I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Georgia Eye Partners. My appointment was…read morescheduled for 10:00 AM, and I was not even called back until after 11:00 AM. The office later explained that there were only two doctors and three technicians working that day, but staffing issues should not become the patient's burden -- especially without proper communication or time management. What made the situation even more frustrating was seeing another patient with a 10:30 AM appointment get seen before I was ever called. At that point, it became very clear that appointments were not being handled fairly or efficiently. The delays became so excessive that I ultimately had to leave without being seen because the office had run so far behind schedule. Patients organize their entire day around medical appointments, and wasting over an hour of someone's time with little transparency or urgency is unacceptable. I understand that unexpected situations happen in healthcare, but this experience reflected poor scheduling, poor communication, and a lack of respect for patients' time. If the office knows it is severely understaffed or running significantly behind, patients should be informed upfront instead of being left sitting indefinitely in a waiting room. If you are someone who values your time, schedule, and basic professionalism, this may not be the location for you. Very disappointing experience overall.

These people are unprofessional and just want your money! The young person doing my eye exam was…read morechewing gum and had a negative attitude, then the doctor who followed up seemed to have no interest in giving me information, then they said I needed Cataract Surgery and sent me to talk to the financial person to get prices. I had a bad feeling about them and wanted another opinion so I went to get another exam at Emory Hospital. This exam was much more thorough, nicer people and Much more professional. I turned out that I did NOT need surgery at all......just Night Glasses for driving at night to cut down the glare. I have a slight astigmatism in one eye, not cataracts. Don't waste your money on Georgia Eye Partners!

I use to use an eye care provider who for no explainable reason closed its doors and it forces me…read moreto find a new Eye care provider. I began searching for a private eye care (not a chain) that was close to my house and worried that I wouldn't be able to find one I liked. My search has now ended. This office has a friendly and professional staff, thorough exams with providers that listen and answer all of your questions. If you need an eye doctor that you can have pure confidence in this is your place.

I went to DHEC to purchase my first pair of progressive glasses. The staff that helped were…read morewonderful and helped me to pick out frames. However, the 7 day return policy is not flexible enough. When it comes to progressives, you need a few days to adjust to them. If there's a problem, one needs time to return to the store, find out that the prescription might be wrong, reschedule another ophthalmologist appt, and then return again with a new prescription. For people who work, it is not possible to miss so much work--or get another doctor's appointment so quickly--and return to fix the glasses. I spent a few hundred dollars for unwearable glasses because I work full-time and could not get back into the store with a new prescription within 7 days. I had to wait another year before I could address this due to insurance coverage. I recommend DHEC for standard glasses and the outstanding staff, but if you need progressives that might need some adjustments over time, you might want to consider a place with a more lenient policy.

My family and I have been going to Ross Eyecare for decades. The staff is always friendly and…read moreresponsive. Dr Butterwick is fabulous and because of his thoroughness, he diagnosed me with a degenerative disease years ago, before it got worse; and we've been treating it since then with success. Can't say enough positive things about this team.

I had an appointment at Ross Eye Care Group for 8:45am. As I got caught up in World Cup Traffic and…read morerealized I would be 5 minutes late for my appointment, I called to advise them. I was told that appointments were given a 15 minute grace period. The receptionist then asked if I would be able to get there by 9:00am. I told her my GPS was showing I would but I didn't know what traffic would do. She thanked me for calling and we hung up. I wound up arriving at 9:03am due to 2 lanes being blocked because of an accident. I was told that I would have to reschedule because I was a new patient and there was paperwork I would have to fill out. I asked why the receptionist didn't tell me that I wouldn't be seen if I was past the grace period. The check-in person said that she heard the receptionist tell me that they give a 15 minute grace period. To be clear, the receptionist didn't tell me my appt would be canceled. I asked if 3 minutes really made that big of a difference and she said "yes because I was a new patient". So, after traveling 90 minutes to get to this appt based on a friend's recommendation, I left without seeing anyone. I understand that doctors have tight schedules, you as the patient have to allow for Atlanta rush hour traffic (which I did do by buffering for an extra 45 minutes) and they told me I had a 15 minute grace period. I am frustrated that I now have to turn around over 3 minutes. I guess if you have to give one patient more grace, it's too much. They have their rules and I have my disappointment. I advise anyone making a morning appointment to allow 60 minutes because 45 wasn't enough for me personally. This office rates high. I'm sure they are great if you're lucky enough to get there on time.
