I said yes I signed in and as a matter of fact, I spoke with you and said that I checked new patient even though I had been there about four years prior. They had thrown the sheet of paper with my name on it in the garbage. I get back for the exam. I was asked if I wanted a refraction after I was told that I had 2020 vision. Still not sure why I would need a refraction so I said no. Come to find out they billed my insurance VSP for the refraction, even though it was not performed. THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL INSURANCE FRAUD. Not to mention, they proceeded to bill my medical insurance without my knowledge because I had told them that my eyes watered on occasion they also proceeded to tell me that I have these little tiny mites on my eye lids (this is very common) that I don't even know if I have because I don't trust this practice. instead of going through VSP my eye insurance they filed everything under my medical which has a $6000 deductible. All unbeknown to me that this was going to occur. I tried calling to get an explanation and got disconnected. Was told that I had the wrong number even though the call was transferred internally. Got a hold of someone by the name of David Turner, who assured me that he would handle the billing. Received a bill yesterday in the mail so I decided to go in. They proceeded to want to charge me, but in the end, they supposedly have corrected the issue. Then today after I had gone in about four hours later, I get an appointment sent to me that I did not make for November 2. So I had to call and get that canceled. Supposedly they goofed and that appointment was supposed to go to someone else and not me. Needless to say, I am going to find another practice. This place is not a place to go for your eyes to be checked. Almost forgot, the tech proceeded to say to me I know this might sound awkward but would you leave positive feedback on Yelp. They said that they have been asked to tell all their patients REALLY????

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Georgia Eye Partners. My appointment was…read morescheduled for 10:00 AM, and I was not even called back until after 11:00 AM. The office later explained that there were only two doctors and three technicians working that day, but staffing issues should not become the patient's burden -- especially without proper communication or time management. What made the situation even more frustrating was seeing another patient with a 10:30 AM appointment get seen before I was ever called. At that point, it became very clear that appointments were not being handled fairly or efficiently. The delays became so excessive that I ultimately had to leave without being seen because the office had run so far behind schedule. Patients organize their entire day around medical appointments, and wasting over an hour of someone's time with little transparency or urgency is unacceptable. I understand that unexpected situations happen in healthcare, but this experience reflected poor scheduling, poor communication, and a lack of respect for patients' time. If the office knows it is severely understaffed or running significantly behind, patients should be informed upfront instead of being left sitting indefinitely in a waiting room. If you are someone who values your time, schedule, and basic professionalism, this may not be the location for you. Very disappointing experience overall.

At the follow-up visit, my contacts were switched to another brand, and the office staff managed the switch for me. Prior to my appointment, I asked that they obtain a trial pair of colored contact lenses, and they agreed with no problem. I've been wearing glasses since I was 14 and contacts since 18. My previous optometrist retired and I struggled to find a new doctor. I'm glad that I found Dr. Brillante.

I went to DHEC to purchase my first pair of progressive glasses. The staff that helped were…read morewonderful and helped me to pick out frames. However, the 7 day return policy is not flexible enough. When it comes to progressives, you need a few days to adjust to them. If there's a problem, one needs time to return to the store, find out that the prescription might be wrong, reschedule another ophthalmologist appt, and then return again with a new prescription. For people who work, it is not possible to miss so much work--or get another doctor's appointment so quickly--and return to fix the glasses. I spent a few hundred dollars for unwearable glasses because I work full-time and could not get back into the store with a new prescription within 7 days. I had to wait another year before I could address this due to insurance coverage. I recommend DHEC for standard glasses and the outstanding staff, but if you need progressives that might need some adjustments over time, you might want to consider a place with a more lenient policy.

They... - focus on research rather than profit, which mean they generally carry the latest technology - better scores for patient happiness since EEC hypothetically would value people over profits - offer top tier graduate and professional programs (like their medical programs) My entire experience, from pre-ops to my actual eye surgery to my post-op appointment, was for the most part seamless thanks to Dr. Praneetha Thulasi. I asked her so many questions, and she never once answered without ever rolling her eyes or exemplifying any impatience. She explained as much as she could in layman's terms to me, too. She also executed my surgery flawlessly. Before, "white clouds" in my eye would obstruct my few making it even difficult for me to read. I had trouble driving at night. I couldn't enjoy life at times, honestly. But after my surgery, life never looked so clear. Thank you so much, Dr. Thulasi. I appreciate your masterfulness implanting that multifocal lens into my right eye. My only feedback? The clinic that performed my operation could have done a better job communicating my appointment time... I received three calls from three different people, and a few opportunities to improve reside there. The pharmacy that also provided the pre and post-op drops gave me the wrong prescription (but that's on them, really).
