Exceptional Service This Is the Place to Go for iPhone…read moreRepairs I've now been to iPhone Repair in Walnut Creek more than five times, and every single experience has been nothing short of exceptional. At this point, I don't even think twice about where I'm going when I need my phone repaired I already know exactly who I can trust. From the moment you walk in, the entire experience feels professional, organized, welcoming, and genuinely customer-focused. The communication is excellent, the technicians are knowledgeable, and the quality of the work consistently speaks for itself. Every time I've brought my phone in for a screen replacement or other service, the process has been straightforward, hassle-free, and handled with care. The technicians are top tier, and the customer service is equally impressive. They demonstrate professionalism, integrity, courtesy, patience, and genuine appreciation for their customers. Those qualities matter, especially when you're handing someone an expensive device that you depend on every day. I've had the opportunity to experience their service over five different times, and I can honestly say I've been completely satisfied every single time. That consistency is what separates a good repair shop from an outstanding one. If you're looking for a place in Walnut Creek where you can bring your iPhone and feel confident that you're going to receive quality workmanship, honest communication, excellent customer service, and respect for your time and property, I highly recommend this place. Five stars doesn't really capture how consistently positive my experiences have been. These guys have earned my trust, and whenever I need a repair, this is the first place I think of. Thank you to the entire team for continuing to provide such an outstanding level of service. Keep doing what you're doing you've built something worth recognizing.

The previous day I had gone to the Apple store where they made me wait for an hour and half and then claimed they couldn't diagnose the problem without a serial number or IMEI number, which I didn't have. They also told me it might cost $800 and urged me strongly to upgrade to a 17 or 18. (They don't really want to repair your phone--they just want to seel you a new one.) Ilyas did not need any number; all he did was remove the old damaged screen, said the inner workings were fine, and then he gave me a new screen, fixed a bend in the frame, and off I went. I am not amending or deleting my review of yesterday regarding my call with this business. Rather,…read moreI am posting this as a supplement based on my long call with the same business today and to inform the public about their business changes. In the response to my original review, "Will" (who I understood to be the owner of the business, as represented on Yelp) suggested that I cool off and call them back to let them explain what is going on with their services and prices. After thinking about that, and based on my long very good relationship with Will over the years, I decided to take him up on the offer. Today I called ComputerUSA again. The woman I spoke with yesterday answered the phone. I asked to speak with Will, the owner. She told me Will was not available and that he is no longer the owner of the company, that she is now the owner. I expressed surprised because, during our call yesterday, she confirmed that Will was the owner and that she would become the owner "very soon". [I would note that, at least twice during our conversation today, she said she was "not happy to have to say that she is the owner of the business". What???] When I noted that discrepancy, she simply responded that she is the owner. We then had a call that lasted about an hour. That call was, at times, confusing, challenging, enlightening and very disappointing. But, it was very valuable at the end. We first discussed my question from yesterday about the planned future of the company. After again noting is was their initial intention to close the business, she said they decided to restructure the business and make it profitable. Without rehashing most of what was said, the bottom line is they are COMPLETELY changing the business model for ComputerUSA and the company we have used for years no longer exists. If she had made that more clear yesterday, we would have had a shorter and less antagonistic call. [I think that this is one of the best uses of Yelp - to let others know that a business they have been using is changing dramatically.] Yesterday we discussed 4 different services I currently get from ComputerUSA: security, remote access, Microsoft program support (for me, Office 365) and backup services. Yesterday she seemed to confirm they would continue those 4 services, but for substantially increased costs: $110 a month versus my current payment of $25.99 per month (an increase of 400%). Today that changed. Today she said they have decided to no longer offer back-up services to individuals. She claimed that doing back-up in accordance with the current legal requirements is MUCH more complicated and expensive than what ComputerUSA had been doing (she had a few serious criticisms of Will). Thus, they will not offer it going forward. Today she also said they have decided that they will not offer support services from Microsoft programs - she really dislikes Microsoft and doesn't want to deal with them. She did say that would continue to offer the security and remote access services to individuals (at a significantly increased cost), but very clearly "WARNED" me that they will likely discontinue the remote services in the next 6 months. That leaves only one service going forward. Thus, as she recommended, I need to research an alternative provider for the services (and she claimed there are many out there). So the bottom line is they are significantly changing the business model, which they of course have every right to do. It would have been good if they had been more clear about that. Looking at some of the earlier Yelp reviews for ComputerUSA I see many people who had the same very successful relationship with the former ComputerUSA as I did. I and my husband used their services for MANY years. I really enjoyed working with Will, Chris and all of the staff. They were friendly, helpful, very capable, responsive, etc., but that no longer exists. At the end of our call she noted that she does not want to do business with me as a client going forward. And she suggested I probably don't want to be doing business with her. On that we were in complete agreement. So, for those of you that have used ComputerUSA in the past, know going forward that company and their services no longer exists. Caveat emptor.

If you have an iphone, one of your biggest issues is your battery draining. When my lil man's phone…read morewas draining by 20% in less than 15 minutes, I knew it was time for him to get a new phone. When we got to AT&T we found out he wasn't qualified for an upgrade. Plan B...fix his battery and pronto since I didn't want him getting in trouble with his girlfriend for not texting her back right away...yup I'm an awesome mama. Haha. Anyways, pulling out my own iphone and searching on yelp for iphone repair stores in the Contra Costa area was harder than I thought. I called several places and all of them went straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail at several companies and this company was the first to get back to me. The cost of battery replacement and diagnosis for an iphone 4S was $40 and it will be ready in 10-15 minutes. So on our way there. I seriously thought I was in the wrong area, since the shop is actually someone's apartment and the technician will meet you at the front of the entrance. I handed him the phone and he ran off. No joking when I say he RAN OFF!! He was booking like he stole something or was running away from the cops. It was hilarious. We started joking around and saying, there goes your phone, never to return. Trust me we thought this company was sketchy and the phone would not come back to us or it would even be worse. After 10-15 minutes. The technician came back with a brand new battery and added a screen protector at no extra charge. I am proud to say the phone is working great now. This is when the terms "Don't judge a book by its cover". The owner of the company who called me back was very courteous and the technician was super nice. He wasn't upset that we were running 20 minutes behind. He said "no rush, drive safely". I thought that was really nice. I can't give it a full 5 stars since their competitors are charging $30 for the same service and some have a brick and mortar location. Nonetheless, they did a great job.
