Got a response from 1 with an outrageous quote almost disrespectful. One never followed up even after confirming on the phone they received it (It's been 3 weeks already). The others just never responded. It wasn't until I called Microform which they ALSO ignored my quote request and the representative couldn't even find my quote email (I assume they even deleted it). I was then referred by the representative to Van Dyke Fabrication who is able to do both personal and business jobs. I look them up and realize they are a good distance away from me about 35 minutes. I was shopping locally but I realized at this point why not. Well, I'm thankful for the referral because this fabrication shop is not just good, IT'S QUALITY. I was able to finally get this crossbeam fiasco done after searching for a shop for an entire MONTH. When I originally called, Barbara directed me to email John with a quote request and I was able to drop it off the same day! John even stayed extra to see the part, just to clear up what I needed exactly (He already started the day very early too). John exceeded what I expected! He told me he would have to cut the cross beam by hand with a plasma cutter since it wouldn't fit in the machines due to it's shape, which I was completely happy with since I just needed it cut open. However, when I went to pick up the part, it was replicated ENTIRELY with my request since it was easier than cutting it. Matched and fit just like the old part with improved mounting holes for more tolerance, HOLY SMOKES. This was such a nice gesture of him, it's hard to find honest businesses like this these days.

He was very professional - he listened to my needs and gave me the quote exactly the way I asked, listing out the base price, and then the incremental cost of adding snake fencing and other optional features so I could decide how to stretch my budget. Also, his price was the lowest of the two quotes we got. In the end, we bought a house that was already fenced, but i would have used Talon Findley and will seek him out when we decide to add a courtyard gate!
