We live on a rural property in the Mayacamus Mountains, west of the town of Napa. We have three operational wells on our property with the usual system of electric pressure pumps, pressure tanks, pipes, valves, and an 11,000 gallon water storage tank. Gonzalo Salinas and his team have serviced our wells and water system for the past seven years. Their services for us have included emergency repairs, installing new pumps and valves, well cleaning (which really increased output for our older wells), water storage tank cleaning, and in 2019, drilling & operationalizing a new 400+ foot deep well to replace one damaged in the 2014 Napa earthquake. Gonzalo managed the permit process with Napa County for drilling the new well and for decommissioning the old damaged well. They have always been responsive, especially with urgent problems, and have performed their work with expertise, efficiency, and professionalism. We needed to get a new well drilled on our property in St Helena at the end of 2019. Having received 3 bids, we selected McLean-Williams based on their competitive prices, excellent customer ratings and Gonzalo's can-do attitude. The start of the drilling was unfortunate as the shelter-in-place mandates had just gone into effect. However, once the confusion had cleared, the MW crew completed the drilling quickly, hitting the target volume of water at the predicted depth. After that, MW installed the plumbing and electrical in a quality manner and in good time and we were able to get flowing water again. Then, the Glass fire hit in Sept 2020 and PG&E shut off power, shutting off water again. After 3 weeks of waiting for power to be restored, called Gonzalo for help. Within a day, he installed a small generator which should keep the water flowing to the plants until power is restored. During the course of the project numerous issues came up pertaining to permits, well siting on the property, questions from adjacent property owners and members of our homeowners association. PG&E came out and fixed a tagged pole on my property. They leave, I walk into my kitchen and no water! What a coincidence. After checking the usual suspects of water not coming out of the well I called Mclean & Williams at 3:30 PM. At 5:30 PM water was restored! And I live at a what most categorize as a remote location. In the days where everything is voicemail, texts, emails, I talked with 3 people in 20 minutes prior to the technician coming out to fix the problem. Communication is such a key issue these days that often gets dropped. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and personable. I had no water at 4pm last Thursday. I called their office and got a live operator who understood the urgency. They had someone out within 2 hours to evaluate the situation. I know about wells and along with the technician, we could see that the submersible pump wasn't pumping, but at least we verified that the well hadn't gone dry. The next morning (Friday), they had a crew and rig at my place and fixed the problem in less than two hours. These guys know their stuff and their prices are very fair. Gonzalo runs some good teams - they all operate professionally and have plenty of experience. Jose was great, works quickly and didn't leave until everything was working and cleaned up. My house has a well in the backyard. Last fall, because of an irrigation leak, all my exterior water faucets had to be shut off. After asking a friend, I was given the name of McLean and Williams. They came out and initially checked the well, then I received a call saying that they were still unsure about my well, but would be sending someone else out. Also, that I wouldn't be charged for the first visit. I wasn't home for the second visit, but was called again. It was explained to me that although I had very old equipment, with a few very minor repairs, the pump was operational and had plenty of water for my backyard. Thanks! McLean and Williams recently helped us with a very difficult well repair. We had lost pressure in our system, had a significant hole in our casing at 250 feet deep, and two holes in our galvanized pipe. We had silt and debris in our system and were without water. McLean and Williams were wonderful to work with, they applied the best technology available, provided water and a temporary pump, and had the necessary parts machined for our well. This company was super responsive, got the job done fast, and were very reasonably priced. When the pump went out to our hotel pool in Calistoga, we needed it fixed ASAP, otherwise our guests couldn't use the pool. I tried another "big name" Napa Valley pump company, but they said it couldn't happen for over a week! Also, this wasn't an easy fix. It required excavating into the ground to reach the pump near the natural hot springs in the ground. Mr. Salinas understood how urgent it was to get it done immediately - and, they did. I have dealt with this company for over 25 years. They have done two well pump changes, and, as a result of our recent, severe drought, they did a recent total clean out of the well, including its casing, with a special camera to assess the problem. They are meticulous in their work and they are unfailingly honest.
