Why did this place absolutely blow us away??…read more We came because we were hungry but didn't want to go to a chain but we didn't want a whole meal so we figured we'd just get a snack here. We walked in and there were some older people eating, some families, the whole place is so unassuming and home-like, in a way that wasn't very inspiring or promising. We got the Mediterranean salad and a side of fries. Sort of a whatever order. How good could it be? Absolutely incredible. I bit into the chicken breast expecting dry, unseasoned rubber. Wrong. Beautiful, warm, fresh, tender, juicy, delicious chicken. The rest of the salad was also so, so great. And the dressing! Pink! Homemade! I need a gallon! The fries were also delightful, they were those good ones that are extra crispy. Go here now! Come here often! Try everything! I can't wait to be back!

I strongly caution anyone considering purchasing food from RONC. I worked for this company for two years and personally witnessed numerous alarming practices that raise serious concerns about food safety, employee treatment, and overall business ethics. Food Safety Concerns: Expired milk and food are sold to customers. Gloves are reused between tasks instead of being changed, leading to unsanitary conditions. Food is not properly labeled with expiration dates, and old food is reheated and falsely advertised as "homemade" despite being store-bought. Donut glaze is reused, and frozen food is stored for over a year but still sold. Papers used for donuts are reused, mold has been found in chocolate sauces, and I have personally seen blue plastic pieces (from oil contamination) and hair in products. Donuts that have fallen on the floor are picked up and sold instead of being discarded. The so-called "fresh" donuts are not actually fresh. They are made the night before, starting around 6 PM, and delivered to the store by 10 PM for the next morning's shift. Unethical Business Practices & Employee Treatment: Pay stubs were delayed for over a month, and when I finally received them, the first five months did not match the second batch. This delay prevented me from applying for essential assistance, which resulted in the loss of crucial health insurance, dental coverage, phone service, and financial support for my daughter. I was threatened with not being paid when I refused to reuse old ingredients. The owner openly admitted to only hiring women because they "clean better," which is both discriminatory and unprofessional. The owner is currently attempting to interfere with my unemployment claim by refusing to provide proof of my layoff unless I drop a subpoena related to my case. This type of coercion is highly unethical and, in my opinion, potentially illegal. These issues demonstrate a blatant disregard for food safety, employee rights, and customer trust. I worry that it is only a matter of time before someone gets seriously sick due to these negligent practices. If you value honest business practices, proper food handling, and fair treatment of employees, I strongly encourage you to think twice before supporting this establishment. read more

** Ronc's / Ronchini's Italian Cafe** Walked in just for coffee. Walked out questioning every donut decision I've ever made in my life. Ronc's wasn't lying when they said "all donuts are not created equally" -- these are made fresh from scratch and hand-cut, and you can tell within one bite that this isn't gas-station-donut-case energy. Ivana kept it classy with a bagel and cream cheese, while I went full croissant -- warm, flaky, and basically just butter doing yoga. 10/10. Then came the coconut latte. Friends, I don't even like coconut and I was sad when it was gone. The coffee in general? Genuinely good, not "fine for a donut shop" good. And the finale: a chocolate Bavarian cream donut that should honestly require a waiver before you order it. Family owned, clearly passionate about what they make, and friendly enough that you forget you're about to need a nap from the sugar. We will absolutely be back -- probably too often. read more
