I stated to the staff that I wasn't informed this would be happening and the staff says she would check with the Doctor to see if it had to be done. After doing so she came back and said yes that is a requirement. I asked why I wasn't told when I made the appt or the 3 other text messages I received regarding appt reminders. At this point I asked to see a manager and Lolly finally came. As I expressed, I should have been informed because I had to drive and if I had known, I would have had a driver and I had to go to work she began to laugh and did so throughout me speaking with her. She then stated she would ask if two other doctors could see me but came back and stated nobody would see me without dilating my eyes. I asked Lolly why this wasn't part wasn't of making an appointment process? Lolly stated she had to think about it but could reschedule me an appt. I'm livid because I waited several weeks for this appt, and losing work just sitting here only to be told to reschedule. I stated to Lolly at this point I want a refund, she tells me to have a seat and she would be back, also still laughing. They were quick to take my money when I came in the door but took a while to refund it. This is an unprofessional practice, and the management not aware of what is going on in the practice. This lets you know that this clinic has issues. I should have read the reviews before even making this appointment but went based on a referral.

The doctor was professional, through and his experienced backed it! He was able to fit me into contacts when no one else could considering my special circumstances. I definitely recommend him and he does everything the old school way which is honestly the best way. These virtual exams are not it! They also accept my vision insurance that most people don't accept. You can tell all of his patients has been coming here their entire lifetime. I even overheard him mention that he'll see one of them next year for their annual exam! The front desk staff was amazing as well. So nice and informative. When I called to schedule an appointment they went above and beyond and answered all my questions. They were even able to check my insurance plans to tell me how much I'm expected to pay out of pocket.

I'm glad I followed my gut, we received nothing but superior customer service from the moment we stepped through the door. The young ladies at the front desk were friendly, the O.D. Kimberly Dreuitt was friendly and patient as well. The guy I checked out with David was helpful and informative when it came to deciding on whether or not to purchase the no line progressive lenses or the lines bifocals. I had purchased a pair of no line progressives from another Eyewear place 2 years ago and they didn't take the time to explain anything to me as a first time bifocal wearer. I informed David that I had a brand new pair that I wasn't happy with and he took the time to explain how to get used to them. He saved me time and money, I will try to get used to the previous pair for now and am sure I'll be happy with the reading glasses that I purchased today. America's Best will be my new home when it comes to eyewear from now on!

Overall, my experience was just okay…read more I did appreciate the pace of the exam it felt efficient and not rushed, which I liked. However, the overall customer service left a lot to be desired. Maybe it was just an off day, but no one seemed very engaged or excited to help me. I understand working on a Saturday isn't always ideal, but as a patient, you can definitely feel the difference in energy. After my exam, I was told I could browse the glasses if I was interested, so I went over specifically looking for the Meta frames. I spent about 30 minutes trying on and looking at options, and not once did anyone approach me to offer help or guidance. As a first-time visitor, I wasn't sure what the process was, and the lack of assistance was frustrating. I was genuinely interested in purchasing a pair, but the experience made me feel like I'd rather spend my money somewhere else.

I went out and completed my order but when the glasses came back I could not see out of them. They were the completely wrong prescription. A young female doctor then did another exam, a thorough one this time. We went out and re-ordered the glasses, but after waiting for them for two weeks, when I called to see if they were in yet, apparently the order had been canceled for some reason. As I write this, the story is not over because I'm waiting a call back to tell me exactly what happened and what maybe we can do to fix the problem. Everyone there is very nice, but nice isn't sufficient if everything's getting screwed up. A couple of hours later: I never got a call back so after a couple of hours, I called back myself. It turns out that in entering the order somebody left out a line of measurements (don't ask me to explain it because I don't understand it exactly). They then said it'd be about a week before I get my glasses now that they've got it straightened out. I asked them to please put me to the front of the line since I've already waited three weeks. They said they'd see what they could do. I looked back through my credit card statement to see what day all this started. October 15 was the original eye exam and purchase of glasses ($349 out-of-pocket - I forget what the insurance portion was). I went to get the new glasses on October 29, only to find out that they had the wrong prescription. It is now November 10 and hopefully now the lab will get to work on my new glasses. Also, I was told that the first doctor that saw me retired right after that and I may have been one of the last people he examined. I'm glad they're all friendly and trying to solve the issue, but geez!

Out of the 500 there were literally only 6 pairs to choose from that were $79. If this is what you promote you should have more to choose from. Once people are there you know they aren't going to leave. Then I asked how much to just put my prescription in my old frames and she told me over $230!!!! Don't waste your time go to a reputable eye place and get some glasses you really want.
