when I would call and speak to someone directly and ask if I can pick up my prescriptions next day, they say yes, and when I get there the prescriptions have been put back and I have to wait for them to fill them again. It's incredibly frustrating that you cannot rely on the pharmacy to have prescriptions ready when they SAY they will be! read more

Absolutely unacceptable behavior from the CVS pharmacy staff today, July 4th. My 1.5-year-old son was seen at urgent care for a rash he's had for two weeks. We were told to get to the pharmacy before 6 PM, and my fiancé arrived at 5:55 PM. He gave the insurance info to the pharmacy staff before 6, yet the woman at the counter refused to process the prescription, saying she wouldn't run the insurance because it would take a couple minutes and she was done for the day. Let me be clear: she knowingly denied a sick toddler his medication--just so she could leave early. That is beyond unprofessional--it's cruel. A pharmacy is supposed to prioritize health, not convenience for the staff. She was working the evening shift on July 4th, and although I didn't catch her name, I hope CVS management reviews footage between 5:50-6:00 PM to see exactly who was responsible. This deserves serious attention from CVS corporate. You don't treat patients--especially children--this way. read more

I had a great experience at this CVS while picking up some supplements. Everything was in stock and easy to find, but what really stood out was the customer service. The cashier mentioned a promotion--buy one, get another at 50% off--which I hadn't noticed. He let me finish paying and then go back to grab the rest of what I needed. Recently, CVS filled my wife's prescription. The pharmacy properly billed my primary insurance and told me on two separate later visits (one with the pharmacy manager) my secondary insurance did not cover the copay. The pharmacy manager also stated my primary insurance may not allow billing to a secondary insurance. I contacted my secondary insurance, and they confirmed the medication was covered and CVS had not contacted them. On my third visit a pharmacist took the time to "manually" input the required information to bill my secondary insurance successfully. Insist CVS pharmacy " manually" bills your secondary insurance. read more

I picked up a prescription, the young man that cashed me out in the pharmacy was friendly and professional. The store was clean and free of debris inside and out. I did not find Mary Jane's in the candy aisle, unfortunately. I purchased Peanut M&Ms and Reese's pieces. The cashier (Shane) up front was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable regarding my Rewards. Today's experience was pleasant. Thank you to the manager at CVS, well done! The bot that Cvs uses on the phone is the worst I have ever experienced, it has trouble responding correctly to even basic statements. It is very difficult to get transferred to a person which these days is usually a voicemail. The app is also an issue in that it says that perscription will be ready on a certain day and then it is not. read more

I will never get an immune shot from this place again. I needed to get my 2nd shingles shot and the cavalier man who gave it to me caused a reaction, the doctor I saw said, that froze up my hand causing extreme pain due to inflammation. Its been nearly 2 weeks since I got the shot and I still do not have full use of my hand. I highly recommend that you do not use this pharmacy for the purpose of getting any shots. I am rating this location purely on their makeup selection + organization. I honestly would compare this to an Ulta. They have some amazing products and brands I don't typically see at most CVS stores. It was all organized beautifully and of course, I spent way more than intended (not because it was expensive, more so because there was a lot of amazing options). I will say this store did have way more security sensors, so you may have to wait for someone to help get your items. But, the store was clean and fully stocked. I loved seeing their pride section, And Kim Chi makeup line too. If you need makeup, face masks, or hair care this is the location for you! read more

The worst, W. O. R. S. T. pharmacy. Rude staff, confusion, misunderstanding, and SERIOUS MISMANAGEMENT of upcoming refills versus stock on hand. On Thursday, January 2nd I have received a text message alerting me that the prescription due for refill will be auto filled in a few days at CVS Pharmacy (Aliso Viejo store). Checking on the CVS app, it says "OUT OF STOCK. Your store does not currently have this medication in stock. We've ordered this medication for you, and SHOULD have it in stock by your scheduled fill date". However, this only would work, if I'm in Aliso Viejo. But I'm not. I'm currently camping in my motorhome in the middle of the Sonoran desert in Arizona, 72 miles away from the nearest CVS. I am sure the prescription can be ordered, and available at a different store. But then wouldn't it be logical to text me with the address and phone number of that store, so I could call and make a transfer. Easy as that. But they were expecting me to walk in and then tell me where I can go for the pickup. Additionally, if they have the prescription available ON THE DAY of refill due, then that means I am out. Going through the transfer process would take several days leaving me COMPLETELY OUT of pills. They left me high and dry. Well done, CVS pharmacy! You just earned a one star rating adding to the current 2 1/2 star rating. Oh, and to leave and switch to Walgreens. read more

Shook! Came to pick up a prescription mouth wash from my dentist and I have regularly been picking up prescriptions at cvs for years, my insurance has never changed nothing has changed. The pharmacy here is a mess, they had none of my information, and no one else's. 15 people in line, quoting 2 hours for service. I pick my prescriptions up usually down the street off La Paz and pacific park and am always in and out with no problems max 10 minutes. I stood here for 55 minutes watching the pharmacist and the techs working here not know how to do any of their jobs. This was really embarrassing. read more

I had a appointment at 11:50 am and I Arrived 5 mins late. I apologized and asked if I could still be seen. The lady at minuteclinic told me it was fine but 1 patient was ahead of me. I waited a whole 45 mins to hear from the horrible lady that I would not be able to be accommodated for my appointment. I could not believe what I heard, I wasted almost a whole hour to be told that I could not be seen. I will be taking this up with the manager and the way that she was unapologetic had me livid. Not sure what kind of patient care is this. The system is so convoluted that I can't even pick up a prescription from the right location. We are trying to pick up an antibiotic but it is MIA. One location is saying it is in another location. The other location saying it is not there and it is the insurance problem? I can't even call and talk to a live person. I have to leave a message and wait for at least an hour for someone to get back to me. Very disappointed at the system to allow for this kind of patient care. Belated review for my booster shot experience last year. This particular CVS is a 24 hour location, so I got a 9PM appointment (first one available). Bondi administered my booster and I thought he did a great job. My vaccine card was stamped with a clear sticker which had information about the booster and the date received was written. He told me to wait 15 minutes (there were some chairs by the pharmacy) before leaving. I felt fine after sitting for 15 minutes and then left. I wanted to write this review because I think it's important to get the booster. read more

I shopped at CVS Pharmacy 26891 Aliso Creek Road in Aliso Viejo. The place was nice and clean. It was another beautiful sunny day in Spring. I was looking for an Easter card for Diana and I found a nice card for my little rabbit. I know she will love the card. Then I looked for some items for my two kids. For Buddy; I bought him a new 7 month protection collar. For Paisley & Buddy I bought them some specialty foods. From; Perfect Entrée: Two craven chicken dinner; Two Fin-Tastic Primavera. I want to tell my Yelp friends that our two cats are also connoisseur of specialty foods. The cashier was nice and friendly. I paid for the items and left the store. Awful. I have no idea what happened to this pharmacy - they used to be so pleasant and efficient I used to make sure my doctor would send my prescriptions here. Not anymore - the cashier guy at the pharmacy today was so incredibly rude and unpleasant that I almost wanted to say get your manager and check your attitude- it was like I was bothering him by waiting in line to pick up my prescription. Wouldn't say hi - THREW my receipt at me - didn't say bye or a word when I said "Thank you have a nice day." They should really consider doing something about their pharmacy staff - if they hate their job so much they should do something not involving customers. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to and the employees made my life a living nightmare. They took my prescription and then had me wait around for 3 hours when they said it would be thirty minutes. When I went to pick it up they said that they didn't even fill it because their system couldn't find my doctor! Instead of calling me and telling me they weren't filling it I sat around waiting for my script. I literally just got out of surgery and they basically had me sitting in pain without a word of info. The pharmacist at the counter was also rude. My advice is to NEVER go here ever. You can drive literally .2 miles away to Walgreens and go there. I went there after this horrible experience and got my prescription with the most pleasant lady and it took less than 30 minutes. CVS is a corporate joke and they need to treat the customers better. clean store, very friendly staff, good prices, and wonderful selection. So why the low rating? lines. The lines here can get so long that they wrap through the store and there are always plenty of empty check out counters that aren't manned. I don't know if they're just always understaffed or what, but I just feel like things can move much faster than it does. It can get so bad to the point where I will try to go to this location at off hours or even just not make purchases based on the line size. But once you do get up to the counter, the staff is very friendly. So at least there is a payoff for the wait time. read more
