Bell's Pool and Spa

Our pool cleaner comes every single week for a tiny spa/pool but charges $160 every two weeks. For…read morethat amount of money I have texted emailed and called and received no response when a dead bird landed in my pool and I need to know how to chemically treat it. No one responded to me whatsoever. I am willing to write grand reviews for companies that actually respond to its consumers, but this company isn't able to do so for whatever reason though I have left a few voicemails text messages and even an email so I am left to believe that they are more interested in me paying $160 for a spa just to be cleaned and barely treated for maintenance. This is an exorbitant amount of money for a company not to respond to its loyal customer and I'm trying to cut down on the services because I'm now a single mom and I can't get anyone to respond so I'm writing this review.

I have reviewed Bell's Pool and Spa a few times since we began using their services years ago…read more Still, this addition is long overdue. We live right in the middle of the Mountain Fire damage in Camarillo. While our house was spared (for the most part), our pool was a mess. It was filled with leaves, ash, soot, and "volatile organic chemicals" from burned battery acid, asbestos, and such. We were at a loss as to what to do and the County was so inundated with homes burned to the ground, no one could really help with this issues. The Bell's advise early on that the healthiest approach would be to empty the pool and then acid bath (if necessary) and refill. We were able to speak with Marty and Lisa and they assured us that they would get someone as soon as possible. Needless to say, so many home owners were in this same predicament. Tammy came over to clean what she could as soon as service companies were allowed back into the area. She used a pool net and her portable vacuum on a couple of occasions to get the major leaf and burn debris removed. The soot and ash was too fine and couldn't be removed in this manner. We tried our in pool vacuum system but it clogged after three to four sweeps each time. It would have meant cleaning the filter over and over and over again. Josh next came over and assessed the pool and verified that he could empty, acid bath, and refill it and get it back to new. It took one day/overnight of set up to use a sump pump to remove the water and debris. Then he worked washing, rinsing, and acid bathing where necessary. He was here for about nine hours on the second day. He didn't stop until he had everything ready. Josh also got our hoses set up so the refill would begin right away. Bell's can get very busy and sometimes it takes more than one attempt to get through to them; however, time after time they have come through for us.

Our contractor in our community was Travis Jung for some years . Our board decided to change due to the expense Travis was charging our community. Our Property Manager CPM provided Travis 30 days notice. Unfortunately, upon receiving his 30 day notice he quit on the spot . At that time he notified CPM that he must come to the community and pick up his pool chemicals and items. Our community board requested that when Travis came to the community to pick up his belongings that it was request requested to contact one of our board members so that we could be there. Unfortunately, this did not happen and he arrived at a time of his choosing without contact contacting anyone in this community. In addition, he unplugged the pipes and turned off our pumping system and the power was off making it impossible for me to go into the spa. I live in an HOA. run community managed by CPM so I'm sure they work with them all the time . So I am appealing to both CPM and the greater community to not hire an individual that would destroy your property if he does not like the news he is delivered.

If a technician can't complete the job, a reputable company normally:…read more 1. documents the visit 2. notifies the homeowner 3. explains why service couldn't be completed None of that happened. I let the company know that there were cobwebs in between the larger basin of the pool and the Infiniti section and that the debris looked like it was from a week, not from four days ago. I asked another Pool professional to come over and take a look at it and he did and I decided to switch my service and I told Camarillo Pool that it was because I lost my job because I wanted it to end it cleanly without argument. What Camarillo with them where did is a common defensive move in service businesses: 1. Deflect - "We've never had complaints about Darrell." 2 itMinimize - "It's just wind debris." 3. Personalize - bringing up your job situation. 4. Blame the customer - implying I'm unreasonable. None of those address the actual issue: whether the service occurred. I asked them to come back and inspect themselves and to complete the service and then I'll pay the invoice. Otherwise I'm not paying and nor should I have to. This is not a way to conduct business and I am appalled that I've been told about the track record of one service member instead of my concerns and my request being addressed. What a joker e.

In today's world, they've captured a lost art. All the way around, good ole fashioned business values with this company, no doubt. I'd like to give kudos to Francisco Morales a Technician at Camarillo Pool Service. He is and has been so detail oriented in the past services including today. Francisco is respectful and very professional and is time/work efficient. In filter cleaning he is meticulous. He is also highly respectful to one's property and pets in ensuring the gates are closed and locked after the service. Francisco is appears to be a great asset to Camarillo Pool Services that reflects well to your Team. Great job! Thank you CPS!
