We have been using Hop on Pops for over 3 years for moonbounce and party supply rentals, such as cotton candy and popcorn machines, as well as extra tables and chairs. The prices are reasonable and the service is prompt! We have rented the basic moonbounce (15'x15') and obstacle course moonbounces, all of them come clean and ready to use (once they're inflated of course). I've heard from friends who have rented from other companies that there was trash, etc. in their moonbounce which they had to clean. This is NOT the case with Hop on Pops, their items come clean and ready to go. Our items have always comes on time, if not extremely early. Our last rental was in May 2012 and the moonbounce came one day early (no extra charge) due to our party's schedule early the next morning. My kids were ecstatic - and so were the adults who got some time to play before the kid's birthday party. I find Hop on Pops cost effective and reliable- which is very important since you never want a late moonbounce for a 2-3 hour kid's party- then it's just pure anarchy! read more

We rented a very large water slide in June for my son's birthday. Less than an hour after it was inflated, the back zipper broke open on the bounce house and the whole thing collapsed -- with our 3-year-old stuck inside. It was terrifying. Fortunately, our little boy was the only one using the slide at the time, we were standing in front of the slide monitoring him when it happened, and were able to quickly climb inside and get him out after he fell. He was using the slide as instructed and no one tampered with the slide -- the zipper just burst with a loud pop while he was sitting on the unit. We initially couldn't get anyone on the phone from the company, and when we finally got did, the gentleman was curt and less than apologetic. I used Hop on Pops again one year after my previous post for my son's 4th birthday. We rented a blow-up waterslide, a moonbounce, 25 chairs, 5 tables, and a 10' canopy...all for around $600. They knocked off some serious money for me because I told them what I wanted, and because I was a repeat customer. The customer service did whatever they could to help, including tailoring their costs to a competitor's. The best part- the whole thing was done via email - all contact and the contract etc., which is huge to me because I HATE talking on the phone. Great experience, they showed up on time and set everything up real quick. Service on the phone was really great as well. My only issue was that they didn't pick up that evening when they said they would, they picked up the next evening. Not really a problem, I mean we got to have a moonbounce for an extra day. But we were worried that we might get charged extra so I had to call them and ask them what was going on. They said the guy who was coming to pick it up couldn't get down the driveway, which is fine. We have rented from Hop on Pop's for each of my daughters 10 birthdays. Starting with your standard moon bounce when she was a toddler, to a giant double waterslide the last few years. The best thing I can say about them is that I never think about them. We schedule them and on the day of the party, when there are a thousand things to do, they always show up on time with everything as promised and take everything away when we are done. I never worry. Tried calling multiple times and the automated service kept hanging up on me!

BEWARE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE"! We rented from Hop on Pops Moonbounce company on (this past) Saturday, July 28, 2012. Although my friend (the purchaser) had a lengthy conversation with one of the customer service representatives for help on selecting a tall water slide that would be suitable for all adults and children she was mislead into purchasing an expensive and challenging water slide - 24' Velocity Extreme Water Slide. This particular water slide is supposed to mimic rock climbing but many of the actual inflated slats for rocks are very flimsy and fail easily when trying to climb up the water slide. Not to mention the fact that if you weigh over 100 pounds this is not the ride for you!!! The more you weigh the easier these flaps give/bend down and does not support your weight! Although my little 7 year old daughter and 11 year old niece were able to get up & down easily; both are in dance and very agile!!! Some of the chubbier little children/kids were not able to get up there at all and one or two made it once or twice throughout the entire day... An adult would most likely need to be in very good physical shape to fully maneuver this particular slide and get the most out of it - for the entire rental time allotted!!! Another thing I noticed is that they picked the slide up around 7:30pm which is pretty early for a payment of $995.00 + tax!!! My friend (the purchaser) asked if she could get a discount since this was not the kind of slide we were looking for and it pretty much ruined the party!!! If the customer service rep was doing her job properly she would have directed the customer/buyer to a more appropriate slide and purchase for her occasion. Instead, she is now stuck with a large payment for a slide that she was not even able to utilize or enjoy! They refused to give her a discount at all... HOP ON POPS MOONBOUNCE SUCKS!!! I was at the event in Maryland, however, I live in NJ and paid $600.00 for an 18'slide it didn't have the rock climbing slats and both children and adults were easily able to go up and down. Surely they could have suggested something more along those lines... Again, the Customer Service Representative from this establishment failed to do her job by directing the purchaser to a slide that was not appropriate! Oh, and I had the slide that I got for $600.00 here in new jersey for the entire day - In fact, the pick up guy allowed us to keep the slide until the next morning! So in comparison Hop on Pops (www.hoponpops.com) is very unaccommodating! We had a great experience with Hop on Pop's. They called in the morning to see if we wanted to cancel due to forecast, but we were optimistic. Very glad we did. Our four hour rental ended up being for the day as they dropped off early and picked up late - a great time for the kids. The huge moon bounce/slide was clean, in great condition (no patches or visible signs of wear), and the tables we rented were just as expected. We didn't have to do a thing except plug it in, as the HOP's staff set it all up. They were just as efficient at pick up time. We'll definitely rent from them again. They were great! The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars was because their physical location was so difficult to find. Unmarked and tucked in the back of an industrial complex. But, their SERVICE was great!! Easy to communicate with, informative staff, they arrived on time, explained everything very well, were very nice, and when they came back...again on time! This is the second time we have used Hop on Pop's to rent a moon bounce for my son's birthday. Hop on Pops are great with customer service. They came to my home to measure to make sure the unit would fit in our drive way at no extra charge. They have a great selection. Which worked so well with the theme of the party last year it was Star War's and they have a Space ship enterprise super fun with an attached slide. This year was a Ninjago party and they have a huge red dragon that fit perfect with the theme. My son was thrilled so were his friend's. They come and set up and take it down. I contacted Hop on Pop's to rent a bouncy castle for a party I was throwing. They were great to work with from start to finish. When it seemed like the bouncy castle set up was going to interfere with the rest of the party set up (catering, tents etc), I received a personal call from the office and they arranged to have their delivery personnel come at a specific time and move their truck out of the way of any other people. However, they arrived early and were set up in 15 minutes! The kids loved the castle - it was clean and well maintained. Their delivery personnel went over all the safety features and rules with me and they showed up right on time to collect the equipment (much to the sadness of the kids!) They are one of the only inflatable companies that have the proper insurance qualifications to work in the National Parks in the DC/NoVA area, so it was great to have their help in getting all of the proper paperwork for us to have a great corporate picnic at Fort Hunt Park. I picked Hop on Pop's because of the great reviews online. When I initially made the call, Jerry was super nice and helpful on the phone. He helped me pick the perfect moonbounce for my event (son's 3rd birthday party). A week or so later I looked online for other companies and realized that there were others that were cheaper than Hop on Pop's, but decided to stick with Hop on Pop's because of their great service and online reviews. My event is scheduled for June 6, 2015, and Jerry told me that the payment authorization form was due the week before. I received an automating email on June 1 saying that my reservation would be cancelled if I didn't send the form by the next day. I called Hop on Pop's to clarify that I had forgotten about the form and would send it in the following day. I was completely honest. I spoke to Jerry and again he was super nice and said that those emails were automated and that the reservation is never cancelled without giving me prior notice. the next morning at 10 am, I get a call from Ashley who was probably the rudest customer service agent I have ever spoken to. She said that if she didn't receive my form by 5 pm that day my reservation was going to be cancelled. She told me she knew I called the day before and she said I claimed that I had never received the authorization form (which is a lie, I never said that I didn't receive it, I just said that I had forgotten about it). She said they sent it to me again and expected my payment that day otherwise they would cancel my reservation. Hop on Pop is about $100 dollars more expensive than its competitors, but I chose this company because of its reputation of excellent service. If I knew I would have to put up with rude customer service representatives, I would have gone with the cheaper option. After I spoke to Ashley, I called the cheaper company but they were already booked. So unfortunately I am stuck with Hop on Pop's. If you chose to go with this company and Ashley answers the phone when you call, hang up and try again. If your lucky, Jerry will answer the phone the next time. read more
