Our pool cleaner comes every single week for a tiny spa/pool but charges $160 every two weeks. For that amount of money I have texted emailed and called and received no response when a dead bird landed in my pool and I need to know how to chemically treat it. No one responded to me whatsoever. I am willing to write grand reviews for companies that actually respond to its consumers, but this company isn't able to do so for whatever reason though I have left a few voicemails text messages and even an email so I am left to believe that they are more interested in me paying $160 for a spa just to be cleaned and barely treated for maintenance. This is an exorbitant amount of money for a company not to respond to its loyal customer and I'm trying to cut down on the services because I'm now a single mom and I can't get anyone to respond so I'm writing this review. read more

I have reviewed Bell's Pool and Spa a few times since we began using their services years ago. Still, this addition is long overdue. We live right in the middle of the Mountain Fire damage in Camarillo. While our house was spared (for the most part), our pool was a mess. It was filled with leaves, ash, soot, and "volatile organic chemicals" from burned battery acid, asbestos, and such. We were at a loss as to what to do and the County was so inundated with homes burned to the ground, no one could really help with this issues. The Bell's advise early on that the healthiest approach would be to empty the pool and then acid bath (if necessary) and refill. We were able to speak with Marty and Lisa and they assured us that they would get someone as soon as possible. Needless to say, so many home owners were in this same predicament. Tammy came over to clean what she could as soon as service companies were allowed back into the area. She used a pool net and her portable vacuum on a couple of occasions to get the major leaf and burn debris removed. The soot and ash was too fine and couldn't be removed in this manner. We tried our in pool vacuum system but it clogged after three to four sweeps each time. It would have meant cleaning the filter over and over and over again. Josh next came over and assessed the pool and verified that he could empty, acid bath, and refill it and get it back to new. It took one day/overnight of set up to use a sump pump to remove the water and debris. Then he worked washing, rinsing, and acid bathing where necessary. He was here for about nine hours on the second day. He didn't stop until he had everything ready. Josh also got our hoses set up so the refill would begin right away. Bell's can get very busy and sometimes it takes more than one attempt to get through to them; however, time after time they have come through for us. read more

I am sorry to do this - I hate leaving bad reviews but I have tried multiple times to get someone to reply to my messages and I have been completely ignored. Our pool is green and has not been taken care of well at all and I cannot get anyone to return my calls. I am so frustrated as it has been weeks and our pool is full of algae! read more

Avoid! Do not do business with this company. I have used them for years and they were fine. Then starting this year they are falling apart. Our pool tech quit and they had another guy replace him. The replacement only lasted two weeks before he quit. Another tech arrived and was great, but only lasted a month before he quit. Bells pool doesn't take care of the customer and employees are constantly changing...likely because of how this company is run. No one EVER calls you back, returns a text or email. read more

Wow Bryan when all else fails lie.Tou are the absolute worst pool installer/contractor ( if you license is active) You have no integrity WHAT SO EVER. If you say you will be at a home to continue work or start work I know from experience it usually is a no call no show. You left our back yard in SHAMBLES for a year.So you don't have a drop of integrity to even fess up to your own work. Shame on you. So this company has been a life saver! We purchased our home a little over a year ago and we are first time pool people. They were only $20 more than the pool guy that came with the house. He was a cool dude but he didn't have time for our pool. Bells pool was able to come out and get our pool from the black lagoon to clean and clear in days. They are always on time, you get notifications when they are coming and when they finished. They have a text number you can send request for suggestions, complaints and to have the maintenance guy come to fix something. They also install all pool equipment and will even register your new components for their warranty. Hands down am so happy with these guys! Highly recommend!! read more

Josh came to fix my pool heater after someone else quoted me $3500 to fix my heater. Josh was so efficient and helpful. He really took his time with diagnosing my heater, he spent a good 45 min trying to figure out what was wrong with it. He suggested the part that I need to fix it and with $15 spent on Amazon in ordered the part and fixed it myself. Bells pool service is the best. Highly recommend and josh is an excellent employee!! Bell's has been taking care of our salt water pool for several years. They used to be reliable, but over the past two or so years, their service has been going steadily downhill. The weekly cleaning consists of a five minute visit, if the team shows up at all. The salt cell isn't maintained per contract; the red warning light has been on for months and it is covered in cob webs. Instead of maintaining the cell, they periodically dump a bunch of chlorine in the pool. The only way to get the services we pay for is to call and complain. Repeatedly. read more

Bell's Pool and Spa is the best pool service we have used, they have been servicing our pool for over five years. They spend the time to check all filters, vacuum, sweep, clean the surface and check the chemicals. We have used several other pool services who would abbreviate the weekly cleaning and sometimes be in and out of our yard within 5-10 minutes. Bell's always takes the time to do a good job and if something breaks down with the pool equipment they have the resources to repair it. I always refer Bell's to anyone who asks. read more

Our pool guy before calling Bell's would complain, skip weeks (no call no show - pool would turn green), even towards the end brought his dad to check some things that weren't even broken (we had someone check for us). Him not showing up was the best thing that happened to my pool! My wife called several companies and Bell's responded promptly and provided reasonable pricing. We needed a pump in our fountain replaced after we did some electrical work and discovered our pump was a goner. We needed it replaced quickly as we had to be prepared for Sunday service.
