I ended up buying a container of her Red Lentil soup - which was delicious! I came back and bought a couple of single serving soups (that is all she had available at that moment). I purchased a Turkey meatball soup - and a Chicken-Vegetable soup. Both were outstanding! They sell a variety of other locally sourced, healthy food options. They also offer cooking classes. When we finally had the chance to connect, Christine said that she would reach out to me with an initial proposal based on what we've discussed within 2 weeks. Well, a month went by and after multiple follow ups and no proposal was sent, I decided to book another caterer. It was funny because I specifically remember during our call, Christine had even made a comment that she has not worked at my wedding venue probably because they were probably "too expensive" for some people. I honestly think it's their lack of communication and their inability to follow up because if one can't communicate well planning wise, how can a potential client see them being able to handle a whole wedding? My fiance and I set aside a huge budget for food as it was so important to us for our guest to have exquisite food and we would have definitely book them regardless of cost, but unfortunately, Bluewater missed out. I totally understand having a busy season, but there were multiple people from Bluewater Kitchen CC'd on the emails that I had sent, and no one responded. Other vendors that were booked for my wedding also had a busy season but I had no problems working with them around that. I'm a patient person so if someone had responded and said that they are in the middle of busy season and that they would follow up with me (and actually follow up) afterwards, I would have totally fine with it. I would not recommend them to friends or family unfortunately. Hopefully, they figure out a better process around this.

The menu included wonderful appetizers for our cocktail hour (the bacon-wrapped scallops were the bomb!) and a very nice combination of main courses with seasonal vegetables for the dinner. Everything was prepared meticulously and served efficiently by her gracious staff. Even their bartender was very professional and friendly to all our guests. Ordinarily, my sister has to eat some uniquely prepared item or some fraction of what everyone else can eat - Aubree ensured that she could eat each item on the menu. This delighted my sister even before her first bite - and the happiness only increased from there. I personally am so excited I found it. Lynn, the owner, has a small buffet set up with different things each day. Today, she had potato chip chicken strips, cabbage, green beans, egg rolls, broccoli, garlic bread, mushrooms, and a few other things. She also has a refrigerated section with sandwiches, fruit, drinks, and today there was also lasagna. Lynn's prices are crazy cheap!! The sandwiches are only $2.50 and the fruit is $2. A can of soda is only $0.50 (and they even had cranberry Sprite- so good and hard to find) and bottles were only a buck!! Her buffet was 3.75$ for a small to go box and $7 for a large to go box. It's also a little shop with a nail salon attached. She has various jewelry and handbags, hairbands and scarves! It's a cool place! Just go check it out:)
