I made an unplanned visit a couple of days ago to this Jack's Donuts. The place was clean, lots of purple, and not busy. I decided on a couple of donuts, a Glazed and a Bavarian Crème that had chocolate on top, and a small coffee. Turned out on the day I was there you get a free donut when you purchase a coffee. The donuts were large. The glazed wasn't as airy as you may find elsewhere but it was sweet and fine. The other donut was excellent, lots of chocolate and inside there was lots of crème. I liked them both. Service was good, the person may not have been a bubbling over with joy individual but interacted very well with me and other customers that came in later while I sat at one of their tables enjoying my food. Yes, there was a 4% service charge, probably credit card related, that was not disclosed anywhere except maybe on the payment screen. Normally I would rant about that and even take away a star, but looking at my receipt it only cost me 18 cents so I'm not going to care very much this time. read more

I don't know what happened to this place. But this morning I pull up in the drive thru and the place was dark! It was 6:38 AM I noticed someone sitting at the window. I began to read the summer hours and all of a sudden a woman opened the window. She waited on me with the lights still off! she appeared to be in pain from how she was moving! Gwen. My coffee was soooooo sweet. And the sour cream doughnut was not good. I would have went back and returned it but I did not have time. These doughnuts used to be amazing! There are several things I liked and a few I didn't. They have a really nice assortment with several cool and unusual choices. The donuts are really large and I didn't have any issues with the amount of filling in mine. The service was very good. The negatives are as another reviewer mentioned that the texture of their donuts is dense and cake like as opposed to light and fluffy. I ordered 3 different donuts and they placed them tightly (sideways) in a bag so when I got home, all of the icing on one had come off and was sticking to the bag. I would give them another chance but I suspect that nothing is going to change regarding the density of their donuts which doesn't work for me. The other issue is easily corrected by putting all orders that have icing, flat in a box instead of a bag. read more

The donuts here are excellent price is fair however they are never open on time does not matter what day of the week you go if they're supposed to be there at 6:30 they are not if they are supposed to be there at seven. They are not I watched them lose at least five customers this morning save your gas and go somewhere else. read more

Good selection of donuts. Worker was not friendly at all. No small talk at all, even when trying to initate it. Didn't have any patience when trying to select donuts. Charge included a 4% service fee. When I asked what it was, she said it was for using the machine. Wasn't posted anywhere and when I asked about it, she said (everyone does it). When I said I don't (I also have customer facing businesses), she brushed it off with an unnecessary comment. When I tried to print my receipt, she hit a button so the screen went away. I said, "I needed my receipt". She acted put out that she needed to print one for me. Will find another place for donuts if I ever visit this area again. read more

They were out of all but 4 kinds of donuts at 9:45am on a Sunday, I'm not sure how they were supposed to be open until 2 pm... We got some anyway and the apple fritter was completely raw in the center!! The tiger tail was also partially raw. The oil tasted old like it's been reused too many times. Two stars because the building had a drive through and I love the convenience of that! Otherwise, no no no. The donuts tasted like old oil, just plain bread, and stale. I LOVEEEE donuts so this one was hard for me to accept haha. The inside of the place looked clean and bright but that was just from my point of view in the drive through. The service was average and when I asked for a menu or just general help, I wasn't given that. I won't be back. Too many great donut options out there to waste time on this place. read more

Good donuts with easy location to get in and out of on SR 70. Some variety but maybe not as much as Turner's Donuts.

The lady seemed nice enough that works there but these things are like hockey pucks. Usually I like some apple in my fritter but ok times are tough I guess. Blaring Madonna music didnt help either . First and last visit here. Thanks for playing I'll see my way out. read more

My third visit did not change my opinion of my first two visits. Donuts are big and pricey. On my first visit I tried the jelly filled. I am still looking for the jelly. My second visit I tried other flavors, nothing special that was any better than super market fare. My third and last visit I purchased 1/2 Doz. And an apple fritter. The fritter was just ok, certainly not worth the price. In my assortment I once again tried jelly filled (see photo). Once again it was like white bread with very little filling as compared to the size of the donut. Not happy. The staff was nice. Its just the product. read more

Very clean. Service was very friendly. Donut was good. Iced coffee machine was very very very slow. Took about 10 min to make 2 coffees.

These donuts have a very much dry cake like texture. Not really like donut texture. I was the only one at first so service was quick. Location on tamiami is large and not really for staying and have a coffee and pastry. Location on SR-70 is location of previous donut businesses that didn't make it small more like takeout only. Might give another try, but like a lot of other common food items, you just can't find a REAL (good) donut anywhere. read more

I've tried this place 3 times since they opened because they are so close to my house. The first couple times I thought it was the worker and maybe she just didn't make them right. They are big but they are gross. Most of the time they taste like dense rolls with icing on them. Too much of a bread taste without the sweetness and lightness of a doughnut. Their menu lists a variety of drinks. Every time we have tried to order something they say their machine is down and all they have is coffee. This has been over a span of at-least 9-12 months now. Why not take it off your menu if the "machine" is never going to work. Lastly and most importantly, what drives me to write this review the most is the employees. Or rather just the one older, hateful woman there. She has been every time we have gone with terrible customer service. She acts like you're inconveniencing her if you pull up to order or ask questions. She tells you to come inside rather than describe some of the options while there is literally no one else there. Her entire demeanor is off putting and even if the doughnuts were even relatively good I wouldn't be back. I was hoping this last time she would no longer be there since it had been a while since my last visit. I can't wait until this one shuts down and another new doughnut place goes in. read more

these donuts are pretty good. not as light and fluffy as a fresh Krispy Kreme, but good. we order them for work a few times a month and they are a fun choice. I wish they were a bit smaller, but okay. read more
