When they charged me $10.50 instead, I questioned it. One cashier (female with reddish hair) walked over so I could show her the displayed price. She acknowledged that the price was, in fact, shown as $9, then kept shrugging her shoulders and repeating, "I don't know what to tell you." I told her that I should be given $1.50 refund, and she said they couldn't do that. She just kept shrugging and saying she didn't know what to tell me. Me, and all 7 family members that were with me, were shocked at the fact that she didn't seem to care and at the fact that they could not, according to her, give me a refund for the difference. I ended up walking out, but then realized that I should get a picture of the displayed price tags. I immediately (within seconds) went back in, but the cashier had already ripped the price tags down. The cashier who had rung up my purchase (female with multi-colored hair) saw me and basically scolded me for not coming to her about the issue - she was with other customers, though. ? When I walked back over to the counter, both female cashiers told me that things ring up the wrong price ALL THE TIME and there is nothing they can do. They said that the price stickers might have been from last year. It's not the $1.50 that is the issue. It is the COMPLETE LACK OF CARE of the employees that has me stunned. They did NOT care AT ALL. To them, it was just standard operating procedure. We will not be purchasing anything from Party City in the future. The staff at this store definitely needs trained on how to do their jobs.
