Most were good , some not in regard to price and effectiveness of repairs. About 10 years ago I saw David's truck out front of a neighbor's home. I gave him a call to set up an appointment. He came over and told me exactly what the problem was, the price and when he was available. His price was competitive and lower than others I had used in the past. Over the years he has provided professional, quality and technical service. Once I had a variety of problems he walked me through which I should fix first then perhaps wait on the others. In the end he fixed it completely. He's a patient listener, kind and extremely knowledgeable due to his long years of experience. He schooled me as to which chemicals to buy to maintain my spa. I most recently saw that my spa was leaking. I called him and he came right over the next day. Of course the spa was suddenly completely dry and showed no leaks. He had me fill the tub to its proper level of water. Suddenly it started leaking. He located the problem and fixed it I very highly recommend David for any of your spa needs.

No one responded to me whatsoever. I am willing to write grand reviews for companies that actually respond to its consumers, but this company isn't able to do so for whatever reason though I have left a few voicemails text messages and even an email so I am left to believe that they are more interested in me paying $160 for a spa just to be cleaned and barely treated for maintenance. This is an exorbitant amount of money for a company not to respond to its loyal customer and I'm trying to cut down on the services because I'm now a single mom and I can't get anyone to respond so I'm writing this review.

I have reviewed Bell's Pool and Spa a few times since we began using their services years ago…read more Still, this addition is long overdue. We live right in the middle of the Mountain Fire damage in Camarillo. While our house was spared (for the most part), our pool was a mess. It was filled with leaves, ash, soot, and "volatile organic chemicals" from burned battery acid, asbestos, and such. We were at a loss as to what to do and the County was so inundated with homes burned to the ground, no one could really help with this issues. The Bell's advise early on that the healthiest approach would be to empty the pool and then acid bath (if necessary) and refill. We were able to speak with Marty and Lisa and they assured us that they would get someone as soon as possible. Needless to say, so many home owners were in this same predicament. Tammy came over to clean what she could as soon as service companies were allowed back into the area. She used a pool net and her portable vacuum on a couple of occasions to get the major leaf and burn debris removed. The soot and ash was too fine and couldn't be removed in this manner. We tried our in pool vacuum system but it clogged after three to four sweeps each time. It would have meant cleaning the filter over and over and over again. Josh next came over and assessed the pool and verified that he could empty, acid bath, and refill it and get it back to new. It took one day/overnight of set up to use a sump pump to remove the water and debris. Then he worked washing, rinsing, and acid bathing where necessary. He was here for about nine hours on the second day. He didn't stop until he had everything ready. Josh also got our hoses set up so the refill would begin right away. Bell's can get very busy and sometimes it takes more than one attempt to get through to them; however, time after time they have come through for us.

We got quotes from several pool remodeling companies and Smart Swim came in right in the middle. We are strong believers on "you get what you pay for," and opted to go with them even though they were not the cheapest. From beginning to end, the guys at Smart Swim were easy to work with and truly wanted our project to come out great. After 30 years, it was time for our pool to have a remodel! Through the remodel, it was uncovered that we had many severe leaks, down to the rebar that needed to be fixed in some areas. Sam was great at making sure we understood the severity and that we were okay with any new costs that needed to be added. Not only did they do our pool, but also installed turf by the pool area and put pavers all around the pool and yard area. We also got the new gray gate installed from them as well, to replace the wooden fence in the yard (between the pool). **Noting that the perimeter wall/wooden top was painted black and sanded/stained by a different company.
