The only item I tried from this place is the Peking Duck Crepe. I asked for the sauce on the side as I don't like a huge amount of hoisin type sauce - it overtakes the duck in my opinion. The crepe has a large amount of duck in it. The only thing I miss is the more crispy skin. There is no way to maintain prime crispiness in a wrap so I get the trade offs. The crepe has sesame seeds in it which i enjoyed, as well as the greens in the wrap. They had the roasted chili oil sauce, which is my favorite. It goes well iwth the wrap. My go-to jian bing spot in town! I've been coming to this spot for years and always stick with the cumin+ lamb jianbing with mild spice- 9/10 in my book. Wish there was a little bit more meat but overall everything was good. Parking was a hassle as always in Pasadena. There are street parking for a fee ($1.25 an hour) and lot parking nearby as well. I happened to walk by this place and saw all the types of crepes I could get right outside the window. It was nice that they had the menu and pictures of what the crepes would look like. I ordered the ham and lettuce! It's was crispy in the middle which I really liked. I'm unsure about parking since I was at the Pasadena Convention Center, but it's a quick walk. I forgot to take a pic of my actual crepe as I ate it so fast, but it's a pretty good size. The spot had great AC and was clean. The guy at the front was friendly as well. The single worker was super kind when I stopped by Friday for dinner. You know a place is good when you plan on just eating a little bit or half at the spot and then ending up devouring everything. That's happened to me twice with the jianbing here. The cumin lamb jianbing is my favorite so far. The spicy crawfish jianbing is also good. I'm usually not a big fan of duck, but I still enjoyed the Peking duck jianbing. It was so saucy and flavorful. The jianbing comes with either fried wonton skin or fried doughnut stick. Whatever one you choose, I would recommend eating your jianbing as soon as it's handed to you for the best experience. I also tried the original grilled cold noodles, which have spam inside. It's pretty good but got outshone by the cumin lamb jianbing. Curious to try some of the other flavors next time. You get a free small soybean milk if you check in on Yelp. Parking is hard to find, so you may have to walk a bit. There are a few tables and chairs inside to enjoy your order fresh off the grill. Prices are not cheap considering these items are cheap street snacks in China, but it is hard to find jianbing here (and still cheaper than flights to China). read more

Meh. It's alright. Wouldn't go out of my way for it, but was a nice solo lunch. I've had the Peking Duck twice now, and both times it was just ok. For $15, I wish it had slightly more sauce, and a tad bit more flavor, but it was still good. The soy milk was tasteless, but it was free with a Yelp check in and I didn't have another drink with me, so it was acceptable. Maybe I'm not "Asian" enough, but I struggled with how I'm supposed to eat this crepe! Was I supposed to roll it? Or eat it like a sandwich? I wasn't sure... It would've been a lot messier if I hadn't asked the associates for eating suggestions (lol!) but I managed. The braised pork biscuit..I usually don't order anything with such biscuit because it always looked dry and hard to me. However, I decided to give it a try and I was glad I did. The biscuit was soft enough and goes pretty well with the braised pork. The pork was so tender, juicy and flavorful. I really enjoyed it. I decided to also ordered the grilled cold noodle because like I said, it sounded funny strange. Grilled but also cold? Lol and thru photos, I didn't even see any noodles. I say this item was pretty unique. Portion was a bit small but I think it does take up quite some time to make. It was layered with thin a egg, a thin ham and a thin noodle. It came with some small pieces of spams. Pretty tasty IMO. However, some chili would definitely make it better. This item was actually warm and not cold at all lol I was able to check in to get a free soy milk. It was yummy and fresh. I liked it. Most likely I will return. Nowadays, it can be difficult for restaurants to survive. Some people may think the price here is a bit much but to me, to be able to order 4 items for like $25 including tips was not so bad. I love Jian Bing so much!! We've been coming here since before covid, and it's nice to be able to sit inside again and eat the hot, fresh Jian Bing. I've had many different kinds, and all are delicious. They really explained their menu. Today, we also had the preserved pork and egg congee, the tea egg, and the soy milk. The congee and tea egg are fine. You can order the soy milk hot or cold, sweetened or unsweetened. I am interested in trying the duck wings or maybe a bento, but I'm really only interested in their perfect Jian Bing. Heads up. The service is pretty slow. The pork belly crepe was fully of flavor and each bite got better and better. I saved the chicken crepe and bento for dinner and although it wasn't as fresh since many hours passed, it was still very enjoyable. One tip I would give is to order ahead of time. I was a walk-in order, and it took approximately 15 minutes. There were several phone or online orders that came in and out so you can tell they were pretty busy. The prices are affordable, although on the higher end of the affordable spectrum.
