My husband And I are locals and we love this place, for a treat qhen on Siesta Key. Just go for the powdered or cinnamon sugar and skip the fruit or chocolate. We ususally have them mix the two. Amazing when warm! read more

YOU MUST STOP AT THIS SHACK. Don't let the appearance turn you away. This little place made its case for the best donuts I've ever had. We stopped here on a whim and got an order of the chocolate coconut donuts and some coffee. The coffee was surprisingly fresh, bold, and non-acidic. But the donuts... okay so most places have their donuts premade and in the window, but Meaney's will prepare them to order. After ordering the employee took some fresh donuts out of the fryer, covered them in fresh chocolate fondue, and then covered them all in coconut flakes before serving them on a skewer. This is such a unique experience we had to document it on my wife's social media. They put a lot into the donuts here and it's worth your time. The quality of the donuts is unrivaled. They have the perfect texture, being crispy (not hard) and soft on the inside but full of flavor with the fresh chocolate and coconut. We will be back probably every day for the rest of this trip. Found this little box of a shop while wandering through siesta key village post brunch. As the name says, the USP of the spot is the tiny donuts about the size of a quarter. They have about 7-8 different flavors and the best part is you can mix and match to try the variety. Half a dozen donuts will cost you around $4 depending on the flavor so its not a bad bargain. I tried a combination of the strawberry cheesecake and bavarian creme flavored minis and both were very good. Since they are a bunch of little donuts the portions are excellent for sharing as well. This place is so aptly named. The service wasn't great - and a smile was not on the menu - but the donuts were delicious. For $3.50 you get 12 little donuts freshly fried before your eyes and covered in your choice of powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar. Fresh, hot, and melt-in-your-mouth divine! There are other even more delectable options on the menu covered in chocolate or sprinkled with coconut...a bit too rich for my taste but I can only imagine how delicious they'd be!! Update: The employee from my previous review no longer works there. I went back and the staff was much better. I like this place. I am a Seista Key local and I visit here regularly. This would've been a 4 or 5 star review had it not been for a particular staff member and the extremely unprofessional interaction I had with said staff member. My fiancée and I went here on 10/21/2017 at 6:00pm. When we walked up to the window a colleged aged male said to me "Halloween must have come early... because you are beautiful" He proceeded to tell me that "he was not gay but likes to compliment the boyfriends instead of the girlfriends so they throw him an extra couple bucks on his tip". Apparently that sarcastic remark was supposed to be a compliment. I placed my order of a milkshake and six donuts. He said "I'm going to throw you some stuff extra donuts because your girl looks like she's going to eat them all... just kidding bro. I'll hook you up but don't forget about my tip". Then when he was making my milkshake he said "hey bro make sure you kick me a phat a$$ tip". Then when he was running my credit card he said "I like you guys. I can usually tell when I can joke with people. But sometimes I joke with people and they get really pissed off" He continued to elaborate saying "I compliment old ladies and tell them how sexy they are and they drop that money in the tip jar... I am a savage bro. I make like $200 a day here". I don't think I need to bother explaining how unprofessional this experience is. But I did give the kid a $2 tip... so i went to the henna kiosk in the building (owned by the same people that own mini donuts) and they told me it was made out of all natural strawberries... well i'm not allergic to strawberries and i've had a reaction to this as you can see. i've had henna done before and never had a problem, i haven't changed any of my daily routines (use of body wash, shampoo ,etc.) turns out there's something called PPD in this henna, basically the same stuff in hair dye, in which most people (if applied to skin) have a reaction to i wouldn't recommend getting a henna there unless you are COMPLETELY sure you are not allergic to any ingredients. and i think they should tell some people that it really isn't all natural so they can avoid any unhappy customers. other than that i was really happy with the service read more

Meaney's Mini Donuts where have you been all my life!!! I need to buy a franchise and open it in my yard so I can eat these every day. These minis are surprisingly soft and not overly sweet. They offer mouth watering flavors like raspberry cheesecake, carrot cake and Boston creme. We purchased 6 minis and ate 3 each - just enough to satisfy our Meaney's Mini Donut craving. The shop is super tiny so keep your eye out for it near the street corner. There's a gazebo with lots of seating right across the street to sit and enjoy your treats. I was driving past this place at approximately 6:12PM. We immediately veered off our path and pulled over. I places an order at 6:16 - 6 cinnamon sugar donuts and a vanilla milkshake. They were ready at approximately 6:20. At 6:22 my head exploded. We then went back and ordered the bavarian cream ones. At 6:26 I finally left that parking lot - 3 donuts and half a milkshake down. I began this review immediately following (its 6:30pm) What a a beautiful experience. The cinnamon sugar was excellent, but i tend to prefer simplicity. This spot is nestled in the center of a lot of action in siesta key. HIGHLY recommend. read more

There is no doubt the minis are delicious. My wife an I stood in line for 20 minutes last night, there was a group of 4 ahead of us placing orders. When we get to the counter about 5 minutes before closing, the girl told us "I just served my last customer" I wish she was more customer service oriented and made that announcement 20 minutes earlier so we wouldn't have wasted our time standing in line. We got the basic cinnamon with no toppings but I'd try the fancier ones too. This is a small place with window service only which makes its quick and convenient.
