Ed and Wei are the best. Ed is a balloon artist and Wei is an extremely detail-oriented party planner. The store has everything so come prepared to browse. Ed's designed my balloons for a decade. Never mind an arch, he's made balloon sculptures- basketballs, PacMan and Ghosts, suspended cloud formations, candles, pencils, crayon box and crayons, french fries, popcorn in box. Amazing balloon artist. As a team they deliver a high-end, well designed product. Always on time and they honor a budget . If you are lucky enough to work with Ed and Wei be a good client. From the outside, Party Mania doesn't look like much, but they have every item you could possibly need for a party. The store is tightly packed, but the sales people know the inventory and right where to find anything you need. Their balloon selection is the best I have seen, and the prices are reasonable. We had used Ed for our huge preschool graduation ceremony for the last few years, and considered ourselves a good customer. We ordered an arch from him again for June of this year. The balloon arch was delivered and before we knew it, the person who delivered it left. Approximately 5 minutes later the arch is down on the ground, broken, and we can see the inside of the arch is completely off the track. We called and called and when we finally got someone on the phone who literally couldnt care less, I asked to speak to Ed. (For background, this is a huge event for our school) I could hear Ed yelling in the background that he was not going to talk to me because he already talked to someone else from my business. I needed to talk to him because I needed to figure out how I could get the balloons back up before the ceremony started. We came back and tried to fix it ourselves by taping the balloons up ourselves. Balloons are popping at this point. Ed finally comes and does the same thing, trying to make this lousy excuse for a decoration stay up. As he's leaving, we said "we are definitely going to get a refund, right?" And he waved his hand and said, "I'll give you a credit or something next year." The complete disregard was unbelievable. Throughout the graduation, the balloons popped and the stick underneath was visible. Photos attached. Buyer beware! They charge an outrageous amount for filling air in balloons. When we decided not to have the balloons filled they charged us an 8% "restocking fee " for literally nothing. That is dishonest! When I told them it was illogical because we got nothing they pivoted to another lie saying it was a credit card fee when in fact there was no purchase. Do not bother with this store. The staff is rude, there is no manager to speak of, and the staff in the store would not give me any contact information for anyone that could make a decision. I tried to make a return of an unopened item. No indication in the store or on the receipt that it couldn't be returned, but the person at the register flat out refused. Then she tended to 3 customers while claiming to contact the manager who was supposedly on vacation. I asked who owned the store and she refused to give me any contact information. Everything looked great and all of the balloons lasted the whole night and we could even use them 2 days later at an elementary school party with minimal wear. Hadn't been here before but called ahead and they were able to fill two Mylar balloons purchased elsewhere. I got there early and was told it'd be a 5-10 minute wait, which was perfectly fine. The price, $12+, seemed steep but didn't have an alternative. I paid in cash and while I waited I realized I didn't get my change of 28 cents, which I found odd. Ultimately I asked for my change and they didn't have any pennies. More than anything I just found that whole exchange strange. I got my balloons the guy that gave them to me, same person who did get my change, was very polite. The store itself had a bit of everything--it was a a busy space, not in terms of people but in volume of what they had. It was mostly well maintained but there were definitely several things out that looked open or damaged. In a general sense you'll get what you need. read more

DO NOT GET BALLOONS filled here. We gave them 3 dozens balloons to be filled. Picked them up in bags. Opened the bags at the party hall and 7 or them never floated from the start. Rest were on the floor in hours. Very disappointed as we did not have enough balloons to complete our decoration that we had planned. Glad I found it on yelp without having to trudge around town trying to find a party city! They seemed to have a decent collection of other party supplies too - maybe not as big as party city tho .. One downside, I did not see a lot of Halloween stuff around, and you would think this would be the perfect time! "PARTY MANIA" will have you feeling like you walked into a storage room of a early 1990s party supply overstock. It is dark no music playing -the cashier looks dead lol . Everything is just old :( This place could really be great ( seeing as though there are no other party stores in this are ) if they would put some effort into updating this place. I was hoping it would be similar to party city/party depot but it is much smaller and their Halloween section was very small. We couldn't even find a Halloween sign for our door... He also connected me with Ed, one of the owners of the store so that I could order a balloon garland needed in 3 days. While I don't shop here for everyday party supplies, I've used this store multiple times for balloon orders. They are the only place that delivers (to my knowledge). It costs about $30 but totally worth it in my opinion. Ever tried to cram 75 latex balloons in your car? Each time I've used them they have been pleasant on the phone. Excellent store with even better customer service! Not sure as to why some of the reviews says this place was "dreary" or "limited" in party supplies. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. I stopped by here out of convenience one early afternoon mid-week after learning once I got to the shopping center that Sports Authority was closed (when did this happen?!). I've visited this place before a few years ago for some balloons and plates but the customer service was slightly below average so I was a bit hesitant going back. It wasn't bad, just...blah. I have a couple small get-togethers lined up in the coming weeks for football and Labor Day and figured I would take a peek and see what they had. As soon as I walked in, I felt very welcomed. A nice young man greeted me right away and asked if I needed any help finding anything. I know it may seem like a common practice in retail stores, but it is surprisingly more and more rare to be greeted at an establishment that way. I almost always have a hard time finding store employees whenever I have a question. Not at this place, though. There was only one employee working at the time and even though there were a couple other shoppers, he was able to tend to everyone efficiently in a friendly manner. I even overheard one woman as she was walking out thank him repeatedly for something he did that he didn't have to do? Not sure what he did, but the woman seemed very thankful. Just hearing that made me even more confident in shopping there. Looked around for a bit and realized I had no idea what I was looking for! There are a million and a half things to see in there! I was embarrassed to ask for help as he looked very busy working the register and inflating helium balloons. Luckily, the look on my face gave me away and he asked again if I needed any suggestions in picking anything out. He was very helpful and I know it's his job to up-sell, but I didn't feel pressured to keep adding items in my basket. I was impressed with the amount of knowledge he had with the products given the amount of different items they have. I suspect the store is under new management or ownership because I don't remember having this level of customer service during my last visit. Anyway, I walked out spending a bit more than I had expected (I forget sometimes how expensive hosting parties can be!) but the store has just earned another regular customer! If it's the first time you walk in to the store you might feel a little overwhelm for all the stuff they have in store. Just go ahead and ask anyone who works there like I did if you need help. For a party store, this location was pretty sad and dreary. It was dimly lit and had a limited selection. While the location is in a strip mall close to the Tysons Corner Mall, which is why we stopped because I needed to pick up a few decorations to hang up in a friend's house following her wedding, there wasn't much to pick from and they pretty much had the bare minimum. While I was able to grab a few things, it certainly wasn't what I was originally looking for and I would have liked to have bought more things, but they just didn't have a lot of variety or a large number of items to pick from. Having been to Party Mania, I certainly wouldn't go back compared to the much wider selection and brighter shopping experience at a store like Party City where there are aisles upon aisles of items to pick from, whereas this store was very narrow and I honestly don't think it had more than 3 aisles. read more

I experienced a nasty attitude from the salesperson helping me today! It was evident that he didn't want to be at work. When I began asking A question about the balloons he seemed to be getting frustrated. I was trying to decide which ones I wanted to purchase without his help, that's when he began to get a nasty attitude. FOR NO REASON! As he began blowing them up, I was looking at an item next to time and wasn't aware that he had finished with my order. A customer walked up and he began up ring her up. I was appalled because I was standing right there and instead of asking me if I want ready, he decided to ring up the other customer. I pretty much said to him that I was in line first and he goes "fine, I'll ring you up." He was such a little ass. That's what you get for hiring kids!
