Our AC went out on one of the hottest days, and we were so thankful that Mario was able to come out within just two hours! He was professional, knowledgeable, and had our AC up and running again quickly. He was also honest with us about the fact that we will eventually need a whole new system, and there was absolutely no pressure or pushiness. After this experience, I would 100% trust them to replace our entire system when the time comes. Highly recommend this company for their quick response, honesty, and great service! Thank you Mario! read more

Stop reading and call Mario! I had Mario come out for a full HVAC replacement, and I couldn't be happier with the service. He responded super quickly with a very competitive quote that beat out the other estimates I got. Even better, he showed up the same day to get started--no waiting around like with some companies. On top of the main job, he went above and beyond by replacing some extra insulation and fixing ductwork free of charge. Everything works perfectly now, and whenever I need HVAC work in the future, Mario will be my first call. Highly recommend--5 stars all the way! read more

Mario and his team were extremely responsive and fast. They came in for an inspection and realizing that the unit was completely out, have a reasonable quote for a new unit and installation. Upon requesting a speedy installation, they came in early Saturday morning and were done with the installation in less than an hour. Nicely done - will definitely recommend. read more

Quick response, prompt service, professionally dressed, and knowledgeable! Mario didn't hesitate to add us onto his schedule the day of my inquiry. It was the easiest, hassle free experience. Thanks much Mario! read more

Mario was fantastic! He came out the same day and managed to revive our incredibly old AC with some new parts instead of an entire new unit. He talked us through the process of getting it updated whenever we're ready. Very trustworthy and professional. Highly recommend! read more

I was glad when Mario said he could have a technician available in 2 hours. One of the hottest day before 4th of July & my air conditioning went on the Fritz. Abel showed up right on time, diagnosed the problem, then proceeded to educate me on keeping my unit functional without having to bear the repair costs in the future. Abel is friendly & cleaned up the area, rolled my hose up (used to clean coils) I felt it was a little pricey, but not going to argue when the temp is 102, I just needed it fixed & that's what I got. If you have an emergency, give MDB HVAC a call They are friendly & gives you prompt service!!' read more

Mario goes out of his way to be transparent. He explained what he was doing, showed me what was wrong and how he diagnosed the problem. He explained how keeping some of the vents in the house closed was putting undue strain on the AC system. He was fast but thorough. I was really happy with his service. read more

Came out to give me an estimate. Charged for a service call. Helper spoke Spanish in front of me. Said he would be in touch within a couple days. Never heard again and no estimate provided read more

Mario was excellent! I called with our furnace issue he gave the price over the phone and showed up the next day on time. He was patient, and explained the issues and how he was fixing them. He charged the exact amount he said he would. Any issues in the future I will be calling him first thing. I 100% would recommend him read more

My AC was malfunctioning so I called MDB Same Day HVAC, and someone came that very afternoon. The technician fixed the AC in a couple hours, and it's been working great ever since! read more

Mario was vary responsive and his team very professional. Felt a bit over priced for a fuse change and diagnostic/labor. That being said having AC at your fingertips during a heat wave is money well spent. read more

This really was same day AC service. Mario was able to come out a few hours after I made contact on Yelp. He was extremely knowledgeable and showed us what he was doing while he tested the compressor. Less than an hour and we were back to cool air with a few parts changed out and he even did a service while he was here. Highly recommend. read more

Excellent company to work with. Very responsible and most important honest. There are many companies that try to sell you things that you don't need. This company provided a very competitive rate and I was very happy with the results. I would 100 percent recommend this as a prior service member for over 20 years of service. read more

During a horrible heatwave last summer our AC stopped blowing cold air. I called a few HVAC companies but had to leave messages. Mario was the only one who called back and came out same day. He came out and took a look and told my husband that the capacitor needed to be replaced. He said he would gladly do it for $400+. My husband doesn't have the best knowledge of AC's but he smart enough to know that the part doesn't cost more the $20 on Amazon. :/ We told him thanks but no thanks read more

Be careful with Mario. First of all he doesn't use scales when doing refill of the A/C system with refrigerant. Honest contractors always use scales. It means he just overcharged us. Second is the price of R22 refrigerant is $140/lb and it's a lot. Quick search in internet can give you $40/lb. That's a hell of a markup! Giving two stars, not one, just because he came the same day. Take 3 starts off for trustworthiness. So, just stay away. read more

Outstanding and prompt service. I called MDB to get my heater fixed and they came the same day with affordable pricing. I would definitely recommend their services! read more

Mario was great. Explained everything he did and gave a fair price. He originally just filled our refrigerant but two days later it was out again. We had a very old system so it was time to replace it. We had actually been told by another company about three years ago that we would need to replace it that year so I'm happy it lasted as long as it did. Mario knocked a lot off for the installation since the original fix didn't work. Him and his brother worked hard all day and part of the next day to get it done. They wore masks and did everything safely re:covid. No one wants to have to replace their system but overall I had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I had an issue with my furnace last night. I found MDB same day on Nextdoor. I called MDB this morning and MARIO and his crew came in today. He didn't take too long to make it work again. They're very professional, and their price is very reasonable. Thank you MDB. read more

MDB Same Day HVAC DOES IT AGAIN!! Mario (technician) goes above and beyond for his customers. I have a house that I'm renting out and it just happened that the thermostat breaks on me during a walk thru with the new tenant. I immediately hit up Mario regarding my issue and he fit me in his schedule the next day. Mario was professional, asked me exactly what happened and found the cheapest and most effective solution. He hooked up a new thermostat and recharged the AC unit with a few pounds of refrigerant and BAM! ICE COLD! Thank you again Mario for going above and beyond especially with all of this crazy hot heat. Now the new tenants get to enjoy a welcoming, cool new home. read more

Do your self a favor don't use the company I am currently taking this company to court for fraud of course they are same day service that's how the take total advantage of people ethically the worst to deal with basically dishonest and crooked if u decide to use them anyway I would record everything he does We called him out cause are ac unit would not turn on one day not that it was not cold but it would not turn on Mario came out check it said it needed an electric starter we approved it for 550 then he said he would check are refrigerant level and said it was low couple pounds but he did not have refrigerant on truck we would have to call back for that another trip and house call charge hmm well we did not do that because it was blowing cold. 2 weeks later it was blowing hot we called him out again now he said it had a leak and wanted to sell a new unit 5000 dollars I said for now just fill it. He charged for ten pounds refrigerant I watched him put it in no scale asked how he knew it was ten pounds he said he could feel the difference in the can ridicule's as I thought about it later in my research he should have used a scale anyway he charged 900 more for that call after he left I went and looked at it and noticed it had a plastic cap on fittings I went to google and found this was a big No no it should be cooper or brass sealing cap I went and got a got one Cap from home depot installed it and monitored the ac temp 3 moths later still blows cold 56 degrees out of vents so I decided that was enough time to test it once first time after he left it was completely empty after 2 weeks. I let him know about this and asked for a full refund month later I still have not heard back from him I will be taking them to court now stay away from this company takes advantage of emergency situations overcharges and dishonest one star is only way I could leave this review or else it would be no star Well I emailed u a letter almost month ago and also emailed to your company In that letter in that email after I let you know what had happened you still have not responded to me I told you if I didn't get a full refund I would be going to yelp Google and I would also file a complaint with the contractors license bureau including small claims court it's not that I need the money it's the point of the matter you took it advantage and if you read the other complaints on here, you've taken advantage before so I'll see you in court ****** PS I have a receipt from you so I can show you who I am****** but you know don't try to say you don't every one be ware of Mario from MDB Same Day Hvac read more

Welp..sadly our leak was beyond repair and after just a day or two we were in the same boat of a problem with no AC and we made the decision to go ahead and take the plunge into a new system. Mario was once again right on top of it, replying within minutes to let us know how sorry it was that the smaller investment wasn't the answer, and even kind enough to knock the entire cost of the previous work off of the new job since it was too far gone to hold a fix. That spoke volumes to me on his compassion for others. I appreciated it very much. As for the new unit and that job, the reason for a 2nd review, here we go! Mario and his co-workers were here on time, worked efficiently, organized, and had great respect for our home and property. You wouldn't even know he had been here working afterward as it looked exactly as it did when he arrived, just with a beautiful new system :D Cleaning up after one's self is another big plus for me, because it's not an area I've been lucky in with other companies over the years lol, so I appreciated that they took the time to really do a detailed job of it. Mario truly cares for his clients and loves what he does. He even went as far as to come back to my home when I thought something wasn't working correctly and I couldn't find my husbands tools to check the two things myself re: the AC, on a Saturday evening, having to leave his family to come to ensure that it wasn't something with the new unit. It wasn't, it was our thermostat, and I felt so bad that I had him come out, but he was beyond kind about it and made me feel much better about my mistake. All in all just a great guy, great team, and great job. Thank you to all of them. Definitely recommend! read more

I reached out to mechanics nearby my area on a Friday when my furnace/heater stopped working. Mario responded very quickly and provided a cheap consultation price. He was able to come by on Monday morning. Inspected the furnace, explained my options to me very clearly, and gave me the pricing for each option (which seemed fair and reasonable). We figured since the furnace was very old, we would go ahead and replace the furnace altogether instead of just fixing the blower/fan, which was the component that had stopped working. Mario was able to pick up a new furnace in a few hours, returned and installed the new one. I finally have a working heating unit! All in all, Mario's service was fast and efficient, trustworthy, and Mario provided friendly and honest service. Very satisfied and highly recommended! read more

Mario is easy to contact and very responsive. He showed up same day. However, he was unable to diagnose the problem with our furnace and never got back to us despite promising to send an estimate. And other companies disagreed with his assessment. read more

My Brentwood rental property outside AC condenser stopped working. Mario was able to go there within an hour I talked to him. Diagnosed the problem which is more than the starter capacitor, explained and sent me pictures. The next day he fixed it by 2pm. My tenant only needed to suffer a couple of hours of 100 degree heat! Mario is easy to work with, reasonable and he kept me informed the process through out. Yes, I recommend him!! read more

The temperature suddenly dropped and my furnace couldn't turn on heat. Called a few places on yelp, all too busy to come out. Had one appointment with no show. While walking in downtown Orinda I saw a nice truck with HVAC letter. Flagged the truck down(desperate time call for desperate measure :), the owner Mario was checking a client in Orinda and agreed to stop by after. It was late and Mario came as he promised. He was efficient, quickly diagnosed the issue and his quote was very reasonable. We are very grateful that he came after a long day of working. He could have easily said no. I want to put in this review for him; and hope that we gave these small business a chance which doesn't always have the time & resources for marketing. Compared to large HVAC firm with hundreds reviews, and shows up first under Yelp search(which I have also used in the past); my experience with MDB stands out! Mario is awesome! read more

Mario was quick to respond to my inquiry and as the name of the company says, arranged to come by the same day to assess and diagnose the furnace problem. His quote was fair and he and his team completed the repair the very next day. His paperwork is complete and lists the warranty information. Mario was prompt and professional from start to finish.
